So on the weekend I got a setup. I got the sigelei fuchai 200w with a uwell crown tank.(3.5 ml capacity) I've tried the atomizers that came with it (.15, .25, and .5 nickle) and I recently switched to .5 kanthal so that I could use my wattage mode on my mod. But now I'm finding that I'm using about half a tank to a full tank every time I hit it. I have tried changing my wattage setting anywhere from 30-80 watts and it just seems like I'm burning through so much juice. I'm using evaporated blue sky bitch as my juice with 6mg nic max VG. Just asking for ways to slow down the consumption of my juice. I take around 8-10 hits each time I hit it.

That sounds like you have a leak somewhere.

if you are hitting it @ 80 watts with 8-9 pulls your gonna burn through alot of juice. I vape my .5 ohm coils @ 38 watts and It seems like the tank Is always empty. Filling it 3 to 4 times a day. Just the nature of the beast. If you had a leak you would know about it. IE juice coming out off you air holes or all over the mod.

Sounds like the crown sub ohm tank is doing its job....

I use my DIY most the day in my tanks and save my premiums for my dripper as a now and then treat....

This isn't uncommon to use a lot but 8-10 pulls per tank.....or even half a tank for that matter seems a little excessive.

So I know this has been semi-answered but I'd like to fully answer it IF possible.

From what I hear you're using a .5 kanthal coil in the crown with a 3.5 ml capacity, correct me if I'm wrong, and each session/chain-vape (Future reference not to use hit since on the first read over till the end it sounded like you took one pull off it and your tank was gone lol) is about 8-10 pulls and it's empty or half empty.

I'm assuming your mod doesn't give you an option to switch between TC and wattage hence the change to kanthal right?

So just from a first glance even I have to say that's a lot of juice. I have experience with one subtank from about a year ago (first one to ever hit the market I believe) and it wasn't even close to that, of course it wasn't being pushed with that many watts either.

I really only deal in RDAs and even on those, said to guzzle more juice than RTAs, I get on average 50+ pulls out of 10 mls of juice maybe. Just a rough estimate.

The difference might be caused from the switch from TC to wattage mode, even though it seems way too excessive to be the cause.

Another possible cause, very slight chance, is the juice you are using isn't very high VG. Vendors who sell "max VG" juice is actually just what they feel is the highest amount of VG they can use before the taste of it isn't balanced how it should be. Meaning it might be 82% VG, mainly meaning it might not be as high in VG as you think it is such as 92%.

My suggestion is to test out another juice in TC and then in wattage and see if the difference is still noticeable, if it is then it's probably the difference between TC and wattage modes. The reason TC uses less, in my opinion not fact, is because it keeps the coils from going above a certain point which in turn limits the amount of juice it uses even if it's only slightly.

Don't take this the wrong way but I feel like you're exaggerating slightly. It probably is a very noticeable difference but I personally doubt it uses that much in that few of pulls. It's also very possible that you're 100% serious in which case, damn that's a lot of juice is about all I can say haha.

I was using TC when I had nickle atomizers, because the only way to use the TC mode was through my Ni or Ti mode. I figured I'd try a different atomizer which ended up being the kanthal. I'll look around and try the titanium atomizer as well. The only reason why I use the wattage mode is because when I have my kanthal .5 in the tank it won't do anything when I have it in TC. It won't even recognize the sub ohm when I try it either. It just stays at .14ish when I hit it.

Thats because kanthol can only be run in wattage mode..not temp control.! Nickle and titanium are for temp control. in Ni or Ti modes respectively.
If im not mistaken the crown .5 ohm coils are ss. If you have that option on your mod you can run it in stainless steel temp control.. But a lot of mods don't have those settings. and the coils run perfectly in wattage mode. So basally to recap the .25 ohm and the .5 ohm duall coils should be run in wattage mode unless you have a advanced mode with ss mode. Some one else correct me if i am wrong. o_O

Ya that sounds about right... Do you diy as well? I got a recipe for this juice I really like and I kind of got a quote on all the ingredients and I'm wondering if my math is correct because what I've calculated is that I could make about 53 50 ml bottles off of the estimated ingredients I order... It just sounds really REALLY cheap. I've got a wish list made up for my ingredients that come to around 90$ and that allows me to make around 53 bottles... Does that sound about right?

In today's lesson boys and girls.

We discuss "Introduction to Sub Ohm & High Wattage". If you're old enough, you can use the 454 Chevelle SS versus the Toyota Prius as a standard to compare your tank and Mod.

Obviously, the Prius isn't as cool as the Chevelle. But uses WAY less gas.

Your mileage may vary.

sounds right diy is way cheaper than over priced juice. a 50 ml bottle cost me between a dollar or two depending on bottle nic level and how much flavouring.

My average cost, including the cost of the bottle. Is less than $1 per 30ml. Just factoring the juice, it's about 65 cents or less

It all depends on how expensive your ingredients are and how much flavouring you use a juice with 10 or 20 % flavourings is going cut into the bottom line. Vs a 2% single flavour. And your nic levels as well 20 mg nic is gonna be more expensive than no Nic. Personally I live in Canada and Nic prices are crazy high.

I use the 0.25 SS in power mode at 60-70 watts. Yes, I burn through a ton of juice - which is why I DIY :)

It's not a very big tank of course, but top fill makes it manageable.

What kind of flavours do you make yourself? I'm looking into making the blue sky bitch clone not sure how accurate the DIY recipes are

Best advice to you is to mix by weight, I currently don't but wish I did because starting would have been so much cheaper. Other than that just pick something and go for it. I work with DIY flavor shack flavors exclusively right now, no reason other than that's where I started

There is no such thing as a Crown Ti coil, FYI... Like others said, there's not much way around it with the crown as its a guzzler. Not as bad as say the TFV4 but a guzzler nonetheless. I don't use nickel very often but I do have a Crown tank that is set up specifically for that purpose. Running it at 480 degrees on my Snow Wolf Mini (you do not manually set the watts with the mini) I've found that juice consumption is quite reasonable and last much longer than the .25 or .5 in regular wattage mode.
