TFA Root Beer Float 6-10%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 2%
TFA Sweet Cream 1%
(These two can be used in many other recipes)

or just use Tasty Puff Rasta Root Beer at 6%

Until you find which flavors and brands you like, this can be a never ending list.
As an example:
Some like CAP Creamy Yogurt best
Some like CAP Greek Yogurt best
Some like FW Yogurt best
Some like FA Yogurt best
Think I missed a couple
Many of the Yogurts have a sour note that some like, but some like the sweeter versions.

It gets worse from here when you consider the number of different Strawberry flavors/brands.
But INW Shisha Strawberry is one of the favorites used around here, and mine too.

Kinda depends on what flavors you like, Fruits, Bakery, Cinnamon, Yogurts, Custards, Cheesecakes, etc.
Don't start with LA flavorings.
CAP & TFA/TPA are probably the more forgiving brands for beginners.
FA & INW use lower amounts typically, than most of the other brands.
FW varies in amounts needed, but they do have some good flavors, and are pretty cheap.

Study some of the recipes around here to get ideas about the amounts being used.

Lots of other great info here for beginners, you just have to read some things about PG/VG/NIC, etc.

Try starting with simple 2-3 flavor mixes till you get to know some of the flavors better.

Just so you know, I'm a newb. But what I did is look for a lot of recipes I wanted to try and write down all the flavors needed. If there was a flavor that kept popping up I ordered the 15ml and for the flavors that were only in one recipe I ordered the 4ml sample bottle.

Also you should decide if you care one way or the other about diketones. If you'd rather avoid them, bullcityvapor.com does a great job of showing which ones have any diketones; TPA/TFA has a 99.9% complete list of the ingredients in their flavors, per flavor; and I think flavourArt mostly doesn't have them, though I'm not 100% certain on that, as I don't use a lot of FA flavors. It's pretty easy to avoid diketones if you prefer, but there is a lot of doubt as to the real risk they represent.

I just started a little over a month ago and will definitely recommend what @Heabob said above. I probably spent a hour or two a day for at least a week looking at recipes here, and when I would find something that sounded good to me I would read every single reply on that thread. That will give you a good cross section of people talking about their opinions, variations, etc on the recipe. One thing you will definitely find when you start doing this is that when you come across a new recipe you want to try the chance will be pretty good that you will be missing flavors. I now have 81 different flavors and in no way regret it. Pick a couple recipes and start there. From there your stash of flavors will grow naturally. Right now my most commonly used flavors would be
TPA Bavarian Cream, FA Vienna Cream, FA Cream Fresh, TPA Cheesecake Graham Crust, CAP Vanilla Custard and TPA Strawberry Ripe. I prefer bakery and creamy flavors to vape. I use a lot of the strawberry ripe due to that being the only fruit flavor I got the first time and it is used in my go to recipe for my ADV. Biggest mistake I made when I started was buying one fruit flavor and a lot of background supporting flavors. It really limited what I was able to do until I got my second order in. I should also mention that I could care less about diketones so if you do and are going to get any of the ones I mentioned check them. Pretty sure the CAP Vanilla Custard has them and not sure about the others.

I've always used this calculator, because it will also work to allow you to mix pre-made ejuices and keep the nic levels and PG/VG ratios straight -- I started with mixing pre-mades, then mixing WTA into the pre-mades, and finally to full-on DIY, and this calculator works great for all of it.
