So why is all that so hard for people to grasp over here? If all the energy and hot air put into speculation could be put into the research done in England, we might be able to make a little headway.

Probably because all the US gov'ts have been gambling with our lives, and it's only in our cessation of buying cigarettes that this ugly truth has come out, and now they are FRANTIC to a) keep the gravy train rolling, and b) hide their egregious behavior with regards to smokers and the money that smokers have contributed to this huge gambling ring.

Oh yeah, I was so stupid to forget that this country is much more concerned with money than the wellbeing of its citizens. Soon as they get their oversized piece of the pie, all will be well.

That is absolutely DESPICABLE.

My son had a terrible bedwetting problem -- it's from slow neurological development, and the only cure is TIME -- by the time he hit his teens, the problem was history.

SMH. Idiots.

It is impossible to denote context, in plain text. That's why people use emoticons. Given the sheer insanity of all these gov't agencies with regards to vaping, and the "straight" text sans emoticons, it was entirely feasible to me that it was actually true, despite its pure insanity.

Given all the recent uproar about these "camps" that think they can change gay people into straight people, the idea that a gov't agency would condone ECT for bedwetting really wasn't that big a reach. And I know that bedwetting is often considered a "telltale" for future sociopaths, but I've often thought that it's the shaming that so many parents dish out about bedwetting, rather than the bedwetting itself, that is the real problem. I suffered it as a very young child myself, so when my son suffered it (far worse than I did), I looked for the reasons for it: slow neurological development, so it makes sense that boys often suffer it much worse than girls do, since their neurological development is quite delayed, compared to girls'. It actually seems to be somewhat of a sleep disorder -- the failure to wake when the bladder is full. A sleep disorder obviously is a neurological problem. So we resorted to "Pull-Ups," and lots of sets of sheets which were laundered daily... and eventually, he did grow out of it. As every "expert" said would happen. But he is STILL one of the soundest sleepers I've ever encountered, so I'm just glad he DID grow out of it!

oh homosexuality is a banal and harmless diviation from the norm.....the devitions that will get you into real trouble are political and thought crimes those are the ones they kill for.

Heh... my mom once told me that the fact that I don't care what other people think of me meant that I'm psychopathic. I think she probably still thinks that. But then she has NEVER! been able to wrap her mind around the fact that I'm not an extension of her in every detail. :D

The older I get the more I realize that alot of the times our elders try and pass onto us things they sincerely hold as valubale, as a sincere gesture of their love for us..we need to develop a respect for their gesture even if we can't share their view.......there are those of us who are black sheep and the labels come with the territory, you're life is an individual work of art....that nobody but you will totally understand... ours is fast becoming a culture that punishes individuality.....

If it had only been a gesture, I could maybe respect it. She tried to make it a strait-jacket. ;) But I've never been one to define myself according to the thoughts/opinions of other people, which apparently pisses off some people extremely -- such as my mom. :D
