My roses are about to explode :)
I love roses. I wonder if there is a Dragon Rose. Google, here I come.

Right now I am looking at buying a gun. I have been advised to get a .32 semi automatic. Looking at a Sauer and Son used for $295. Supposedly it is good protection (better than a .22) but doesn't have a huge recoil. I know nothing about guns. DH and our friend Dennis have experience and lots of knowledge so I am at their mercy. All I really want to do right now is get the safety class and lots of target practice. I think it is time to learn about weapons.

I didn't get the S&W SD9VE that I was looking at. Instead I got a Beretta 92FS, used, from my nephew. I'm still waiting for the carry permit approval.

Furry pistol packin' mama! We shall see. Right now, money is very tight. A gun is not a priority. DH is all excited to get me a gun but he hasn't worked in over three months and we are now officially "in trouble". All the accounts receivable have done been received and gone to bills. I'm surprised we have made it this far. He is now free of the cluster headaches and will soon be a wage earner again. Unfortunately, his hip replacement seems to be giving out and he is in a lot of pain.

How did I find a man with so many health problems? I have a theory that we just burned our bodies out during the days of substance abuse and now we are paying for it. He has worked hard his entire life...always doing something physical and a bit hazardous. Love him to death but I wish he could feel good for a little while. He really deserves a break.

I am in need of replacement heads for my SubTanks and I didn't even buy anything else when I went to order them. Now that should get me a gold star on my forehead!

@Dan Knight, your post is basically Greek to me! I have read the Colorado gun laws to get ready and I will check into safety classes next. With the pain in my right thumb/hand, I will also have to try the weapon to see if I can hold and fire it. I would like to be able to pull the trigger with one hand in case that would become necessary. A two handed grip would be perfect since I could steady it and still pull the trigger. I'm talking through my hat. I have no idea about guns. I have never fired one and only held one or two.

Any handgun is 2 handed. Your offhand just steadies your shooting hand, underneath. An extended mag offers room for an extra finger on those compacts.

Wasn't meaning to speak Greek. The S&W SD9VE is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol (Smith & Wesson) that I was looking at (since I could get it new for under $300). But, the shop couldn't tell me when they would get any in. They're not allowed to order the 'Blue Star Specials' and simply have to wait until the manufacturer sends them some. So, my nephew offered to sell me his Beretta 92FS (which is also a 9mm semi-automatic). The Beretta 92FS is the civilian version of the weapon that Beretta manufactures for the US military, FBI, and most police officers. So that's what I've got now. Still waiting for the State police to approve my carry permit, so for now it stays in the apartment.
