do you mean through one sitting. like how many puffs do you take when you sit down to have a vape.

Um... I don't have any special time to "have a vape"... it sits on my desk; I vape it when I take a notion to. Usually take 1-3 puffs then set it back down, until the next time I take a notion to.

If I've been sitting around all day, I'll likely hit my mod four or five times in succession and sit it down for a bit (maybe 2 minutes--maybe 20 minutes)
In the morning I probably do 25 or 30 full lung hits with a mug of coffee before the mug is empty...possibly more (never counted them!) Once I feel the nic starting to kick in I'll take a break ~lol~

Me too I vape pretty much constantly from the time I get up till the time I fall asleep, if I wake up in the night for a drink of water it is accompanied with a vape or 10. But I smoked 4 pks. of stinkies a day before I started vaping.
ROFLMAO!-- to be honest,, i will vape the entire time i am left alone!,, when i saw the question i thought to myself,, a better question is how many mls do i vape at a sitting..........if i really like the juice then i would say 4 mls,, only because i gotta run to the bathroom

I don't vape all that much during the day at work, but in the downtime of the mornings and evenings I puff like a freight train. Counting those puffs? Lol!
If I'm not running a secondary device that day, 4-6ml's of liquid is normal for me. If I am running a secondary, that might jump up to 8 or 9ml's.

When I'm active, maybe one or two at a time. On breaks or whatever, 10-20. After that, I notice it really isn't actively enjoyable or satisfying and I don't like spending all of those precious moments just vaping away. It's just force of habit beyond that first dozen or so.

Now that I'm down to 3 nicotine I catch myself vaping a lot. I probably hit it about 6 times every time I pick it up. I get to vape at my job, so when things get rough probably about 10 times in one sitting.

Writing this one handed.... I am not allowed to vape inside anymore because my mom says it smells terrible. I think it smells like freshly baked banana bread, but that's a different story. When I'd vape in my room while playing Fallout or what have you, I'd burn a full 3 ml sometimes. Not sure how much that is in terms of hits, but it's probably over 50. Honestly, the Crown makes it easy to burn a tank in an hour regardless. Probably why I was smoking so much a couple of weeks ago when my old box died on me.

If Im at home, I have a mod in my hand or sitting right next to me and Ill hit it every couple minutes at least. So I guess weekends are just one big vape sess.
At work I probably take 20 pulls on my breaks, maybe more, I dont know, who counts and keeps track? I do know that I had one mod read around 200 puffs on the counter for the full day. And that was just one mod, and its a mod I dont particularly use all that much, so you can probably easily double or triple that for a full weekend day.

Heh... Between two of my mods that have counters -- In roughly the last 45 days, I've registered 17k puffs (averaging just over 3 seconds in duration if anyone cares). And that's just the ones that count.... Although admittedly, those are the "main" mods.
45 days / let's say 17 waking hours per = 22.22 hits per hour. Damn! Or roughly 1 hit per 3 minutes. 14 hours of fire-time...? Geez, no wonder I'm going through so much juice...
And now after doing all that math, I find that I actually got the Mini 33 days ago and have since reset meters on both mods. So you can almost double all those numbers. But even if it was from day one on the VTC, around 30 hits per hour. 1 hit every 2 minutes on average.

I think what all this proves is that vaping and smoking behavior is in no way comparable; a cigarette is a finite object which takes a finite amount of time to use; vaping just doesn't work that way! And it's stupid and pointless to try and make it do so. One of the very best things about vaping is that I can set my mod down... and it doesn't just waste away while I'm not looking. We each vape as much as we feel is necessary; for some, especially when first quitting smoking, that's pretty much constantly. But after some time goes by and the old behavior gets older and older... it calms down a LOT.

At home, there's always a mod near me. I have a hit or two every few minutes of strictly 3mg and most of my devices are around 0.3ohms. I'll vape about 7-8ml on my tanks and a little more on the dripper during the day. At work, I keep a Griffin in the office and I'll vape when I need it, maybe 5-6ml on a work day.
My job is similar to a paramedic, where I'm sitting waiting for emergency calls so there'll be days where I'm crazy busy and days where I'm not. I've had two puffs while typing this post, lol. I never feel over-nic'd with 3mg unless I'm trying to get a rush from it which is terribly hard to do.

I think you got the right idea, how long does X amount last. But then u would also have to split hot vapors from cool vapors.

Hum...a half assed servay question. Either a noob, or an ANTZ looking for propaganda. Seriously what is a puff anyway? Never heard of that unit of measurement. If by "puff" one means how many time one hits their device until satisfied that would depend on the device and the lung capacity of the user, not to mention the nicotine content of the juice being consumed. I would imagine that a cig-alike would preform differently from a box mod set at 40w with a dual sub-ohm coils, I would also imagine the lung capacity of a vaper who quit smoking three years ago would be completely different from the lung capacity of someone who switched yesterday. Also someone vaping a 12mg juice on the same device as someone using a 3mg juice would likely require 25% of the puffs required. I should know since I typically make stronger juices for when I am going to be working in a non-smoking area, as I have to treat a vape the same as I would a cigarette break.
A better question would be to ask how many mL of juice one vapes per day. In my case a 30mL of juice at 4.7mg/ml nic bottle lasts me around four days so I'll let you do the maths.

My MVP has a counter on it also. I never bothered to look at it, and that is a back up for a back up mod that doesn't have a counter on it.
I smoked between 3/4oz and 1oz of pipe tobacco a week. I can't really convert that into packs of cigarettes as I only smoked those when I was a kid. I changed to vaping on 8 February 2013.
In my experience when one reduces their nicotine strength, one usually increases their consumption of juice. At least until their body become accustomed to the new strength of juice. As I stepped down my nicotine over the course of three years, I started at 24mg then to 21mg, then 18, then 15 (I was there for a really long time), then 12 (also there a really long time), then 9, then 6, and now my nic level averages between 5mg and 4.5mg depending on the amount of flavor I add to my juice base.
I DIY my juice so in order to save time, I add flavors to a base I make at 6mg which explains the weird nic level. Since I'm not selling juice I only need to know that the nic is between 6mg and 3mg.
Well when I stared vaping had a gas station job, horrible I know now...... But it was so I wouldn't have to go out side as much. Then I got a "real" starter kit with 15 nic this cut my smoking in half 7 packs to about 3. Then picked up a rx200 with a nice RDA and just lost the want using 8 nic but the guy said I would most likely want to grab a 3 nic. Now I'm only using 3
There really isn't an equivalent. Pipe tobacco is often of a different cut than cigarette tobacco unless one is smoking what is called shag. Most pipe tobaccos are of a coarser cut than cigarette tobacco, though Prince Albert (my preferred brand of "drug store pipe tobacco") comes close to the cut of a cheaper cigarette brand.
I would venture to say it was close to 1pack to 1 1/2 packs per day. But I also smoked a pipe from the time I was 17 until I was 33 and smoked around a pack a day from when I was 12 to 17.
Could be worse, I work in a donut shop and I'm a fully trained baker! Thankfully they have me doing the baking and not having to deal with the obnoxious customers. And yes all of our customers are obnoxious.

Many are. I've not bought a new mod though in nearly a year. My two sigelei 100w boxes are perfect for my needs. That said there are those who want the latests heads and the latest mods and the latest juices. So yeah plenty of commodities to fethishize in the vape world.
Based on the puff counter on my mod and that I use the same build each time, I have found my sweet spot of 13-15 puffs each sitting.
