Big tobacco is at it again. Shows a dude in a hospital bed with a neck brace & they claim a Sub Tank on a Tube Mod blew up breaking his back & all kinds of shit. Funny part is only the glass of the tank is broken. No damage to the tube Mod at all. Nice try Big cigarette company's. No one over the age of 5 believes that Bull Shit story.

It's vanished. I saw it, read it. I guess someone smarter than a 5th grader read it & yanked it. It was total bull shit. Huffington Post wrote it. Not the most trust worthy place for news. If you happen to find it it's worth a few laughs. HP would sell their own Mother for a story.

lol so true. yahoo news and PuffingtonPost are good for laughs/entertainment articles only. The headlines on yahoo.com are chosen in such a biased manner that Goebbels himself would be proud of the propaganda factor. Articles BY yahoo are so click-baity and horribly written that the comments are always filled with "are you serious??" replies.

In my opinion, if you are willing to do simple calculations if you are into clouds, then yes. If you are vaping at more sedate levels to stop smoking, then even more so.

With a regulated device, you have all sorts of protections built into the device, that detects shorts, reverse polarity, Etc, it even allows you to adjust wattage within a usually very safe band-as with a regulated mod, resistance does not factor into amps drawn from your device, watts are what matter.

If we are talking a mechanical mod, then again, as long as you are willing to do calculations and learn to build safely, and know your batteries amp limits and basic battery safety, and are sensible, I think they are safer than cigarettes. But with a mech, you do not have the protections of a regulated mod, so if you are new, there is no reason to not go regulated with the amount of great devices there are now.

Nothing is 100% safe though-I could, and have been run over on the pavement. But, if you are comparing it to smoking, then it is much, much safer.

If you are comparing it to knitting, then there may be slightly more danger ;).

Vaping in itself is not dangerous it is the Darwin Award Candidates that are vaping who are dangerous......

In the vape store a young gentleman came into the store while I was there with the owner. He had a Kanger with NO Battery door and a broken tank which was mangled. First the guy says to him this is DANGEROUS with no battery cover and tried to get his mangled tank apart. I asked the guy what happened to the battery door and his answer was............. Ready for this? First just crickets and a blank stare..... Three more times what happened to the battery cover? Shakes his head doesn't say a word. So I ask you do not know what happened to it? Uhhhhh No? Yes, question mark! So asked if he got it that way and bought it second hand. No,it's brand new! Looked like he played hockey with it.

Wonder why vaping gets a bad rep? Guys like this vape..............
