the roll I bought was from advancevapesupply.....it was the best wire I ever used but was pretty soft/flexible, but the best tasting I've ever used!! Really not that low, this roll was 28/30. 6 wraps came out to around .2...dual

I hope! I would like to continue my involvement with RTA design. It wouldn't hurt if those of you who are fans of Alleria or Boreas helped spread the word about them. Augvape doesn't have the name recognition or reputation yet that they deserve. And obviously outside of some forums my name doesn't mean anything.

Geez, my dog just farted right near my face, damn!
I just laughed so hard I knocked over my mod!

Here ya go:
LINK for SS bundle
LINK for N80 Lower/Mid Gauges Bundle, Link for High Gauges Bundle
LINK for KA1 Bundle

This should set you up for anything..
Danke, Yay got a full gambit of SS on the way, time to get some crazy tiny SS FC builds going! and better lower guages (the stuff I have is proving to not be quite on point).

Fair enough. But, "it's expensive as shit and a very high grade of SS".... Is a much different statement than the back peddling above. It's not expensive, and it's not a high grade SS by any sense of the term. It's a cheap, low grade SS that is good for our use. Everything in a vape shop is more expensive.

For anyone that wants some, I got 40m for $15 including shipping. Cheaper the more you buy. That is probably marked up 500%. But it's better than the 10,000% markup from a vape shop. Probably comes off a 5000m drum that cost a penny a foot. 18-32g.

More expensive as in, more expensive than kanthal and nichrome at shops. I was speaking in terms of building wire, it was never about actual steel use.

52 gauge kanthal is a very high gauge of kanthal, 430 is higher in terms of numerical assignment of grade. I wasn't backpedaling. High grades of SS would be 430 or super high like 904, but this isn't speaking to quality, just numerical designation of grade.

All SS wire is expensive in vape vendors hands, 430 is typically sold for the highest because it's best for SS TC. Stop picking apart my statements because it makes yourself feel better, and I thought I was confrontational.

G2 hands down...the Slice only does 100w and has more limits..and it uses older battery tech, it is nicer looking though..
I'm waiting for the G2 with the better form factor that Ben was talking about in the second Busardo video!

The Boreas and Alleria caused a stir at my local B&M vape shop. The guys behind the counter asked all kinds of questions and were blown away by the performance . Since I use SS coils in both, they were taken back when I went from TC mode to power, upped wattage to 135W and took a couple of leisurely puffs producing huge clouds. I had them try both tanks and all I got as a first comment was "WOW, it's not even warm...at 135, wow I like it!"
I will swing by the place in the morning and have a little chat with the owner.

You guys are driving me crazy with all this Hohm Wrecker talk and honestly, for me is more of a short walk to crazyland, not a drive! So if I found a G2 red with silver lettering (limited edition?) for less than $100 from one of the authorized dealers, I should get it?

OK.

I just figured an electrical engineer would appreciate accurate terminology over misleading blanket statements that need several caveats attached. I was going by the generally accepted definition of high grade SS, and the common understanding of "expensive as shit". My bad. I feel terrible now. Carry on.

I was going by the generally accepted definition of high grade SS, and the common understanding of "expensive as shit". My bad. I feel terrible now. Carry on.

I figured most people would pick up high was a numerical designation, it wasn't a blanket statement. Local shops sell 430SS for $1 per foot here, it is expensive as shit when kanthal is going for $2.99 for 20 feet. Numerical grades can carry all sorts of things, like conductivity or even ferrous properties, so even if you want to look at it your way it could've been understood easily. You're the only one who had a problem with it, so I take it my point is correct. Apply a little thing called Occam's Razor to your next over-analytical outburst and maybe you'll see what I'm talking about.

Also, as I have stated numerous times, I'm 100% literal, when I say high referring to something graded by numerical sequences, it's best to assume I'm literally talking about high in numerical volume of grading. You've seen me state this in this very thread, so I don't know why you're so uppity over this.

14 gauge is a very low gauge of kanthal, and it's inexpensive as shit. If I had said that nobody including you would've looked twice. You just took the chance to flex your E-dick and act like a shining bastion of intelligence when in reality you look obnoxious. If I said 430SS is a very high quality steel that would make a blade that could cut through stone like razors to paper, then maybe your analysis would hold water. Too bad, eh?

First off, thank you Roxy for the o-rings, you're awesome!

I've been meaning to post these for a while... The most complicated coil I've built before this is a twisted 29ga, so go easy on me :)

I managed to jam a set of spaced fused claptons (would this be the correct name for my creation, Raymo?) with a 4mm ID into the Boreas last weekend. 7 wraps, 2x 25g k with 36g n80 wrap. Ohmed at .25. Flavor and vapor is a huge step up! Coils are so big I can pull an entire rope of rayon thru them :D

Also, let's just say...... this build had me twisted :D

Oh, and please bookmark the Boreas o ring sizes or save to a document so you'll have that info when needed.

It would be good to have the OP edit forst post and throw oring sizes, wicking and filling tips, seeping airflow ring fixed with spare orings, and whatever is the newest info on the tank in the first post to have a easily accessed reference for new and existing boreas owners. Or mods can give you ownership of post 1 if vapern is ok with it.

There's a lot of great info in this thread if you own a boreas but there's also a shit ton of banter to weed through too :goat:(I don't know why the goat, just hasn't been used much and needed some attention)

I just ordered one in red/silver, I think that one is the limited edition. This is the place I ordered from https://www.vaporworld.biz/new/hohm-wrecker-g2-mod/ As part of their promos, I got a free https://www.vaporworld.biz/kits/joyetech-egrip-oled-vt-kit-white/ . They gave me another link to this friends referal program. If you are going to order from them, plase use this link also.

I know, it's the way of forums. I don't know if it can be edited now. I'll be the one to start any future threads about attys I worked on to make things easier. But, I was happy to see people here were talking about Boreas :)

At least my wicking and filling tutorials are on page 1.

I agree with the loads of banter, but when you separate the wheat from the chaff, you still have a ton of valuable information. Maybe it will be nice to have it all gathered in one page, but then again you'd miss all the funny/obnoxious comments.:goat::goat: BTW, I see your goat and raise you one!:vino:

The two holding the AFC ring in place and the deck o ring all got changed. One fixed it. It wasn't a LEAK per se, it was more-so a perpetual film that would just smear instead of wipe off when I tried to clean it.

Replaced both airflow ring orings and the perpetual seep from around the AFR is gone.:vino:
On a side note, trucker buddy of mine brought some 11.5% Hop'solutely from VA, sooo good!

Me too!
As you probably saw, I ordered the HW G2. It just dawned on me that I use a Mac, so let's see how I'll use their software:wait:
Ive repurposed their software for WIN7/WIN8/XP becuase they didnt have it set up to be streamlined...Im not sure how it would be on a Mac, I dont use Mac's...

Wow, you must really like the hops, a triple IPA is way beyond my threshold on hops. Back in the brewing days, I used to brew belgian ales, more subtile hops, tons of complex flavors (I used honey as additional sugars in some) and about 12% - 16% ABV.

Oh yeah, I have no issue with and add to the banter but the great threads I see will have post 1 as an info dump that's easy to access. Mostly for the new people that have followed the thread and probably already know.

Yeah, and ecf deleted my thread there with all that info. 25 pages worth. Then they deleted the next two threads others started.

Well, looks like I can go back to page 1 to edit. That's awesome! Most forums only allow an edit within 1-2 days. I'll add the o ring sizes to the wicking info so it's all on page 1.

At least it's all in 1 place and on page 1 but the mods should be able to give you post 1... like replace VapeRN (sp?) with you. You can change anything in post 1 and change title to "Official Boreas Thread" or whatever.

A mod would ask her and I'm sure she wouldn't care and then the designer would have post 1 with all the info compiled in the first post people see when they come into the thread.

Or not lol, just a thought

It would be exactly as it is in post 1 until you edit it and keep or erase what you want from it. It wouldn't go to post 2. Post 1 just becomes yours with your avitar as though you were post 1 the whole time.

You could just post above her text and keep hers at the bottom of what you add just for prosperity

Well, let's see....cancel my order for the G2, or start shopping for a laptop! Hmmm, start shopping for a laptop it is! At least I got my priorities straight....don't I ???

You could always run Windows in bootcamp or something like VMware fusion, works great for me. Just an idea, saves buying a complete laptop.

Maybe start an "Official Merlin Thread" and you have post 1. Then you can update progress in post 1 and once it's released the info can compile there.
Or start it closer to release... release is really soon right :bliss:

Leon wants me to wait yet before I start one. We are hoping to go to production late next week.
