I use both Koh Gen Do and cotton balls by a brand called Organyic. Both work great and have NO OFF TASTE if used correctly.

SOme of my atomizers seem to work better with the KGD because of its symmetry, and some of my drippers seem to perform better with the irregularity of cotton balls.

If you ask a loaded question like this, your gonna get LOADs of different opinions either way and then there are the other wick materials.

Rayon, silica, ceramic cord, its endless for endless reasons.

I just started using Native Wicks Platinum (Pima cotton) and it knocks the snot out of Japanese organics for flavor and wicking.

Noobs like me can't help but ask loaded questions :). I guess I'll have to try them out and see what I personally like the best. I just wanted to make sure my bacon organic cotton was worth a shit tbh.

That's what I have. But after looking through some threads I see a lot of mention of Japanese cotton so it made me wonder..
Jap cottons now a days are not the same compared to 3-4 years ago, they clone the hell out of jap cotton too..
Trust me dude, jap cottons are clones now a days!
Cbv2 although not organic, it's atleast formulated for a VAPERS...

First cotton I've ever bought and haven't had to get more yet.. Got lucky I guess but thank you for all the information, I'll stick with what works.

I haven't had any issues with is, and what's the old saying? If it's not broke don't fix it?? Lol.

Probably because it's not true Japanese cotton. I have a bag of the el cheapo stuff I bought off amazon for $6 for 200 pads 2 years ag0, was shipped from Japan. No Break In, any cotton flavor is gone in 2 toots.

I just got some for the first time last week. I had been using cotton bacon V2 which is great but Native Wicks is even better

I got mine as a sample with a Cotton Bacon purchase - definitely a spoiler

Yeah, I came from the old days when there was silica, steel mesh, or carto type fillers.

Then came the silica wars: ekowool, german silica, ceramic fiber ropes, cotton yarn? Cotton yarn was for the real "out theres" the hippies of vapers.

Cotton started revolutionizing things. Suddenly silica was "bad" , cotton good. But that brought on the Cotton wars and it goes on to Rayon.

I think I left out a few other materials; hemp, wool, ceramic solid wicks etc.

It all comes down to what you like. Try a bit of what seems to be more popular with those that vape in similar styles as you do.

I got some Rayon via the big giant beauty supply brand. Then I got some of the Fiber Freaks , I could not tell the difference except in price.
Fiber freaks 5ish for a little tiny bag or 8 for enough rayon to last a lifetime. Again, everyones taste buds are vastly different...

If you can taste a difference and it makes your vaping enjoyable, who cares if you spend on it.

If it makes you happy, Treat yo'self :)
