My SO has been wanting an all in one device for awhile to use at work. We looked into the nebox but were turned off by all the reports of leaking. We stumbled upon the preorder for the eGrip II at Heaven Gifts and thought the option to use the built in tank or any other tanks was nifty (ya, I said "nifty" :p).

My SO wanted green, but they didn't exist (neither does orange, boo) so he settled for red. Since it was a preorder item, I figured it would be best to request that they ship whatever colour was available. When the box arrived, it turned out to be gold but it seems more of a "rose gold" to me as I see a pinkish hue in it.

What's in the box?!
-The mod (of course) with built-in battery.
-2 dripttips: 1 gold and 1 black with "spiral".
-4 "bottom feed" coils: 0.25Ω NotchCoil™, 0.5Ω SS316, 1.5Ω Clapton, and the Vertical RBA.
-Atomizer adapter.
-USB cable.
-Random papers that I never look at.

The Nitty Gritty.
A lot of the selling points of this mod are kind of gimmicky, like the LED light in the tank, the clock, custom logos, and the Flappy Bird game. I will admit that I really enjoy the LED, a quick button press shows me exactly how much juice is in the tank without having to turn a light on, or do the tilt thing. The custom logos are a nice way to personalize the device. I put Deadpool on it for my SO, now he has Batman on the Evic Mini and Deadpool on the eGrip! The clock has actually come in handy when my watch was charging and my phone was in another pocket. I don't foresee using it often but the option is nice.
I've gotten a high score of 5 on Flappy Bird and that's where it will stay, I'd much rather play Tetris. The overall look of the mod is nice and sleek. the buttons are almost hidden the panel with the screen. Despite being barely raised, they're very "clicky". The up and down are a rocker style which means sometimes I push wrong one which can be frustrating. True to Joyetech form, there is a screen protector preinstalled, giving the screen the appearance of being scratched when it's not. I'm leaving it on until it starts to peel though, no matter how satisfying it can be ripping those suckers off.
I decided to go for the NotchCoil™ first (my keyboard has © too!) because it's all the rage lately. Installing the coil and filing the tank is really easy, no worries with droppers because the mouth is so wide to accommodate anything. The NotchCoil™ was nothing special to be honest, I'm assuming the results are much different when used in a dripper but in a prebuilt I didn't notice a difference.
The flavour of the first tank was tasty and enjoyable, I was expecting something along the lines of an ego one with muted flavour and restricted draw but this wasn't the case. It's more along the lines of a Subtank Mini. The spitback wasn't pleasant though, I don't like drinking my juice! I swapped it for the "spiral" driptip and it halted the spitback to nothing at the cost of being warmer but not hot by any means.
I decided that I would vape the tank until i couldn't see juice anymore or got a dryhit. I got to the point of none visible (even with the LED assistance) and took a couple more hits for good measure. No dryhit! When I took the coil out to fill it up again, there was barely a drop left behind, not even enough to pour out. This tank is perfect for changing juice flavours!
I tried the Clapton coil next with some high PG juice. The flavour was double awesome with the mix of PG and Clapton! They take awhile to heat up but once you're chain vaping they produce vapor much quicker. I tried closing off the airflow to do some mouth to lung and it put me right back to the past of ego pens and cigalikes but with better results. I handed it to my sister (she solely mouth-to-lung hits) and she loved the feeling and didn't cough and sputter like she normally does when trying my rigs. I could see newbies doing really well with this setup. I decided after a few tanks to try out the adapter with my Griffin 25. The adapter goes in easily like the coil, I keep it a little loose so I can screw it the rest of the way with the tank and don't accidentally over tighten. The Griffin 25 tank looks top heavy on this mod but it's actually well balanced and almost fits perfectly, just a hair of overhang. I'm able to get a few hours out of the battery on 80w but your milage may vary depending on how often you hit it of course. On lower wattages, I'm able to push almost a day out of it and it uses micro USB to charge, easy peasy to top it off.
The temperature control was a little cumbersome to set up with the SS coil because only the TCR for Nickel is set up by default. Once set up it was smooth sailing. I haven't run into the dreaded "anemic vape" problems that plagued the VTC Mini so either I got lucky or they fixed it. The menus are easy to navigate otherwise, if you own a Joyetech device, it should be very familiar to you. Triple tap to change modes. Hold fire and up to enter LED settings, clock, and game mode. Hold fire and down to turn stealth on and off.
While in stealth you can still get the screen come on to change the wattage if you press the up or down buttons. This is handy because I don't need to see my settings all the time, just when I'm changing them. I like stealth mode on with the LED on, this way I see the pretty colour in the dark easier. :D
If you have the clock set to come on, it will whether or not stealth mode is activated. I thought this was weird and defeats the purpose of stealth! You can have the clock stay on for up to 30 mins, I'm not sure why someone would need it that long, maybe they just wanted to fill space?
The LED is pretty bright, I can see it in bright sunlight and it's pretty bright in a dark room but not enough to fill the room. I tried capturing pictures but they just don't do it justice. The light is more noticeable when the tank is full, which makes sense as there's more particles to bounce off. Yayscience! The RBA seems simple enough to use (I haven't rebuilt it yet), just unscrew the top and pull the cotton wrapped coil out and replace with your own. It's more spacious than the Joyetech CLR coils but not as much as the kanger subtank RBA.
Using the built-in tank makes this a fairly stealthy mod. It's shorter than a kbox mini but a little fatter. With the Griffin 25 on top, it's anything but stealth but it feels very comfortable my hands.

In Conclusion.
This little all in one is done really well, I actually don't want to give it back to my SO! At least it's the long weekend here so I can keep it until he has to work on Tuesday.
