Well i finally was able to make Claptons. The thing is that it came out to. 3 ohms i made these specially for the noisy cricket. I have lghe4's and also have some lghhg2's it took me a long time to do these and a lot of wasted wire. Will it be ok?

8 / .3 is around 27 amps - those batteries wont put out 4 volts for long you will be at 7.5v or less by the time you have worked out the hotspots. Its the same as running .15 on a tube mod, LG HB series batteries are better or Sony VTC3s these batteries can actually put out 30 amps and not drop voltage right away. It will shorten the life of your batteries running them that high amps discharge when these batts are not designed for it. Will it be OK, probably yes - is it recommended, no. You could pull a coil out and run single .6Ω thats only 13 odd amps 100 watts and well in battery specifications.

You're welcome, I think they usually shoot for between .4Ω and .5Ω on the cricket, it's a balance between high power but getting the most from the battery without stressing it too hard.

Get better cells for series mechs.

And use Ohm's law! Consider how many watts you want to run. You might end up scorching your vape and killing all flavor if you go too high in wattage.

put clapton on the Cricket yesterday, ran 32ga SSL x2 + 32ga Kanthal x2 twisted into chain wire and wrapped in 38g NiChrome round, these are duals coming out to 1 ohm on the nose with 14 wraps at 3.5 mm ID. This is only my third build on my recently acquired cricket and being my first and only mech of any kind I have alot of experimenting to do. My first was twisted 28ga SS316L coming out to .46 and was the best vape I've ever had the pleasure to inhale, my second I was going for simple and just ran a dual 24ga Kanth 3mm coming out to .7 and lastly these Clapton's since I figured they would have a fast ramp up and be more enjoyable than heavy wire builds on my regs, I was wrong. Ramp was too slow and even after good pre-heat hits, it was weak, my ohms were way too high for my liking, but I felt it needed explored. I am going to try to make another build of chain wire, but two chains fused and wrapped looser and spaced, hopefully get my ohm's in the .5-6 and have a quick ramp. Not sure if I'll find anything that's going to beat my first build, that .45 with simple twisted wire was a life changing vape, I honestly never thought that the cricket would be that dramatic of a better vape, and running the numbers of a .4 on VTC4's I am Uber surprised that 150+ watts was enjoyable, flavorful and not once burned my cotton which I didn't change for 3+ days. LOVE the cricket and has sold me on mechs altogether, not sure if I will be going bake to reg's outside of physically demanding days where I may want a large tank.

he's the heavy Clapton's that are just too much for the immediate forceful vaper that makes the cricket as epic as it is, but if you do the math, the 1.1 ohm bad boys are only running 65w(and even that's generous since no mech system is going to take advantage of every single available volt to the atty), and even though I could just take some wraps off, alot actually, since they look like crap i'ma start over with a better plan

these provided the tastiest vape so far, open to suggestions on tonight's build, something in that sweet .45-ish up to .6. But thinking some loose wrapped chain x fused could be a winner. These are
twisted stainless, like 19 wraps each I believe

also, I bought Sony's and LG HE6's just for the cricket, today they were getting charged so I threw in some 25Rs and it could possibly be in my head, but they seemed to give me a smoother faster ramp...... Am I crazy? I'd also like to mention that I was pretty concerned about batteries and the safety side of this device, but I have yet to have any batteries even get the slightest bit of warm no matter what build i had on it, nice life too, no more worries.

I just installed my first single fused 316L Clapton in my Petri. It's 32g over 26g, 2.5mm ID, .61 ohms. I plan to run it on my NC, but I have it on the Tuglyfe V2 right now. What a huge difference between these and a normal Clapton! Albeit mine is shitty looking, it vapes very smooth and flavorful.

You can also run dual fused Claptons on the cricket if you use higher gauges I've been running a 2x28gk/36gk 10 wraps 3.5mm and I believe it came out between .5-.6 ohm's.its a very good Vape.
