You can get new tanks for the top of Evod, mini-protanks work well on these. The mini protank 3's also allow you to use the sub-ohm coils they now have for the Kanger Protank III's.

Max.
Where do you find these? I rebuild my coils and have enough of the atomizers to start my own juice bar, and approximately 20 bases. But over time I am losing the tanks due to cracking, which usually results from dropping them and not juice type. So any info you could offer for a source for the tanks would be appreciated. Replacement bases/O-rings would be appreciated as well. Hate to pay 4-8 bucks for a new EVOD when all I need is the tank.

TBH if you could find the tanks alone they would prolly cost damn near as much as a whole new one. Most of the money is in the tank.

Not sure where you can find just the tank portion. I'll ask around and see anyone knows.

Yes you can use the subohm heads but they will not register on the ego style batteries. Most won't register anything lower than 1 ohm.

I was able to find some tanks recently at AltSmoke. They were on sale with a coupon so I got them considerably cheaper than buying a complete Evod. They had bases as well.

Took the reply right out of my mouth. Since you're into rebuilding coils, just make sure everything stays safe. Like Bahas said, you need to make sure you stay at a safe ohm level when working with smaller batteries. Not implying you didn't already know that, but it's good for the information to be all over the new users forum. :)

And you took the reply right out of my mouth! I'm happy to see people using safe practices with the new Kanger coils. I know that has been a source of anxiety for some folks.

Well, I just assume no one wants to damage their battery, or endanger themselves. Luckily, most of the eGo-style batteries have protection built-in to prevent firing outside of the acceptable ohm range. If not, please exercise extreme caution in rebuilding coils! Have a voltmeter, and know how to use it!

Hey John,
I got into vaping with the EVOD system, I had 2 1000 mah batteries, 2 EVOD tanks, and 2 Kanger T3s tanks. They were great for a while, then I found that honestly.. the flavor was lacking, and although I was getting my nicotine fix, the rest of it just wasnt making it.
I got into vaping as a smoking cessation thing, I was a die hard 50yr, 2+ pack a day guy that coughed and hacked my lungs up, I felt miserable and I had failed miserably at countless attemps to quit. I bought my first EVOD kit($40.00) a 15 ml bottle of Mango Blast($9.75) and put it all together.. this is totally honest, the first puff of that Mango thru that EVOD, was the END of me and cigarettes. that, was 91 days ago. I'm totally done with cigarettes.
Recently I got like you, wanting more than the EVOD was able to give.

There is a whole world of equipment out there to use, read the forums, watch "youtube", Rip Tripper is a hoot, and hes a pretty good teacher as far as equipment and the whole DIY thing. One thing I will say up front.. at first glance, things can get really expensive. People like Rip are given (and support the use of) high end gear. I'm not able, or willing to spend $165.00 on a brass tube that holds a battery. There are places like Fast Tech where you can buy clone gear at much better prices. I suggest you look there, rather than your local cigarette store, or a vape store.
E juice.. is yet another thing that really slayed me. $10.. for 15ml of e juice? Are you KIDDING?? I learned to make my own.

The 4th was another kind of "Independence Day" for me, I built my own coil, for my Kayfun, then filled it with Blueberry e juice that I made, and sat down to a much cheaper, and much more satisfying vape as I watched my grandkids pop firecrackers. lol

Of course this will mean you making your own coils.. and ejuice... trust me, its not that hard. It does get a bit technical, but if you're up to that, I highly recommend it.

The move to better equipment was amazing, the taste is so much better, and much more satisfying. If this sounds like something you'd like, let me know, I would be glad to be of help.
God Bless,

can i use sub ohm on this ?
The short and sweet answer is no. The MVP 2.0 is a regulated device with a specific range that the ohms must be. The effective range it can run is 1.2-2.5 ohms. You could run it at 1.0 but you wouldn't be getting the best usage of the device. Hope that helps some.

You can always rebuild your own evod coils. I mostly use drippers and kayfuns, but I am able to rebuild an evod using cotton and the flavor is nearly as good. Have you rebuilt coils before? It takes some time to figure out what works for you, but once you find what you like, it's really great!

Galaxyrider I agree with you. I also see a lot of people go back to smoking or never giving it up 100% if they stay with the cheaper mods, like the low level spinners. I use my spinners and vv3 at work all the time, but when I come home, I use the higher power more expensive stuff. I honestly think if I didn't upgrade to better mods and tanks, I would not have been successful at quitting. But it may be because I go to the message boards for support, which a lot of my coworkers who didn't succeed, did not. It makes a big difference. The one thing I am finding out, is making your own ejuice is so much cheaper and I actually find myself reaching for the stuff I made rather than the stuff I bought and I am only a beginner DIYer. If I can do it, anybody can. So take the money you save making your ejuice and find a really good setup that suits you. You won't regret it. I still love my evods and I recoil them to save money and also recoil my coworkers so she will save money. She hasn't succeeded in quitting all the way, but she's getting there. Now if I can just convince her to come to the forum, I think she will succeed for sure. Vape with whatever gives you satisfaction, but when you start to feel like it isn't doing the job, don't be afraid to experiment with new stuff.

GmaVapor that is excellent advise and I could not agree with you more. I've told lots of people that in order to be successful in Vaping, once you have the mindset that you really do want to finally quit smoking, that it requires two things .. 1) You have to find the equipment that works for you. 2) You have to find the juice that you like enough to Vape all day. If you are lucky enough to find these 2 things I believe you have just increased your odds of quitting significantly. Great Post !

Amen brother, when I was in my EVOD stage, I was shelling out $10 for 15 ml... Now I can make about 300 ml (0%nic) for about $12. I have moved to a regulated mod and a Kayfun Lite. Last night, I ordered a Sentinal M-16 and a dripper, 100' of 28ga Kanthal and 4 Panasonic batteries. Other than my hardware vaping is almost free next to smoking. Thats a real no brainer! Good Luck, if you have any questions.. Im here.

:) I'll never use tobacco EVER again.
