Interesting coil jig

I bent some 10 awg copper mag wire (about 2.6mm diameter), added some heat shrink tubing and some rubber sandwiched in to hold the coil wire softly under my thumb. Nice and rigid and simple. I have a few other versions.
(That's solder just for illustration, not kanthal,)

Looks to be about as effective as a Coil Master (which I always use) and a Hell of a lot cheaper if one already has the parts. I like Homemade solutions.

I got a Kurd Concepts (CW-25) cheap recently but I have not tried it yet.
I just wanted to create something to try.
