Very Alarming News Dr. Farsalinos found that diacetyl was in 74% of the e-liquids that were tested.

Welcome to VU youssef.
My local vape store is more focussed on e-liquids than anything else, This would be their "own" e-liquids. They have a whole wall with shelf upon shelf of their stuff but ask them what they make it from and you get a blank stare and vague answers.
I am very glad that this forum is providing this kind of information and I hope it will continue. From this point on, My E-juice purchases will only be from suppliers who can provide proof of testing.

I have to add right now, I am trying out the Custard line right now that I got from @Schell , and the first one (Rebellion, a custard and tobacco flavor) is amazing! They are D and A free and they have tests to back it up.

I found that vanillas in general will turn black over time, so you are probably right. How did I miss the sample offer? Is is still open? I would absolutely love to try her custard! :)

If these kinds of studies are done, Whoopee. They only do any good if the companies that test positive are outed. Diacetyl is YUMMY. It is the crack of the vaping world. Slimy capitalists will never give it up cause it SELLS juice. This Doctor and any other Doctor that runs tests like this, If they are truly on OUR side then they won't continue this type of "FEARMONGERING" that happens when you tell a large group of people that there is "something" bad out there, but then not tell them where. Only consumer pressure with force these companies to change their ingredients, and hurt their bottom line. And the companies that "SWEAR"" their eliquid is Diacetyl free and ISN'T should be prosecuted. Come on realy people, ANY experienced vaper can crack the seal on a bottle that contains just a few % DA AP and know immediately. And yet companies like 5 Pawns "SWEAR" that none of their juice contains it. Gimme a Break, I love Gambit, but it sure as he!! contains DA.

If these scientists are on our side they need to quit Protecting the unscrupulous vendors and manufacturers.

BTW, It is nice to meet you all, This is my first post :)
Do you think the feds are going to be fear mongering when regulations hit..There is absolutely no reason to use diketones / diacetyl in eliquids..Just more ammo for the FDA.

Sadly I fear the eliquid vendors either don't care it's in there (they have the "cigarettes are still way worse" attitude) or they are too much of a bunch of cheap asses to test their own product.

I totally understand if you are an eliquid mixer still mixing in your parent's basement (you would be surprised at some of the highly recommended vendors who are still at this stage) you call your parents basement sink and counter your "lab" and you call yourself a "mixologist" and you just can not afford to kick out the money for testing because a real clean room and proper equipment is first on your list of things to spend money on.

These small vendors should just disclose that ALL of their eliquids may contain Diacetyl and/or AP.
If you are admitting your whole line may contain it then no one can be pissed off if someone tests it and finds the stuff.

I often wonder why these very, very talented eliquid mixers do not become partners with a vendor in the area who has all of the best equipment possible.
Like I take 70% and give you 30% of profit for allowing me full 24/7 access to your lab kind of deal.
This would work if people would just come together with their competition and make them their partners.
