I am interested in purchasing this kit- does anyone here use that, it comes with the Sigelei X tank and was wondering if there are any compatible coils? These Sigelei coils look hard to find, and the only ones I seem to be able to locate are the Ni 200, I have never used temp control to vape.
Will the Aspire Atlantis or Triton coils work with this tank?
I would hate to purchase this set up and not be able to purchase coils for it down the road!

Hello @SnapDragon NY

I own 3 Sigelei Books. I'm a big fan. The XTank will take Atlantis coils, I have one in mine right now.

Thanks for your reply Countrypami- at least the atlantis coils are much easier to find! I am glad you like your Sigelei Mini Books enough to buy 3 of them! Finally my istick 20 from a year and a half is fading away and with the FDA regs, looking to purchase the Sigelei and the eLeaf PICO! I like the smaller mods and have 2 eGrip OLED and 3 months ago purchased the Kanger Dripbox 60 w, I really like it! The Sigelei looks to be the same size as my Dripbox!

My Pico is smaller and has more features, but I swear the Mini Book has a smoother VW hit and less battery drain. Of course, it only does 40W max and only does Kanthal and Ni200 (no Ti or SS, no TCR configuration). I'm currently alternating the two...can't decide.

I got this kit - great deal and it arrived in 3-4 days for me (Mississippi). It was a few dollars cheaper a couple of weeks ago.
http://121vapes.com/shop/sigelei-mi...?color=black&gclid=CMOvu_D3ts0CFYsAaQod1FoKkQ

The tank uses the standard Aspire/Triton/Playboy/Melo type coils, so plenty of options.

Hi Zipslack- thank you for your response! I will be ordering both the PICO and the Sigelei tomorrow. I wanted to make sure on the coils for the X tank because most seem to be sold out and I thought I read that they will be able to use the Aspire Atlantis and the Triton coils. Thanks for the heads up on the Melo coils too! I am also ordering a Triton RTA kit for a rebuildable coil and hope that works in the X tank too! I really don't mind that it is only 40 watts, but have never tried temp control, so hoping I like the Ni200 coils.

I actually like the X Tank slightly better than the Melo tank that came with the Pico. It's bigger, but it seems that the airflow control works better at the "tight" end of the spectrum. One big con is that you can't use regular driptips on the X Tank.

Oh yeah, the included "35A" battery is a re-wrap...typically a 20A 2500mAh. I think Mooch found one that was a re-wrapped VTC4 and another that was a different brand with similar specs. With this mod's limits, it's not a big deal.

Haha that is where I just bought mine! I got the white- I almost ordered it yesterday and they would charge tax, today no tax?
Such a great deal, I couldn't let it pass by!
Now I have the Egrip OLED in white- Kanger Dripbox in white- I ordered the PICO in white- and now the Sigelei Mini Book in white and at $21.99 great price!
I ordered the coils thru Vape Super Saver http://www.vapesupersaver.com/triton-4-ohm-coils-only-8-99-close-out-genuine-authentic-aspire/
Also the Samsung 18650 25R from there too! http://www.vapesupersaver.com/samsung-inr-18650-25r-battery-3-99-close-out/
I have placed many orders with Vape super Saver and Tom is great! He is closing up shop in August so he is having a deep clearance sale, might want to check him out. Orders of $20.00 or more ships for free!
I ordered these coils too are they OK with the X tank I ordered the .5 ohm , if they are not right I can get Tom to change my order to more of the Triton Ni200 http://www.vapesupersaver.com/aspire-atlantis-v2-cotton-coils/
Not sure if I am able to post links- didn't want to get kick out of here my 2nd day!

I ordered the PICO without the tank- I am going to use the gsair 2 tank http://www.rockymountainvapor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_114&products_id=471
I have samsung 18650 batteries also! I saw the drip tip on you tube and I think I will be ok with the X tank drip tip.

Would it make you mad to know it was like 16.95 when I ordered? :D
Maybe a little mad- haha- but still $21.99 a good price! Watch them have a coupon for the 4th! Cannot believe they are not all sold out at that price $16.95 was a steal! If they have it for $16.95 for the 4th maybe I'd order another(back ups)

What I am a little nervous about is that they have a no returns policy, final sale on these- what if is DOA? I am hoping all is OK as you said you have had yours for a bit! I have never ordered from here before, but they had really good reviews so if something is wrong I am sure they will make it right?
What color did you get? The Black? I actually like the red but wished the tank matched in red too.
I have never had a problem with any device except for the iStick Basic, hubby's worked great and no matter how I tightened and fiddled around with mine the battery after 1 month just kept flashing and not working right, I was bummed and tried to make do with it, but was so frustrated that it is in the cabinet. I purchased 2 egrips OLED instead, I am happy with them so far. I purchased the CS base so I could use my gsair coils and so far no problems after about a month. I also purchased a couple of the RBA bases and man those can leak, straight from the factory, set it down and a puddle of eliquid will be there. I tried re wicking and still the same. I went to you tube and they show some sandpaper trick, haven't tried that yet.
Hard to believe that my original iStick 20 has been working like a champ for over a year! It has just started the no atomizer, so I have to pull up on the center pin, not sure how long internal battery devices last? That is why I am investing in some external battery devices and rebuildable coils!

I got the stainless because they didn't have black or blue. I've had no issues other than button rattle. If it was DOA, I would expect that would be covered, but I don't know.

If you are interested in TC, I would avoid the nickel and go straight for stainless steel. The mini book won't do TC with SS but the pico will.

I must be odd, because I actually prefer Ni to Ti. I haven't tried SS yet. I still prefer straight Kanthal.

Nothing odd about that. I just think for first time TC'ing, SS is more user friendly since it can be used in both power and TC. Also, I find that with the exception of a few, pre-made nickel coils tend to be a bit underwhelming. I don't have a ton of experience with Ti but I did enjoy it.

Thanks for the info, the Xtank comes with 1- .4 Ni200 coil and 1- .5 kanthal. I have never used a Ni coil before so hoping it is OK. I purchased Aspire Atlantis coils in the .5 and the 1.0 kanthal. I also ordered 1 pack of the Aspire Triton in the Ni .4 Since the mini book is only 40 watts the 1.0 coils might be better. I have never vaped with sub ohm tank before but thought I'd give it a shot.Hoping these Atlantis coils fit with the Xtank as I ordered some and have to wait and see till my gear comes next week. These Aspire Atlantis coils are cheaper and easier to find than the Sigelei coils. I just hope Aspire coils fit.
Reviews are saying they work, otherwise I would have to get an Atlantis tank?
Everything has been ordered and shipped and should have everything here by Tues. or Weds. next week.

:vapemail:Just got my Sigelei Book kit and my eLeaf Pico today, both in white, a little bummed as the site I bought the book from shows it with the white tank- mine is silver, guess it will have to be OK, the price was so great on this! The Aspire Atlantis coils fit perfectly, yahoo! I also bought an Aspire Triton RBA coil kit and hopefully can master coils and wicking! I have a white Kanger Dripbox and so far I have been able to keep that going with my coils and wicks.
Trying to make sure I can keep vaping for a long time- Haven't tried them out yet, but I am sure they will be great!
Thanks to everyone that responded to me about the Aspire coils working with the Sigelei X tank!

I got my 2nd miniBook today, but have never used it for TC, and never will. No clue on the tank/coil thing, but Sigelei makes great mods; after a full month of regular constant use of my first one, in red, there's not a single scratch or ding on it, which is why I ordered a 2nd one, in black. and no, I don't use the silicone sleeve, I really hate how those feel. I'm just pleased that the enamel is so much hardier than that on the iPV Minis, which were scratched and dinged WITHIN a month.

Andria- what tank do you use with the Book? I ordered the kit and mine comes with the X tank, which by the picture should have been the same color as the book, I ordered a White kit, and my Xtank is silver. I just sent a quick note to the vendor about that. For $21.99 and free shipping, I don't want to be picky, but gee!

My stainless/silver has some mild scratches. Mine, of course, came with the stainless tank. I'm using a stainless Kayfun Mini v3 clone on it. I've got the Ni200 coil in the X Tank for those rare times that I want to mess with TC and DL vaping.

No tank at all. I use Achilles RDAs pretty much exclusively, though now and then I may use a Magma RDA.

If you like tanks, I recommend not trying an RDA... the flavor is so much more intense, it will spoil you for tanks completely -- I have 4 Kayfuns, which I used to LOVE... and now I can't taste anything from them.

Andria
Yes I mainly use tanks. I have been stock piling coils for months! I do use the Kanger Dripbox 60w, took me a while to get used to lung hits, but I really like that too- Ooops that would be an RDA right? So I have one that I use! Always forget about the dripbox, I don't really use it that much, drinks up way to much juice!

Actually I think that's a squonker. But just because something is an RDA, doesn't automatically mean it has be huffed -- I'm STRICTLY a low-wattage (10w) tight-draw tootle-puffer, and no, I'll never change; I see no need to huff my vape, when it's smoking I'm trying to avoid, not huffing. ;) And I also feel no need to create weather.

I think that is why I prefer my tanks to the dripbox. I do like to"huff" occasionally, I really like to vape MTL more. I was a 30+ year smoker, loved to smoke, but I knew it was not good for me and had tried to quit so many ways and with vaping I was able to kick my cig habit to the curb. I really like many of the candy flavors and have been vaping at 3nic and I think I could vape at 0nic. Right now I seem to be hooked on the flavors, like hard candy without the calories! Tomorrow I will check out my latest purchases and will let you know what I think

I am loving my new Sigelei Mini Book kit and the Aspire Atlantis coils are wonderful! This kit may not be for the MTLers out there, but could use another tank for that. I do like the vape on the Sigelei Xtank, very smooth lung hit. So glad I purchased this on a whim! For the price this is a great set! Thinking about ordering another in the black or silver(back up)! I stocked up on so many Atlantis coils that I will be vaping on this for years to come!

That really is a stunning price -- I got both of mine without any attys; Vapor Beast had them on sale for 19.95, then ran out of stock, so I got my 2nd one from Sweet-Vapes for $25.95. For a good mod that I really like, I'm willing to go up to $40-$45, so anything under $30 is a steal! :D

Agreed. I don't care for the silicone sleeves either. I got a couple of 'em for my Reuleaux RX200s, but. . . I haven't had my miniBook for very long, but I've already dropped it and banged it around, and not a scratch one in the enamel color. :)

Yeah I just stashed mine in the drawer. If I know I'm going to be in an environment where the mod might get abused, then I might use it, but otherwise, nah, I hate that greasy feel. Especially on the red one; that deep red shiny enamel is so gorgeous, why would I wanna hide it?!?

Agree completely. Why hide an attractive mod? And they've almost got a creepy feeling to them. :( I already have a blue one, but since that might end up in the PIF box (haven't decided yet), I just ordered a second blue one *laf* Sure, they're only 50watt, have a short run time since they only take one battery, and don't have TC, but they're easy toss in the pocket for on the go and they're cute :)

Actually they're 40w, and do have TC, but only "know" about Ni wire. I suppose you could try the other types, but since the mod doesn't have any specs for them, it might be chancy. I don't have a bit of use for TC personally.

Thanks for the corrections. I didn't have my red one handy (blue one is still sealed in package) and (obviously) mis-remembered. I'll blame it on having too many mods :D

Oh boy I am bad- I just ordered another Mini Book in the Stainless- The price of these are unbelievable ! I also ordered the http://121vapes.com/shop/sigelei-75w-vr-oni-edition-tc/?attribute_pa_color=aqua
I figured I could use the same X Tank! I told 121 Vapes that I was a little bummed about the white not having a white tank, but they said I could send it back, but no way I would send back, silver is fine for this price, I was not sending back. They said that they had no idea that the color tank was actually silver as the boxes are sealed! What was I the only one to complain?
I am using the Aspire Atlantis coils in the X tank, working great! I bought 10 packs of coils for my stock! Hopefully they will last a few or more years, since I vape on other devices too !

Do you have any advice for how to get the batteries in without having to resort to brute force and nicking the wrapper?

I use flat tops and don't have any issues with getting them in or out. I guess the only thing I can say is make sure you are using the ribbon.

Yeah, I use the ribbon, so I can get them back OUT; it's getting them IN that's driving me completely insane. I use flat-tops too; either 25Rs or HE2s. And the only way to get them in is to brute force it. I've tried and tried and tried and tried to get them to go in straight, and they just WON'T.

I use flat-tops (even the re-wrap "Sigelei"). I put the + end first, just slightly, and then straighten it and push. It seems to be easier if you remove the atty first. The main thing seems to be getting the metal center of the + end slightly under the spring contact before you try to get the - side going. Forget about button-tops...don't see it happening.

Hmm, I'll try it without the atty attached, though if I have to remove the atty everytime I change the battery... that could get destructive to threads. Anyone know f the 510 threads on this Sigelei are stainless? I know they are on Sig Zmax's, one of the many pros of this mod, but I've heard that some of their mods use softer metal for the 510 threads, which is why I haven't gotten any of the later ones till the MiniBooks.

Thx!
