Coffee is grand. I am here to say good night to your good morning @DogMan.

I think mom took a bunch of my back pain with her when she left. She was always looking out for me! I am enjoying the respite while I have it. I haven't taken anything by ibuprofen for pain today. This is a huge improvement.

I hope my words don't fail me.

Stress and uncertainties compound aches and pains. I think fibro in particular. Maybe the sense of... Closure? ... Knowing mumma dragon is at peace released tensions?

I'm glad you're less hurtie

You are absolutely correct, Mr Man. I will add an observation of my own to that. When one is in the middle of the stress and uncertainty, it is very easy to forget that bit of wisdom. Much like the saying "When you are ass deep in alligators, it is difficult to remember that your prime objective is to drain the swamp."

Not to mention that those sorts of things are true for normal beings, not Dragons! While I admit I am not invincible (at least not anymore, I think there was a time I was convinced otherwise) I sometimes act as though I am. When mom took her last breath, I began to cry. Sister looked at me as though I had two heads. Later she said that she was surprised because I had been so "solid" all through this. I knew I would fall apart when she breathed her last breath. I knew I would stay in control as long as there was a chance I was needed to help mom along the way. I guess I gave myself permission to express the emotions when she was gone.

Sorry. I know you are friends and you care. I also know reading this stuff can get old really fast. I may be pushing 62 but I am still learning stuffs about life and me. I am just rambling a bit about the Loves and Losses of Dragons in 21st Century Society. It should be out in hard-copy soon. Check your neighborhood book seller. Author: Glow E. Plug, AKA Furry Mama.

Please don't think I'm weird in saying this.........but, sometimes I think God works in weird ways. Perhaps your back wasn't cooperating so that you would be home for your mom during her last little bit of time. I know that may be reaching, but I have seen so many instances of loved ones holding on for people to be present or words to be said.......and I just think your mom was happy to take that pain because you were where you were supposed to be. <3

Nothing weird about that at all, at least to my way of thinking.
