Heck for a few minutes, I ran it with the outer air slots over the big gap instead of where they should go - still blows on the Z-coil, but that seemed kind of lame - losing the tightly "aimed" air.

And hell, on a NarDa clone, I took a needle file to the outer holes, tried to give them a little taper. That might work, but my file is shit. And I really don't want to do that to my Legit NarDa - ezpecially as that one's the cool media-blast finish. I might pick up a better file and try that on the clone again. I wouldn't mind actually opening the air a tiny bit anyway...

that was my thought also ...use a set of jewelers files to, blend the edges on both the base and the top cap...kinda like the m atty, but, less severe

I was talking to my dad today and we were looking at the Geyscano atty. We were thinking of taking a drill bit or something and opening up a second air flow hole o.k. the other side for a dual coil build. Thoughts and concerns on this?

Yes the Narda does whistle, and no I don't mind. It still gives me one heckuva vape. Besides I can use it to whistle at the ladies while acting innocent

I just have ChiNardas, but they also whistle. Placing the airhole slightly offcenter to the base hole quiets it down. Grab and twist the cap while drawing a hit and you can find a happy spot of enough air and minimal whistle. I tried chamfering the outer edge of the cap holes with little effect.

How come you don't start DIY?

You can get in on the cheap without buying gallons of nic and tons of this and that

The savings are incredible and once you find your recipes commercial juice is usually disappointing

You can get 125 mls of 24mg nic at MFS for only $7.99

pg and vg are even cheaper. You can start there and work your way up to larger sizes in bigger concentrates with the savings

Could even get radical and begin vaping unflavored nic base, just to get the savings-train rolling. Then all the stops get pulled out. I'm amazed what people pay for "premium" juices at B&Ms, after DIYing for a year now

1000 at 3 mg.

There are tons of seller and prices are all over the place.

I just always check myfreedomsmokes first because they are *usually* the least expensive.

You don't have to use elaborate or fancy "things" to get started like syringes, scales, and expensive measuring beakers.

There are even methods were you make the recipe using drops so you could technically get away with buying only nic, pg and vg

Also mixing by weight is the cheapest route and easy to do. Can find a scale at Amazon.com for like $14. Just make sure it measured down to .01 grams. Been mixing like that for about 5 months now @John Starz

Drops method or syringes is cheapest if you have to buy a scale

Mixing by weight is the most consistent. Drop size can vary between droppers.

Remember: PG is 1.036 g/mL, VG is 1.261 g/mL, and flavors are pretty much 1 g/mL

Not saying it isn't a great method - just pointing out it's not the least expensive way to begin if you are truly needing to begin using the absolute cheapest method.

Tom (Catfish Atty Mods) is running a list for the M Atty clone on ECF (don't know if he's running it on his FB page). IMHO this is one of the best atties out there. Good airflow, easy to build and wonderful flavor. For less than $50, this is a very good deal.

NB: The M atty is nicknamed the Hype.

I actually set it aside, playing with Nardas and Nuppins and a Pancake, but all this talk about 'em, I popped it back on. And it's good!!

I got a JMK tip for it. Kinda pricey, but I really wanted it - slightly different bore, and it fits snugger in the top than the stock tip - which is kinda loose. Loose in a good way if you're popping it off to drip - but I don't drip, I squonk.

(also, the mod in this photo is fer sale....just sayin')

Yeah - it's a MyMod.
The only issues, I noted clearly when I posted "over there" -

I think it needs a better insulator - though most folks are fine, a few got shorts - dead short at the 510, from tightening on an atty. The fuse pops just as it should though. And the battery is held OK, but not tight - could use a spring. I just set the negative screw so that the battery's got no rattle room...

Other than that - the fire button and finish and squonk tube/pin - all awesome...
