E-Liquid Calculator On Linux?

I have joined the growing masses saying "No to Windows 10" and switching to a linux distro. I went with Linux-Mint Cinnamon edition 17.3. All seems well until I wanted to make HIC's easy Orange Cream recipe. Oopsy, ejuice me up only works on linux with WINE installed.
I would rather not install WINE just for one program at this time. I did use a U.K. based web calculator which was fine for a quickie recipe, but I would like something closer to ejuice me up.

Anyone use an e-liquid calculator that works well on linux?
I am dual-booting with Windows 7 as my favorite video game does not play well on linux, so I could switch over to use ejuice me up and all the many recipes I have saved within the program. It would be great if I could import all the recipes over to a new program.

Thanks for any help and cheers.

E Juice Me Up works great on Linux. You have to also install the .net 3.5 framework to get it to work.

One Linux Mint, just hit the windows button or the menu in the upper right and start typing synaptic to go to the Synaptic package manager. Type WINE, the package manger will find it. Click on it to install. (You can also use the regular software sources if Synaptic isn't installed in your Mint Distro but I would install it through software sources if it is not installed...)

Download both Ejuice me up and the .net 3.5 installer from Microsoft. Just double click on them to install...Mint will recognize the Windows extensions and use Wine to install them.

Don't worry about installing programs on Linux Mint...it it is not like Windows where programs leave a bunch of clutter and remnants. To uninstall, just go back into Synaptic, type WINE and choose the complete uninstall function. This will completely uninstall it with nothing left behind. Linux is much cleaner than Windows in this regard. Wine will use less than 10mb of disk space to install and will only use system resources when you run a program that depends on it. No foul whatsoever to your Mint system.

If you wan't a bit fancier/easier way to run programs with Wine, look into a program called Crossover Pro. (You can easily get Microsoft Office to run in Linux with Crossover along with hundreds of other Windows programs.)

If you have any questions, just PM me or post here. I have been Linux fanatic for about 10 years using Mint for the past 3.

I am looking to try running a pure linux OS this time around. I did try OpenSUSE between XP-64 and before Windows 7 as it was the only linux distro that would work with my sound card. I still have the same M-Audio sound card and had to install ICE1712 to make it work, but this time I am willing to put more effort into my quest as the Windows 10 EULA scares me more then anything.
I had WINE installed until last week. I wasn't using it for anything. It might be worth it to reinstall it to run ejuice me up and get over the idea of running only linux programs on Mint. I will have to ponder this a while.

Download both Ejuice me up and the .net 3.5 installer from Microsoft
Thanks for the .net part.

There are any number of online calculators as well. All you need is the browser of your choice.

I don't remember doing anything special running wine 1.9.14-1. I probably had to let it download the gecko rendering engine when prompted.

I did use one based in the UK. It worked out fine for the recipe I was following. I will just switch to the Windows 7 side if I really need to look up one of my old recipes.
Lately I have been mixing without a calculator as I'm mixing on the fly. Of course I'll be bummed out if I come up with something great and don't remember what or how much I used.

I like using an online version, due to being able to access/adding my recipes on any internet enabled computer. No worries about backups either.

Good point.
Vaping Underground is my back up for my more complex recipes. I just need to zip to the last page and work my way forward to fine them. I can't remember all the clever names I used.

I tend to use this one. Any number of calculators depending on the type of mix, and you can save them if you like.

How did you set it up. I get errors with this one,b it E Juice Me Up runs fine as long as I install the .dot framework.
Thx
I prefer e-liquid-recipes.com com....Just starting out but it has everything I want and can be used on any device.

For this one: http://diyjuicecalculator.com/, all you need to do is install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher. (E juice me up runs fine with the 3.5 framework.)
It should install and run fine after getting 4.0 or higher. Just tried it:

Is this in the settings for wine or something? I've always tried to get this program to work, and always have errors. Been searching the Internet for how to get this to work.

Hey tooler82,

Basically what you need to do is unistall the juice calculator in WINE.

Then download this:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=25150

This is the FULL installer for the .net 3.5 framework. Most of the ones that come up easily with a google searcher are offline installers which rely on an internet connection to do the install which will not work with WINE.

Run the full installer with WINE and it will install the .net 3.5 framework. Then re-install Juice Calculator and it should word for you. I didn't have to do any tricks to get it to work for me.

Thanks buddy. I will try that. I had like one of the parallels but it took up too much room on my little SSD in my MAC

Tooler, also google "winetricks". For example on a Debian variant:

$ sudo apt-get install winetricks
$ winetricks dotnet40

A user here messaged me and walked me through it. Install dotnet40 and allfonts and it works. Spent 6 hours last night adding my inventory.
