"Nah, that only affected that guy."
Actually Huck, I got snagged in that one too....lost a few hundred posts there:cuss2: But that's water under the bridge, let's go forward from here.
You might like the K5 mini FT fantasy tank, it has the K5 build deck but it is shorter than the regular K5.

The first batch shipped out earlier than they had first listed. I just got an email saying mine shipped this morning.

No kidding. I did a double take when I saw the email. Thought I might have ordered something else and forgot about it.

I am happy to confirm the FT kayfun mini v3 (v1.5) does fit very nicely one the Pico mod. Fused clapton at 20.5 with is very nice, flavorful vape. Off to order a couple more.
The Calyx v2 arrived today also, machining not quite as nice as the Kv3mini v1.5, not sure sure if I like the jc on this one.

Flavor for me on calix v2 is better than kfmv3. I love the kfmv3 but flavor on calix is a dream, super smooth...After lubing orings and threads on chimney JFC works like a charm.

@ToolmanTexas, what build do you have in your Calyx? For me, the K3 is better, at least for now. The Gem v2 is still tops but not the one I'm taking with me when I'm working in the yard.

Same as my kfm3.. 26 gauge kanthal, 2.5 mm coming in around 1.1 - 1.2
So far only compared eight bells 6mg 50/50 but miss Samoa will be next at 6 mg max VG.

Have a phenomenon lite coming in this week to add to the try it out list.

I finally got a few minutes and I made a 1.2 mm airflow restrictor for the Merlin. I can actually enjoy this now.
I hope you're getting better flavor and the airflow you prefer from it. I stopped getting alerts to this thread and saw it in the timeline. :cuss2:

The airflow is the way I like, the flavor is pretty good but needs a little more about work.

The link for the Kv3mini plus v1.5 is in post #563 of this thread
Thanks. Which has better flavor, the orginal mini, the mini plus or the mini plus 1.5? All have the same deck and chimney just wider body for more capacity?

Got the Melo 3 working again with zero leaks.Thinking it was just time to change coil-heads.I figure 7X4=28 so that seems about right for life expectancy.

I personally like the mini plus, it i's shorter and holds a little more juice. Flavor is about the same.

Kayfun mini v3. The Kv3mini plus is a "fantasy " Chinese tank, clone of the Kv3 mini, shorter, fatter, it is 23 mm vs 19 of the K v3 mini. The mini plus v1.5 is the only one that fits one the Pico.

Today while looking frustrated at fasttech order sitting in chicago for 4 days for my 'nectars' I decided I would try a avocado again, had one before but it had connection problems, but didn't want to wait for online, so went to a local B&M and picked up a black one for $30, not too bad for a B&M mark up. Coiled up with a clapton 1.6ohm coil and now vaping nicely at 16 watts :)

Has anyone tried the SXK Corolla 1.5? Really liking the idea of these genesis style tanks, don't have to really worry about leaking if keep them upright ( which I do with my tanks) I looked up the SXK Corolla, but seems can only get them from china vendors.

I wish they'd stop describing these things as "genisis" they ain't.

They are the same design, coil on top with wick going down to the tank below.
a self feeding dripper is not a genny by a long shot.
People that put cotton in a genny are pariahs....no one will hire them...children chase them down the streets yelling rude names at them and throwing garbage at them.women won't have sex with them...they are forced into a life of isolation where eventually they take their own miserable lives....

Calling it a dripper is more far fetched than calling it a genesis, no dripping involved, dripper has no tank, genesis has a tank, coil on top of the tank with wick going down into the tank, same design.

So that is my opinion, just like you have yours, some people would agree with you and some will agree with me, so I will leave it at that, as it isn't really that important is it?

Does FT have the Tobecco clone? I have two of the SXK ones and they are nice but if the Tobecco one has an even looser airflow I would like to give it a go.

The tobeco k5 clones are the first to sell out. I don't think FT has them, at least I haven't seen them listed there. I believe someone else posted the link to one of the places selling them a few pages back

From the few minutes of the video reviews I've seen, the Phenom is very much like the Gem and somewhat like the Calyx. Am I right?

So, wait just a minute! The tanks are PPMA not glass?

Yes, one big drawback, same thing with the nectar's, but at least you can get glass tanks for the nectar, but I am mostly dessert/bakery vapor, so shouldn't be a big problem for me.

Since I started DIY, I'm using so many different juices, I might forget and mess the tank. It sounds like I really need to get my little glass kiln (at least) set up and make my own replacement tanks.
I made a 1.2mm airflow "plug" for the Merlin, had to wait forever for the die, but it was worth it, now the Merlin is a true MTL tank.
