Best Online Resources for Vaping

Perhaps it would be cool (and extremely helpful) to have a Vaping Underground thread for APV users to post the best resources they have discovered online for mod specs, battery specs and drain, ohm calculations, coil building, and e juice recipes.

I will be happy to kick it off with a few that i use regularly... PLEASE chime in.

First, any time I build a coil I refer to this online "app" where you can choose the wire you want use, the size diameter, single coil or dual, and the ohms I am aiming for and it will tell me exactly how many wraps I need. It even has a nice visual image to guide you. It is called coil toy. Here: http://coiltoy.ermeso.com/

Second, I always refer to a Vaping Safety Chart (version 3.0 is the best one) to determine the variable voltage and/or wattage I should use for the resistance (ohm) coil I have built. There is a separate sub ohm vaping chart out too. If you follow this chart you can find the sweet spot for your build and avoid burning a coil and/or your juice. I found it helpful to save the chart on my phone so i can adjust on the go (as my memory and math skills suck). Here is a link: http://thetamarindtree.co/safe-vaping-power-chart/

Third, if you want an advanced online resource for coils, juice mixing, ohm charts, battery drain, and finding the sweet spot for your specific APV go to this site. It is called Steam Engine. Here: http://www.steam-engine.org/

I encourage everyone i meet that is new to vaping to research the limitation of their mod and their battery (the heart of the whole deal) before getting caught up in 'how low can you go'. Clouds are fun (true) but flavor is where it is at (imo).

I know youtube reviews can be subjective in experience but I frequently visit the following.
PBusardo: https://www.youtube.com/user/pbusardo
Twisted 420: https://www.youtube.com/user/VapingwithTwisted420
Rip Trippers: https://www.youtube.com/user/RiPTrippers

Chime in... what are some of the 'go to' online resources that you use?
Favorite youtube review guys?
Coil building tutorials?
Awesome Juice (and or recipes)

If we pool our collective knowledge this thread could really rock. Thanks all.

As always, Vape safe.

I don't understand that one. If i have a battery which is 3.7v (assuming i don't adjust its output, or it's in a mech mod), then i should stick to coils which are around 4-8Ω?? I know i can't be reading that right.

Determine your OHMS first (the ohms are the coil in your VV/VW mod).

If your ohm resistance is, for instance 1.9 then your wattage CAN be from 8-14.8 w OR (if you prefer to adjust your mod via voltage) aim for between 4 and 5.3 v. 1 ohm coil is between 9 and 1.4 watts and 3-3.8 v. See what i mean?

Vaping is about finding the sweet spot (IMO). The result is influences by the battery strength, the juice flavor and pg/vg%, the nicotine %, and even time of the day (heat or cold outside influences juice).
Vaping is a very subjective thing as well. Some folks like a hotter, more dense vape while others prefer cooler and light with less throat hit. Mouth to lung folks tend to go lower on scale while lung guys want it max'd out and hot as hell.

Thanks for the plug of JuiceDB BUDKISS. I am an Admin. there so hopefully I am not out of line in posting. Since you mentioned videos too, I will say you can link any YouTube video review to any juice on JuiceDB.

You got most of the stuff I use regularly posted already so nice job.

For DIY I found this recipe website and saved it for possible future use (no current DIY experience) http://www.e-liquid-recipes.com/

Being the Redditor I am here are some other links I saved:

Sc01m00, (someday explain the screen name.)
Thanks for the post and great additions.
Not out of line at all. I appreciate your input.

I wish someone would add AnnaMae's juice to the juice db. I love their Granny's Custard.
(I guess I could get off my butt and do it myself though, huh?)

I joined juice DB and added a review for Granny's Custard.
Such a cool resource as choosing a juice with so many offered is sometimes hard.

I'd also be EXTREMLY interested in hearing people's favorite vaping news websites and online shops to snag some awesome hardware. I'm always down to find some more great vaping sites. Personally, I've made it a daily habit now to hit up Todd's reviews, vapor joes, and essentially the entire gamut of youtube vaping-gear reviewers lol sometimes I'll find an interesting thread relating to vapping in the e cigarette subreddit, but it's pretty hit or miss...

I'm a fan of Big Lou's East Coast Reviews

He buys everything he reviews, so there's no bias. If a juice tastes like crap, he says so. If a mod or RDA is a piece of junk, he doesn't pull any punches there either. Lou is a New Yorker who drops a lot of F-bombs, so he's not for everyone...but I like his down to earth style
