Was about to post about this. I understand something like the HoG but as a regulated device, I just don't get this fist filler. At least to me, this would be so uncomfortable just to get a little more battery life at a time.

It definitely feels like something you would release when you just say fuck it.

Also all that power & the limiter is still .1

Jesus. My local vape shop has a couple of power junkies working there. My last visit they were using the new primus. They usually elan their mods wide open but I think they were making the primus at around 250 or so. I took a cape on it and it was HOT. No clue what you would do with 400 watts

Actually unless I am very much mistaken, even the HOG v2 was a 2s2p. But to get 400w I'd assumed you'd need to run this in 4s. Oh well.

Love it!
It's definitely on the must have list.
400W is like having 600bhp on a car. It's there when you want it! ;)
Put 4 LG HG2s in there and vape at 50W for a week...
Put 4 LG HB6s in there and vape at 400W for a few hits...

If it's Nuvoton based like the Primus, it will give low ohm warning < 0.1 ohms but if you switch to TCR it will fire those lower builds which is nice. 400W "preheat" will be a BEAST from a "consumer turnkey" mod that doesn't break the bank.

Of course it's all speculation at this point, it could use a different chipset, err too far on the cautious side and be a real POS.

Can't wait for (hopefully) Daniel at DJLsb to review one!

If it doesnt fire atleast 200w+ at .04-.06 I dont want it....If the watts arent where they are actually needed then there isnt even a point.

Of coarse it doesnt fire under .1 Ohms in Power Mode...another worthless mod.

Unless SMOK partners with hohm tech/DNA/Yihi, the possibility of that happening is almost zero. And the possibility of Smok partnering with any of those companies? Well...

Am I missing something? I still only Vape at 30-35 Watts. Is there actually a need for 400 Watts? Who is out there saying " finally a device that can deliver the power I need to get a satisfying Vape. How many units do they think they will sell?

There is one other type of person that would buy one.
A collector.
I have mods that I knew when I purchased them that they wouldn't get much usage.
(however 99% of all my mods get used through out my rotation, there are just a few that I felt I needed without intent on them being in that rotation)
I wanted them just because they would look good on my shelf next to another mod.
Maybe I needed it because the color worked well in the order the rest of them were in.
I have the 300 watt Primus and the Spartans.
I'll tell ya now due to their look, size, and weight, they will not receive much usage now that they have been through their testing stage.
So while I CURRENTLY am not interested in this 400 watt mod, that can easily change in a short period.
Especially if a time comes where there doesn't seem to be anything else that I don't have but in the mood for a new one.

All that said, there is no need what-so-ever for anyone to USE this mod at it's max settings.
Then again, maybe the lock ness monster or big foot is into vaping.
