In that respect I guess I'm an accidental collector then. Lol. I've got a clone ZNA 50. Loved it. Till the fire button started going wonky. It still kind of works but rapidly became a pain to even use. It's in a drawer now. I sadly moved on but it served me well for a year or so.

LOL! Mine is an authentic, and I fell into it completely by accident when they came out. I love the mod, and I'd still be using it today if Zen had an upgrade method to convert it to a DNA 40 board. I use TC pretty exclusively these days, so the DNA 40 would make it usable for me again, instead it will likely sit on my shelf forever because it is just a beautiful piece of work.

Yeah I don't even think HoZ made a 50w themselves right? I think mine is the Cloupor clone. Anyhow, I paid $69 for it new and even got an original Tobh in that deal. It was sweet at the time. I got $69 worth out of that combo. But it wasn't $200. Heh

Yeah, HoH never made it in anything other than a DNA 30. I liked it so much I picked up a couple of the 1:1 clones because I couldn't afford 2 more authentics. For over a year, these were primarily the only mods I used. Sure, I had a few others, but my trusty ZNAs were my go to daily drivers. I even considered sending them to HoH for retrofitting an authentic DNA board, but that was right about the same time the DNA 40 came out and I was sure HoH would offer an upgrade path ... I was wrong :(

This is true. Once you move into a hobbyist range and end up collecting pieces a couple hundred is not uncommon at all. Another aspect is that many dna40 in the collector bracket have a rrp of $500+ and get flipped for much more until their popularity fizzle out, but I am seeing that a lot of single batt sought after devices are making a transition to the sx350j board because it offers a little bit more power. I also see once sought after dna30 devices still bring in a few hundred + in the private market.

Buy what you like, and for me it is little concern if someone (other than my wife) does not approve of my purchase.
personally, I prefer the way the 30 fires over the 40. if I were to get one of the real collector mods and I could only have the 30 or the 40, I would take the 30

That may be, but it doesn't do TC ... and there is the rub.

between those two boards.... I wouldn't want tc.

I have several dna 40's none of which get used in tc anymore. the best board for tc from evolve is the 200/133..and soon to be 75.
the 40 really is the test subject

Yeah, but the 40 with the small screen is the ONLY one that will fit the ZNA form factor. If there were any other options I would consider them.

missed the part where this was exclusive to that mod, I would try to see what the footprint Is for some of the yihi boards.

Rofl... You guys are cracking me up. Here's my criteria: does the mod produce the required current to fire my atomizer of choice at an affordable price? I'm in.

It will take any board that is built to the DNA 30 specification of size, button placement and solder points ... I think there can be only one! LOL

So that is the same criteria I'm using, and the ZNA is sitting on a shelf because of it! LOL

I don't know, dude, my problem with the 40 is that its great for tanks, and that's it. I use mine a lot, but I wouldn't dump the 30 for it.
if that makes sense.
but I only use ss in tc
the 30 really Is ok for a ingle coil rda, granted very limited, but there is zero ramp up. the 40 has a ramp that annoyes me with a dripper.

I would be happy with a tank on it ... just for the ability to enjoy it again. One of these days I may go looking for a DNA 40 board for it and try my hand at doing it myself. I really do love the mod.

Now that I have sufficiently gone OT and jacked this thread, I'm off to bed, got to work tomorrow. G'nite guys.

I got a 1:1 clone of the ZNA 50 watts in 316l stainless. It's a great mod and machined quite well. I traded a banged up Nemesis for an Authentic ZNA and was underwhelmed. I like the DNA30 board, it's solid and reliable, but I remember trying to buy an authentic and being treated like crap by Electronic Stix. People were buying multiples at $230-250 a shot and flipping them for $400+. One schmuck bought 15, the entire shipment and proceeded to flip them on ebay for $380, so Electonic Stix put a limit of one for purchase, but by then most people just gave up. A month later the high quality clones hit for $70-95 and they sold out in a few days. I spoke with a Chinese vendor on Skype who was selling the mods. He was laughing, He sold 6700 pieces in one day. ONE DAY.

I'm debating the 60w box; I never got the 40w. I do have the 50w tube and love it with the kf5. and have a small squadron of dna200s

This popped up in my inbox out the blue. I had wondered if they were steal selling any more.

I guess loyalty has it benefits and vapes just taste and work better because its provaped.

There's just toooo many inexpensive mods that have more power, have TC, and are sharper constructed, with great review and customer ratings to not choose a 200 dollar Radius.. I mean it's a no brainer..
