O.K. so I live in Oakland, and I bought a mod from a company in California...first off I had to pay a new additional tax to that wizened penis faced fcuk Jerry Brown....
But then the company said I had to send them a copy of my driver's license,but latter on sent the mod through fed ex with the requirement I had to show the delivery guy a photo ID saying I was at least 21 years old....
have other people in california run into this shit ordering vape gear...is this part of the new fascist asshole Democrat party's war( for the childeren) on vaping laws the democrats in the state legislature passed recently.or is this something peculiar to this particular company.....

Im out here in California for awhile started a new puter job here.. I have not ordered anything from California but have not had any issues with anything I have bought elsewhere.. I saw someone else bitching about this place all I know is its too fucking hot here!!

I am not from California or even the US. But I have read on a recent thread of others having to do the same.

How much was the additional tax?
The age requirements isn't just a CA thing, it is a federal law and all online retailers in the US have to comply. In most of thr country it is 18 and above except CA and Hawaii which require 21 and above due to state laws.
The Chinese online retailers can give a fuck, no age requirements for them.
I am done with any online retailer asking for a copy of my ID or the last 4 digits of my SSN, fuck that. Beyond Vape actually did well to send with sig conf from an adult 21 and over, saves you from id theft.

I live in California, and yes, you always pay sales tax (mine is 9% LA County tax) on anything you order from within the state!

The ID thing seems to be widespread now - there are lots of posts on the forums about various companies and how they're handling it.

And, yes, it's horribly hot - at least where I live :-(

The sales tax is unavoidable but the OP mentions a new additional tax which sounds like sales tax + some new vape related tax?

What worries me is CA following PA and instituting a ridiculous 40% taxes on Tobacco products which vaping now falls under. With how tax happy CA is I don't think that would surprise anyone. I love living in CA, just hate the politicians.

CA vendors seems to have more hoops to jump through. For the most part the pukes in the legislature never support anything that doesn't line their pockets or get them reelected

What this new rules are from the fucken FDA getting involved and their new deeming regs! All companies after August 8th are required to obtain valid government I.D.'s, shops can no longer let vapors try juice for free, cannot work on our mods or show us how to build coils or they would be considered manufacturers! Yeah it's a bunch of bullshit and if we don't vote the senators out of office, yeah republican'ts they will make this permanent! We have two years to change this or it's going to be hell for us!
