MTL Vaping

I am clearly a MTL vaping guy. As a former pack a day smoker, it feels more natural to me. Sub ohm and big clouds just don't do it for me. My question is this for other MTL fans.

What tank do you use? What coil and power are you using?

I have several, but always come back to my Nautilus. I have yet to find a close 2nd place or one that is superior in both flavor or true MTL experience.

sxk corolla v1 and v1.5...15 watts, the single most flavorful tank ive tried over 6 years, draw is outstanding for MTL
kayfun 3.1 ES and v5...12 to15 watts, you'll be hard pressed to find a smoother vape
kabuki w/1.6 ohm nautilus coils...11 to 12 watts, if you like the nautilus, the kabuki will blow you away, draw range is outstanding for MTL

I like a tad more airy MTL draw. I mainly use a Goblin Mini RTA. If I need something with a premade coil, I can grab the Eleaf GS tank.

Kayfun Mini is a tighter draw, has MANY fans, good flavor, just a bit too tight draw, for me.

I suppose it kind of depends, if you want to build your own coils, or not.

This was a good suggestion. Lots of info in that thread, but most are RTA tanks.

I really like the Kayfun 5 and kayfun mini 3 (tobecco clones) I really think the mini has better flavor. The airflow is adjustable and comparable to the nautilus. At least it is my impression that works for me. I recently tried the Kanger Pandu and really liked it at first but it has a major flaw with the 510 connector. It is not smooth either so I'm assuming due to poor materials or I just got a dud.

I use an Avocado 24 RTA now for all day vape. 1.6 ohm single coil. 16 watts. I use the single(tightest) air hole.

I always used the Nautilus before. Still use my Nautilus mini for my tobacco flavors for morning and evening vape. The coils last a long time since the tobacco flavors I use don't seem to gunk the coils much. Coils for the Nautilus became a pain so I went to an RTA.

mini katfun 3- my primary go to for mtl
kayfun v5
aqua v2
kayfun 4
kayfun 3.1
derrinfer rda on a reo

by far my favorite all around for mtl is the kayfun mini v3, easy to build, easy to fill and it is great on a small box making it ideal as a grab and go easy carry

Keeping it in the family, have you tried the Nautilus Mini? Same coils but the Mini tastes much better IMO. I have no idea why.
To up it a notch, the Triton Mini, top fill, looks better and yep, same coils. The BVC Clapton coils are nice except when they go bad, they go bad quickly in my experience. Same price, perform better.

i use the cloud one atty and the nautilus x for those days when i want a good TH (bump up my juice to 6mg) and a nice relaxing MTL type vape

my go to MTL build (well my go to build for everything actually lol):

single coil + 316L ss 26g + 3mm + 7/8 wraps = ~0.8ohms with cotton @ 18.5w

I use Genisis attys..I usually like a restricted lung hit,and I have a couple of favorite gennys for that, but for serious just MTL vaping I use the BMG22 genisis, 29 0r 28 gauge kanthal.... at 8 to 1 ohm.

for shits and giggles I made up some clapton wire 27 wrapped with 32 and put it around a ss mesh wick.....I really enjoyed it in my Pulse genny.

as you can tell, there is a wide range of really good MTL tanks...
some are relatively inexpensive while others approach one hundred dollars and up...
your own experience with the nautilus has been a good one it seems...many folks i know have been very happy with their nautilus and nautilus minis...
enough to stay with them for years and have no desire try anything else.
whatever keeps you from smoking and provides you with a positive vaping experience is the only thing that matters.
every one of us that posted in your thread have different personalities and different vape styles, we dont put each other down for our choices of our personal favorite vape gear.

All suggestions are great ones, but keep in mind that some of the aforementioned tanks are either very expensive (authentic ) while the clones are as easy to find as chicken teeth. My MTL tanks are kabuki clone with triton mini clapton coils or rba, Pico clone rba/ clr coil, kayfun mini v3 and v3 plus, phenomenon lite (clones still available here and there) , calyx (not as good as phenom. for me) , cloudone clone - same idea as gemv2 but not as pricey. Personally I found the kayfun v5 too airy for MTL not nearly as tight as nautilus. The first triton with 1.8 ohm coils was also a very good one but the triton mini was just so-so for me.

Squonking is worth some thought. I have a Hellfire Viper V1 on my SVA, and its a lovely MTL experience with a 1.2mm airhole. Its also very tiny, 14mm outer diameter which gives immense flavour. Running it now with a 1.4 ohm coil and 12-14w, great vape. Got my Viper second hand for 40-45$ so not too expensive either.

Hello everybody! I'm new in the vaping world and trying to get a hold on it.... has anyone tried the eleaf lemo 3 MTL vaping?
I have tried the lemo3, I found it to be a good DL tank; but, not for mtl ..
ive whittled my mtl down to kayfuns and erlkoenigin.
you cant beat the kayfun for ease of use and combination of flavor and vapor. for a new builder, they are almost a standard. easy to find, parts are easy to come by, easy to customize appearance.
