Reuleaux Rx200/Limitless RDTA ramp up problems, takes two fires to heat up properly with claptons?

Hello,

I just put a Limitless RDTA Plus on my Reuleaux RX200 and I am using dual 6 wrap claptons which my Reuleaux is telling me that im sitting at 0.11 ohms.

I was told that 85 watts should push these claptons well enough, but it's not and it only until 125 watts that it works right.... is that good or bad? someone told me that 85 watts is well suffice for these claptons

What exactly are those Claptons? Fused? Twisted? An gage? Makes all the diff. But honestly I've never had to hit 125 Watts to use any normal Claptons with 6 wraps. I have the RX 200 n limitless plus. New to the limitless have not messed around too much with it, but I've thrown crazy stuff in my twisted messes to get that high watts. Not strait Claptons though.

IDK something doesn't sound right but we need more info on the coils. I can run a 6 wrap 2.5mmID SS316L fused clapton coils at that resistance. If you are running regular claptons with kenthal A1 it sounds high. Also 60-70 watts easily fires mine up. 125 watts sounds too high. Maybe pics and more specs would help?

If they are fused or large gage with a big diameter 125 watts is totally normal. Need more info

I ran dual 7 wrap SS316L Fused Clapton coil build at about .15 ohms (IIRC) and even at 65 watts it kicked up hard. and SS316L has a lower resistance then kenthal A1

Ran a dual coils / twisted SS Claptons / 28-30/ 10 wrap/ 3 mm. .3 ohms. Tried to tc it at 100w with 420d. Did not like it. Still new to the Tc thing. Not convinced yet. I don't know how many devices I need it try it out on till I understand it o well. In wattage mode 65 was good. 10 wraps is a lot for the juice to get to.

Few questions. When u say no good, was it burnt or did it not produce and vapor? Are you sure the mod is set for TC in SS mode? I'm not too familiar with the rx200 personally but it could be a thing with the mod. Or maybe you have a defective one? Need more info. If you are going to try and get in temp control I'd highly recommend the vt133 or another dna 200 mod or a hohm wrecker g2.

No it was not burnt at all. I just don't get the vapor like I do from wattage mode. I've tried in tanks, rda, rtas. I don't know why. If I wick it right in wattage mode it just works fine. I've only used SS in TC. So if I'm not happy with that I just vape away in wattage mode. SS is great that way.

I guess I don't like the drop off TC does. I guess I like a manual transmission kinda thing like my car. Hit it. Pull off its getting too much. Then refire it at the end if it needs it. Maybe I just have control issues

Are you positive the mod is in SS mode? I get tons of vapor in temp control. 420 is a little low. Most people say do 400-480. Depending on the build I go as high as 550 to get the vapor I want. I'd try raising the temp limit until u get what u want. On my g2 I've gone as high as 600 degrees and 140 watts on a tfv8 tank. On my so horney with a dual 316l fused Clapton build. I did 520 and 100 watts on a vt133. I think with bigger coils you have to raise the temp higher

Or... Not play around with all that....wick it n vape. Idk. It kinda works for me. I just feel the input of it to figure it out...which I've put a lot of time into TC. Trying but I think if you get to know your rta you get comfortable with it. I've just figured out there limits with watts on certien builds. I guess I might never figure out the TC thing. I've built it many times and put it on diff mods of mine. Idk

"With bigger coils you have to raise the temp higher?" I'm confused. What is the point of temp control if you do not keep it at 420f. The burn of cotton? It makes no sense to me to figure out someone else's version of science. 420 here 480 there. 500 ?

Wanted to know more about TC. But the more I ask about it the more confusing it gets. The inconsistency about the whole thing is ridiculous. Thank for your input to help me......sticking with what I know works for me.

It's just what I noticed. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's because the coils need to run hotter to get vapor due to the larger surface area. They also take more power to heat so having a preheat kicks them up faster as well

No problem. Go with whatever you enjoy. I admit it can be confusing and takes some time to get the hang of it, but in my opinion it's worth it
