my notes on FlavourArt Tiramisu

Hi All,
I'm new on the forums. Not new to vaping, 5 years and counting, and no I do not know everything hehehe.

I had to post a reply to this message even tho it's an old thread. Flavourart Tiramisu is a great flavor. Those long years ago it was difficult to find good pre mixed juices. My husband and I began making our own. We went thru all of the Capellas some we still use today. For me I landed on Flavourart Tiramisu and haven't looked back since. At that time it was only available in Italy. I'm very happy I can now get it in the US.

As for the flavor, it's amazing. To make it even better I add a small amount of marshmellow which sweetens it just enough. I've been out here or there and had people walk past me, turn, and say I smell like cookies. It's very funny. I do have an important tip though. Normally I purchase 30ml bottles. A few times I've been able to purchase larger bottles. Don't. The larger bottles always seem to smell and taste a lot like alcohol. So, if you want a great flavor pay a few extra dollars and stay with the 30ml bottles.

I hope this helps someone.

Hi, Dea! Glad to meet you. Yep, I love tiramisu! Have you looked through the recipes thread yet? Lots of really good ones, and some tiramisu recipes to try. Would love to have 5 years of vaping experience, big congrats!

I do have some stories. I'd also really like to share how we did it and how we made it this long. If anyone wants me to, I'll write it out. I have a tendency to be long winded. But the reason is because my hubby Scott and I love talking with people about e cigs. Hell, one story. Two years ago we were at Disney World. We went to a smoking area and next thing we knew we had a crowd of people asking us about e cigs. We stood there over two hours answering every question we could (again, I don't know everything. There's always more to learn).

It was funny taking that much time out of our vacation at Disney to talk with people, explain, and if one of those people now smoke e cigs, it was not a wasted amount of time.

Give a shout if ya wanna hear. :)

Alright. I'll tell hehe

Ok, nearly 6 yrs ago my hubby Scott and I saw the first e cigs. They were just like the "Blue" brand except they looked exactly like a cigarette. I was on my way from the east coast to the west coast. I've made that trip many times and always without an option to smoke. Not good when you're a heavy smoker for over 30yrs. But we looked and passed on by. Few months past when Scott came to me and asked me if I was interested in vaping instead of smoking. He had done a lot of research. That's how both of us are. We both do research before doing anything. We continue to research after. Like I said, I'm not an expert. I don't know everything. No matter what your doing there's always more to be learned.

At first I said I'd look at the research Scott did. Personally, I never ever tried to stop smoking, I never desired to stop. The world of vaping was so small. The mods were not good. We started out with mods just like the "Blue" brand. Amazingly the very day we got our first supplies was the last day Scott smoked a cigarette. He instantly switched. It took me a few months but I got there. There were people who were starting to make mods. If you wanted one you needed to be on a waiting list. We did just that. Scott is amazing, a computer guru and more. So he figured out how much we spent a year on cigarettes which was about $6000. He also knew we would have to spend money up front to find what we wanted in e cigs. So we did. Between mods, attys, juice, etc... We spent a good $2000 finding our way. After many mods I settled on a provape (now provari) I did get two provari mods also. Next juice. What was out at the time sucked. That's the only way I can explain it. It was very nasty. Tasted a lot like alcohol and we also learned the nic that was in the juice was purchased in large quantities cheaply because it was very old barely fit for human consumption. That's when we decided to make our own juice.

We went thru a lot of flavor companies. The best is Capella and my Flavourart. Both we still use today. We found fresh nicotine, pg, and VG. We were off and running. Scott went for the 510 with the small area for juice. I went to the 901 dripping. At this point is when people began asking questions. Scott came up with the perfect answer. Switching to vaping is easy if you look at it the right way. All your doing is switching one set of habits for a different set. That's actually dead on. Ya gotta buy cigarettes, have a lighter, pull out the pack, grab one, grab the lighter, light it, put the pack and lighter away. Vaping, put batteries in your mod, turn on, grab juice, add juice, put it away, vape. Really once your brain wraps around that you're good to go.

My doctor was amazed. Now when the nurse puts me in a room and closes the door he knows I'm gonna vape. It's funny. Yes, Disney. I love Disney. Been there 8 times. When we vape we do go to the smoking spots which is where we ran into a family that wanted to know everything. I felt bad for the kids. They wanted splash mountain but their parents wanted every bit of info we have. We even ended up writing notes which listed sites to check, videos to watch, where to buy supplies. I think people need to know you'll have an initial investment to figure out what you want to vape and where to get it. The thing that really turns heads is the math. Spending $6000 a year on cigarettes. Now we spend $1200 a year on supplies.

Although, this year it'll be more. Almost a year ago we updated our toys. It was getting difficult to find 901 attys. Scott needed a tank that would hold more juice. Plus e cig shops opened. We've gone to a few of them. I find it funny that they are all the same. Like a hooka lounge. Come in, sit back, talk. I've began collecting mods. Most mechanical. But I have a few vv vw mods. My favorite is my bec pro. This mod is kick ass awesome. I've also began making my own coils. I have a lot of RDAs. I had the worst time with coils. For a good month I made coils and none of them worked. One day I made a coil and it worked perfectly. I swear the coil gods were watching me the whole time. After a month they slapped me upside the head do said "Ok, you've struggled enough" . Ever since then my coils always work. That does lead me to something tho. If any of you are making coils and using the little meters to check the resistance, stop. Toss the meters out a window cus they suck and are wrong. I have two of them and they've never been right. I test either with one of those big multi testers electricians use or on my mod. The mod is easier. If the resistance starts changing, remove the cap and re tighten the screws. That'll bring it back to where it's supposed to be. I also prefer 30g kanthal. 7 wraps always gives me a .9 resistance. For wicking I use the "Cloud Chasers organic 2mm thick cotton." I've tried everything else and nothing holds up like this wick. Also it's easy to change. Once the coils start producing less vapor. Carefully remove the wick, burn the coils to get the crud off, add new wick.

Ok that story was pretty boring. Sorry, I'll answer questions, maybe send coils for to use, maybe even my juice. Speaking of that, someone said a 30ml bottle would last forever. I wish! I use an entire 30ml bottle when I mix my juice. I have a decent size bottle a mix in. Best thing ever, I'm dyslexic so actually measuring is very difficult for me. I'm an artist. I had a brilliant idea. I put a piece of masking tape up the side of my bottle. Scott measured and added the ingredients one at a time. As soon as he added one, I drew a line across the masking tape, next, another line, etc... Now I can make a very large amount of juice in less than 2 minutes. It's awesome!!!

Gotta go soon but I have a question. There is a mod I've been hunting for for almost a year. It's made by a Chinese company "Vogo" or on fasttech as the Yinke 0.8 oled vw g-sensor apv mod. I did get one but it didn't last a week. I put the matter it's in one morning and it just started going. Had to pull the batteries. Tried different ones as well as different RDAs. Nothing worked. I've heard you can get the "vogo" mods on alibaba but only the silver version can be purchased as a single unit. The rainbow always has a minimum order. So if anyone knows where I can get this mod please let me know.

Btw, 5yrs vaping isn't long. It seems long but once you're vaping the time just flows by. All of you can get to 5yrs or more. I'm almost at 6. Don't let others dictate what you can do. Do it for you. :)

I'm new to FA and just wanted to share what I've noticed with Tiramisu: starts off as a strong coffee flavor, but by day 4, the coffee mellows out ever so little and the cake part really peeks through. Caught me by surprise this morning - almost thought I topped off with Pandoro by accident, until I woke up and realized I didn't have any of that mixed (I get that same kind of buttery pound-cakey thing in Tiramisu). Love this flavor. So rich, velvety and luxurious throughout, from inhale to exhale. I have to dry burn and wick a little more often, but oh, so worth it.

I'm on a mech and have no way of adjusting voltage/wattage, so YMMV. 0.9Ω single coil, Squape R, wicked with rayon.

Totally agree. After the initial shake and vape I got a dry coffee flavor and wasn't too impressed, but a couple days later I tried it again and the cake flavor slapped me in the face. So good.

make a boozy version with Irish Cream

Mixed it with a little Irish Cream and oh my god... perfection. Irish Cream smooths out the rough edges in Tiramisu and Tiramisu takes the boozy bite out of Irish Cream. It's soft and smooth, and at the same time rich and full... coffee, dessert, and a creamy cocktail all in one puff. These two flavors were made for each other. My favorite mix so far. I can't put it down.

Quick question... Is this a tank cracking flavor? Just found it on a list somewhere. I've had it in my poly tank for about 3 days now and it seems fine. Should I be worried?

A long time ago I put undiluted FA flavorings on the plastic used in cheap evod tanks, which were popular at the time, to see which might affect plastic. Tiramisu at pure strength did not affect it at all. No cracking, no hazing, nothing. Still, you can't go wrong always using glass.
Hmm. I had Swiss Bliss in it, then (without washing) filled it with mix of 5% TFA vanilla swirl, 3% FA irish cream, and 2% FA tiramisu. It had to be the juice cause the tank was fine when I put it in my hard case and cracked when I took it out. It was a Halo Triton tank and it was only about a week old. Weird.

I have a bunch of old Halo Triton tanks. I'll put some undiluted FA Irish Cream in one, undiluted Tiramisu in another, and see what happens. I'll have to dig out those tanks first, though!
I've got some old Halo G6 tanks I can try that with. The coils are shot and I know where they are. That's a great idea, btw... Testing the flavors with old tanks. I've got a ton of poly tanks that I don't use.

My Squape R is unaffected (vaped it for about a week nonstop :D ) but just a sliver of plastic up on top. I'll give it a try on my Orchid next. HIC/Raina, wondering if maybe the pressure from heat buildup or something like that might have something to do with it? Maybe that's why it doesn't crack on an unvaped clearo.

I wonder. I've had two Triton tanks crack on me so far. The first was FA mango. They're top coil tanks and both cracked vertically at the bottom.

Yes - FA Mango and some of their other fruit and spice flavors (and the right %, with certain plastics) CAN mess up plastic.
Is there a list of tank cracking FA flavors somewhere? I've seen other lists, but tiramisu is the only FA flavor I've found on any list.

OK, countdown: I just loaded up my KFL V2+ with 3% Tiramisu + 0.5% Catalan Cream (ack, really strong in the KFL ). Tank is one of these:

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10009156/1678200-replacement-polycarbonate-tanks-for-kayfun-3-1
Just a quick followup: 5 days and 30ml later, no cracking, no fogging, no signs of the tank getting eaten up by Tiramusu @ 3%, which again was really strong in the KFL. I'm a flavor junky too. :D This was the only tank I used this whole time. No visual ill effects whatsoever, no symptoms of anything funky...now the BPA leeching from the polycarbonate might be another issue, but have no way of telling.

Was gonna keep going 'til it cracked, but just couldn't go another day with a coffee vape. I had just come from a couple of weeks of Jamoca Almond Fudge and Tiramisu before this, then Tiramisu again. Ack, need a break! So topped the same tank off with pseudo-Millionaire Pie! Let's test Pineapple now! :p

When I get tired of this atty, I'll top it off with Tiramisu again and let it sit somewhre.

I no longer think this flavor is a tank cracker. For the last month I've been moving my Irish Cream/Tiramisu blend from one tank to another and haven't had any problems. I'm wondering now if the tank with the tiramisu got some of the mango juice on on it when that tank went and that's the reason it cracked. They were beside each other in my little carrying case. Just wanted to note that, cause this is one of my absolute favorite flavors and I didn't want anyone reading this to get scared off. :)

How much is the procent/ratio, from Tiramisu and Irish Cream, when you people mix it?
I can easily vape 3% Irish Cream, but usually stay at 2% and add other stuff.
Tiramisu is so strong, I rarely go over 1%, no matter how many other flavorings I add. In fact, I often use just 0.5%. It's one of FA's strongest.
