Squonkers are Bonkers

Looks like $129.
a) glad I learned for half that (Wraith) that I just plain prefer mech squonkin'. I'm weird, I know, but it's what I like...
b) Another squonkbox reviewed by someone who doesn't squonk. Always kinda entertaining, if not informative...
:) (not meaning to 'dis the reviewer - just saying, if you're "into" squonking, you kind of want details a fellow bottom-feeder would know to provide).

I don't believe in any other way for squonking.... though maybe a DNA 200 with lipo might be different but anything less should be strictly mech :) and that's mainly cuz of the lipo not the chip

I like it that way too, but less hassle with TC. Not evough vapor? time to squonk.

.35 SS in a Velocity min on chester right now.

I am one with my mech squonkers - never a problem with knowing when to squonk, lol.

But I don't TC anything. Different strokes for different folks.

I just happen to come across them at gearbest however they didn't have the version with the black leather panel http://www.gearbest.com/mod-kits/pp_437630.html Still a single replaceable 18650 and a lower price than the halycon/lipo 900mAh has me interested in this one.

Thanks for posting the video ;) vapnfagan also posted a live look

Not very thrilled about regulated squonking in general or this one in particular. Apart from its looks it offers very little and it's a pain in the ass to change the battery (at least that's how it looked like in Mike Vapes' first look). For regulated I think the Halcyon is good value for money.

From what I have seen I agree. A cobbled together design.
Did you notice how the 510 pin and the bottle do not line up correctly because they did not move the 510.

just got my unicorn mod. been gloating all day
but was looking, at the lost vape. I was all about it, until I saw the nightmare that will be changing batteries on the fly.
What is a Unicorn Mod?
Tried Google and that did not turn out well.

A while ago I managed to get the b/f kit for the Origen V.2 all the way from Switzerland. A dual vertical coil at 0.72 (0.69 on the Kanger 160!!). At 40 watts, this thing is performing amazingly!! A great restricted lung hit (more restricted than the Narda) that is bursting with flavor and no whistling!

I am thinking about picking up a Narda; is the whistling a deal breaker for those who have tried it?

i close my air flow around half closed on my NarDA and don't get much whistling. i have an Origen v3 clone and actually that thing whistles too depending on what air flow setting you have it on. not sure if the AFC is the same as v2 or not...

vapinart has bf origen v2/v3 kit in stock for $16.95. i might have to pick one up. love the origen v3

With the airflow wide open the Narda gives this swooshing sound but it's definitely not a deal breaker. I have 3 Narda clones. That's how much I love this brilliant atty. if you love an atty get it in triplets.

You won't regret it. Very good investment. I got the SS one.

I have a clone, and an authentic, and a 3rd party delrin cap - and they ALL whistle.
But I like 'em and use them anyway. I'd prefer it quieter - and someday, I may find the right tool and open the airflow slots up just a TINY little bit...though if the whistle's from the inside airpath, that might not be do anything...

for both my clones, fully open to half way open it whooshes/whistles...
slightly less than halfway to closed, no whistle...
tape off one airflow slot and no whistle at all on any airflow setting...
leads me to believe its generated internally...
i use mine everyday , both air slots slightly less than halfway open @24 watts...
i like the narda alot, i let the girlfriend try the origen v2...thats the one she likes (on a lost vape halcyon squonker)...i'll never get that one back...

after having a stumpy clone a year, i just dialled it in on a single battery mech

i had kept it, since it works well for series builds

single parallel 26awg nichrome on 2.5mm with 4 wrap Z coil

trying to find more now, ordered a combo with a bin fodder mod off ft, but it is black

my origen little clones haven't shipped yet, looking forward to those to further play with parallel Zs
