My name is Patrick, I am a 23 year old college student in Texas. I smoked analogs for about 6 years and just recently got into vaping. I'm just using an ego for now but looking to step up to an Apv mod soon. Thanks and nice to meet y'all.

Nice I was in Houston about a month ago, went on a cruise to Cozumel.

I do like the compactness of the istick but I like the idea of something a little more stout. I want to step up to a rba and can't decide if I should get something like a dna30 clone or even a sigelei 100w (dual battery would be nice)!

Hi Patrick and Welcome!
There are a number of choices out there when it comes to mods and tanks or even atty's. You'll get a lot of good information here and on YouTube. Be sure you shop around really thoroughly before you make a purchase. A $90 VV/VW on one site might only be $50 on another. Prices are all crazy right now. Just to prove it I pulled up two shops and looked at the Innokin Itaste MVP One site was one sale for $59.95. That's 10 bucks off their normal price. Second site has the same thing for $46.99. Same product. The cheaper one comes with an IClear 30 even. Here is that good site.
Variable Watts/ volts mods will only take you so far if you're using clearomizers or CE4 like devices. Eventually you will move into building and that's where the fun comes in. So enjoy these first few months of bliss. Once you learn about cloudchasing it's over. You're not a kid anymore. Your an extreme low ohm cloud chasing fool who flirts with disaster on every new build.

Hope you have fun here. You're not in San Antonio are you? I love that place.

I'm really trying to decide between a hana clone or the sigelei 50w, I'm leary of purchasing the hana clone because it will spend a fair amount of time in my back pack during class. With the sudden fires caused by hana clones it has me worried that it could get stuck firing in my backpack and I wouldn't even know it. Am I just being paranoid?

I like the sigelei for its small size and magnetic battery cover.

I know I want a kayfun or similar and don't care about subohming.

Man if I was you I would just chuck down the change either for the Sigelei 100w the IPV V3or the god mod the only reason I suggest this is battery life... even havning two 18650's allows one to go out and now worry too much :) just some thoughts caue my IPV V2 eats batteries and I vate at .9 to 1.2 ohms on it if I vape lower and sub-ohm to .5 or .3 its gone in 15 minutes flat

The 100w is tempting, are there any other dual battery devices worth mentioning?

You'll be vaping on a 1 or higher ohm setup if I'm right. Battery life shouldn't worry too much I don't think. No offense MrScaryz. One 18650 should last through out the day for a college kid and then you can switch it out in the evening. The door seems to be a little flimsy though. One screw and one small magnet hold it on. If I had this in my back pack I would be worried about that for sure.

As far as the Hana goes you get a pretty good product. Not all Atty's will sit flush on it and there is the internal battery. But the charging is easy, not sure what the specs/times are for a full charge but it shouldn't be too bad.

I would go with the Hana Mod 30. It's a little cheaper and in my opinion better quality. 30 is as high as you will need to go in the beginning.

Have most of the issues been resolved on hana clones? Like I said, I'm paranoid that some peoples clones caught on fire. If I went with a hana clone I would probably purchase from mtbaker using the vaporjoes coupon code, it comes out to $67 with free shipping.
