Angel Food Cake In progress

Recipes, opinions, thoughts, ideas are most welcome! I love Angel food cake and am trying to create such. What I have below needs to be a bit sweeter, but not a bad start.

1% TFA Meringue
.5% FA Cookie
.5% FA Catalan cream
.5% Caps Sugar Cookie V2
.5% Inw Shisha Vanilla
.5% TFA Marshmallow

I've seen people saying FA Metaphor tastes a lot like angel cake and it seems one of the more popular ones from that range. I didnt really get much cake from it just citrus, but I would try the labarinth ones in this and maybe a tiny bit of marshmallow. I remember angel cakes when I was little as a treat and they were in the uk always pink, yellow and white with cream in between the segments so maybe some vienna cream too?

It's an airy sugary cake...Not dense, very light, airy. My mom used to mix Crisco and sugar to make the frosting. Frosting was fluffy, and not over sweet like most cake frosting. It's hard to create a powdered sugar. Only thing Wilbo is my Angel food had no citrus in it...but I might just break down and purchase those 2 flavors you mentioned since I'm a citrus lover. Marshmallow might b a good idea.

I gave my vanillin away as I did not care for it, oops. I never use sweeteners, but do have a few I could try as well as em.

Still, FA or TFA Meringue has an unwanted caramel type taste.

Looks good. If you have Flavorah Pound Cake, try adding .5% and Sweet Cream (FW) at .5%

TY, I did try adding .5% Flv pound cake, neat how minds think along the same lines, but was closer w/o it. I don't have FW sweet cream, but may purchase to try in here.

I thought about this and I remember trying a recipe a while ago and it came to me, I would try Vanilla Cupcake (TFA) @ 1.25% and Yellow Cake (FW) @ 1%. As far as making it sweeter try adding Sweetener (TFA) @ 1%

Don't know how you feel about FA's Joy ... but I seem to recall a ref to powdered sugar using a touch of joy with meringue.. as you already have that in there .. might be worth a shot.

My first bottle of joy was simply amazing. My 2nd 2 bottles smell and taste like beer, but it's worth a shot.

I see diy flavor shake makes an angel food cake flavor, I might order it to try. Anyone tried it?

Do you mean Vanilla Cupcake (TFA)? I do not believe TFA makes Cake Batter. If it's Vanilla Cupcake (TFA) or Vanilla Cupcake (CAP) it tastes like yellow sponge cake mixed with Yellow Cake (FW). It needs time to steep 7 To 10 days.

Still working on this. When it is right on I will post on top, but now I am at...
1.5% TFA Meringue
1% CAP Sugar Cookie
.5% FA Catalan Cream
.5% FW Yellow Cake
.5% FA Vienna Cream

I am not a steeper, but to get this right I think I am going to have to. I'll steep this as well as one with .5% FA Coconut & .5% FA Walnut or .25% FA Hazelnut....trying to add butter to the cake as ingredients call for it. So, ...this is just for note sake for me or whoever.

Call me crazy or don't call me at all but, I would drop the Yeller Cake flavor and switch to DX Vanilla Cupcake TFA instead. I think it would work well with the Meringue to lift the Meringue up to be more pronounced. You want to keep the cake flavor in what you are trying to achieve but at the same time have the Meringue to be the flavor that binds to the cake.

If they only would come out with Meringue Cake flavor all would be well. If you had to spruce it up a little just a hair of TFA Toasted Marshmallow. More of the toast then the marshmallow. I would use the Cupcake, Meringue, and Toasted Marshmallow as the base then build on it with the other flavors to get the base to perk up where you want it to drive the Angle Food Cake effect.

Toasted Marshmallow as always the lowest percentage of all the flavors since you really want the toasted effect more than anything else but not to much. The fresh baked oven effect. If it doesn't work then you can go back to calling me crazy.

Oh, TY TY TY!!! I need to order the cupcake, but got the toasted marshmallow. I shall add the cupcake to my cart, as what I'm doing just ain't right. If it makes you feel good I will call you crazy if you want me to. I truly appreciate everyone's ideas and input.
