I have several squonkers, and the 160 is as good as any. It's not as accurate as the Halcyon and I don't use it in TC mode so I can't speak to the different wire functions or anything. Also I use an external battery charger so I can't speak to that either. I run a Tsunami 24 on it with a straight Kanthal build in the 80 to 90 watt range. Only problem I ever have with it is occasionally I get a blank screen after a few vapes, but I pop the batteries out and change their position and it solves that. For the money and for what I use it for it is a great squonker.
The Reo Grand is a great mod. I have 3 of them and use those as well. Never got the original Dripbox because of that. I had one of the clones that someone sent me to test out to compare to the Reo and if you stay over .25 or so they are okay. At around ,2 where I usually vape I collapsed the spring on it. I just got the regulated squonkers because I generally prefer regulated vaping, but I do still use my Reo with the Cyclone AFC and it's a great vape.
Sweet. I'm kinda interested in trying every kind of equipment out there. I like the idea of a squonker because I've just fallen in love with rdas but not the constant dripping at inconvenient times

Just don't get the Steam Crave Squonker. The board in it sucks! If you like the idea of a DNA75 board in a Squonker, I recently pre-ordered a Therion BF by Lost Vape. I'm still waiting on it's arrival though, due to being shipped from China.Sweet. I'm kinda interested in trying every kind of equipment out there. Can I ask a stupid question? I've always wondered what a DNA is and haven't really investigated the questionJust don't get the Steam Crave Squonker. The board in it sucks! Thats how i am with my RDAs. I have a velocity mini and a double vision and I'm planning on more. I think i want to try a bottom feeding atty 1st. Just to dip my toes in the squonk world. I have a feeling I'll never leave thoYes indeed, squonking has the dripping beaten. I had used Evod style tanks to avoid the dripping for quite a while. Then, saw a video by Mr. Todd explaining squonking. Right away I knew I needed to try it. Got a cheap kit and tried. I got hooked and then had to get my current kit. Still have a handful of Evods collecting dust, just in case. After about 3 months squonking though, not sure I could use Evods again.
DNA is a control board made by Evolv. The latest are the DNA200 (200 W) and the DNA75 (75 W). Both can be fine tuned with a Software called Escribe. These boards are exceeding in TC mode. Can I ask a stupid question? I've always wondered what a DNA is and haven't really investigated the question

I saw pics of the therion squonker. Looks sweet I'm going to grab 1 once the price drops downJust don't get the Steam Crave Squonker. The board in it sucks! I've heard that they look better in the pictures than they do in the hand.I saw pics of the therion squonker. Looks sweet I'm going to grab 1 once the price drops down
Just a mosfet and zenner diode setup right? Just enough wiring and cheap switches to break after a month. No vv etc to justify circuitry though.Oh on another note if you are looking for a tiny squonker and don't need more than 50w check out the Pico it's like $20
I heard that too. Bodgily glued on leather has bubbles evenI've heard that they look better in the pictures than they do in the hand.
Yeah, my "leather" stickers were bubbled up and peeling away at the edges OOB. Also, the fire button "sticks" occasionally. So far, I haven't had problems getting it "unstuck". In quotes because the button doesn't seem to actually stick, it's more like it triggers the board to just keep firing until you press it again. If this is the case, it can probably be fixed with a firmware update. My main concern is that IF it gets perma-stuck, and the safeties don't kick in, getting the battery out before it vents is going to be a real issue.I heard that too. Yeah, i don't mess with tanks now...minus the Limitless plus I'm waiting on ^_^ I'm so geeked about it!Get a reo or a sunbox e9 and you'll never need a other mod or go back to tanks

I tend to stay between 70w-90w but I know your build has a lot to do with the wattage sweet spot. Are there dual battery squonkers?Oh on another note if you are looking for a tiny squonker and don't need more than 50w check out the Pico it's like $20
Yes dripbox 160 is a double battery 160 w squonker
There are quite a few dna 200 squonkers out now but they are pretty expensive. The 160 is around 40 so it does give you plenty of power for a good price.Oh yeah, I knew that lol. I saw a 60w dripbox on sale for $20 but for me, 60w is too low :/
I just did exactly this with my Leviathan. Spend 50 at MFS, get a free IPVD2. Sitting now with dual 26g @ 0.4Ω, 13 wraps. I was going to do 28g, but the 10 or so wraps wouldn't bridge the posts. There are quite a few dna 200 squonkers out now but they are pretty expensive. I want a smaller squonker for my mini rda's to run duals at between,.2 and. 4 so I don't need more then 50w, but I want a chip in it.
I have a Reo and its great but the are about $170 - 215
I ordered a Coppervape from focalecig and its only $30 and no circuitry
Fasttech also has them
You may want to start with this

Thank you! Yes, that really helps I got an RDTA but I think I still want to try a squonkerNot sure what wattage exactly I'm using off the Reo Grand clone presently. I have 28 awg Kanthal dual coil build that nets 0.8 ohms, that's 10 wraps around 2 mm inner diameter per coil. I do not really do a lot of sub ohming, normally trying to stay at 0.6 ohm or above simply as a matter of caution.
Kind of happy to not be concerned over wattage/voltage/Temperature control. I push the button and get vape. Temperature control's biggest touted advantage is avoiding dry hits. I avoid them anyway by squonking every 4-8 hits off the rda. You start to learn a "feel" for when you might get dry hits and when a battery "drops off". Also properly wicking the rda helps avoid dry hits and your choice of wick material.
I belong to the happy church of Rayon wicks. Rayon gives off no taste, your juice vapes untainted. Plus, you can vape Rayon nearly dry and still not get a dry hit. All of the above is personal opinion/preference. You can do what you finds works for you. I'm not preaching or "telling you what to do". This is what works for me, take what you need, leave what you don't.
Not sure if we can still get these or not. Granted it is only a Grand style and only in black but it is about a fourth of the cost of an authentic. That noted I'm not sure if the clones are on par quality wise with the authentic ones but for my use over the last one to three months they seem sturdy and durable enough. And in posting, this I'm reminded to apply some Oxgard when I next change up batteries.
I have one and its a cheap imatation of the reo, I had to replace most of the original internal parts with reo parts but you can tell the difference
I have a coppervape and really like it,,worth the money
I have a couple of Coppervapes landing from Fasttech in a week or so and couldnt resist buying a used authentic Reo Grand today. It seems many owners of both prefer the CV, so it will be interesting to compare.Well, I'm awaiting an activation email from the Reo site now. Got a bit of windfall and planning to replace some of the internals as well. Might ponder getting a coppervape also.

I wouldn't mind grabbing a clone Reo as well, but FT is sold out of all Reos and I'm not sure where to buy one that isn't crap.
Any recommendations for good quality Reo-alikes?
The ones on Fasttech were all I was aware of being around. Doctor Spanky, @Hank F. Spankman, might find others although he might be as clueless as me.
Gear Beast did have them it seems but are out of stock.

This is hogwash. A .2 build on a BF atty on the OG Dripbox is a damn good vape
Looks like a good trucking rig. Compact enough to toss in a shower satchel & carry in a shirt pocket. I also see that as you grip it, it naturally fits ergonomically for squonking on the go. That's it, "I buy amplifier." Think the plain old single battery one will suit me better than a monstrous two battery one. Seen a few vendors with them for under $30, fairly sure Fasttech will have them for a little less than that if need be. I got decent toppers here too, not like Velocity clones will go out of style.

Hell yeah! I'm still learning my builds. I use the vape tool app and an ohm reader and its a great help. I'm actually running my SMOK Alien at 67wThis is hogwash. A .2 build on a BF atty on the OG Dripbox is a damn good vape
