Ciao all,

Only been vaping since mid-August, after 30 years of smoking.

Never been a designer, but I've already designed 2 mods in my head, both with the electrics already built, and now I have the metal and wood to make them, once I have the tools and courage (and money) lol!

First mod is a triple atty, unregulated, hopefully with a battery setup that is series/parallel with a toggle. Toggle: atty 1, 2, 3; series or parallel batteries.

Ahh, my brain is fried, all of these ideas, but need so many tools. Jointer, milling machine, lathe, router.

And I live in an apartment. Could be fun:)

The secret is to surround yourself with beautiful things.
I think that's confusing cause and effect. It's something you have to find within yourself, first. After that, taking it and channeling it into something is only natural. Everyone has something beautiful inside them that can't always be seen. You have to really look for it. Or maybe you allow it to be seen so you can catch its reflection. But whatever the means... ...once you find it within, you find yourself surrounded by it. Your thoughts and behaviors shape your surroundings and perception thereof. This is why one person can see beauty where others only see tragedy and misery. "Life is what you make of it." is a cliché for a reason. It's about how you choose to see things and how you wield that perception.

Series/parallel is tricky. Good luck! Though it sounds like you'll have a blast regardless of what happens ;)

Honestly, I think maybe don't get too elaborate with your first build. I know you're enthusiastic (and that is awesome to see - I love it,) but it's okay to start with something more within your scope... ...something you can easily work out. Even the classic, no-frills, dual-parallel billet box will make for a satisfying first experience. Even the simplest, easiest builds you can do still teach you things... ...often things you might overlook during larger projects.

But don't let me stop you from doing what you want to do. I just think that your dream box will ultimately be better if it isn't your first box, you feel?

It was so cliche. I probably saw it on a motivational poster and it stuck with me.

When I was young and arrogant, I remembered a line from Keats and tried to make it my own:

Beauty is Truth, Truth Beauty,
That is all Ye know on Earth, and all Ye need to know.

Over the years, Beauty, Truth, God, Love and Life all started to get mooshed together, such that I literally saw "all the good stuff" as a life force. I've since removed God from that equation, which has been very enlightening (and very liberating).

I've removed booze, drugs, and nicotine from that equation, too...but oh boy, that is hard! Killing God is easy compared to killing my altered mind.

There is something Beautiful in *almost* everything, depending on your ability to see with bigger eyes.
