Brand new Vaper a little overwhelmed!

Hey. I just bought my first kit. I got the Joyetech mini cuboid. I would like to quit smoking and but I enjoy it! womp womp. I want the best vape for me but I feel overwhelmed with having options that I don't know how to use.

I'm doing mtl on 13.5w with a 12mg liquid, seems ok sometimes a little harsh. my question is about temp control and if it would make a difference. Or what settings can you suggest for me to try. i don't care for clouds (right now), just a smooth vape.

I've YouTubed all day but still can't understand temperature... please help.

Oh men... you are asking a lot...
But here's what I can suggest ,
Don't worry too much on tc until yofu are 100% done with the stinkies...

I'm pretty confident I won't be buying anymore cigarettes after the investment I made today. Does my setting right now sound right? I hate feeling new!! Lol

If 13.5 watts works for you, then stick with it...
If 12 mg is too much, cut down on nicotine...
I was a newbie,all vapers here were newbies, I'm still a newbie, I still ask questions my self...
going back to ur set up, if that set up keeps you away from cigs!!
Stay there, and adjust ur NICOTINE to ur needs!!!ask

Congrats on your decision stop smoking. If 12mg nic makes you alittle dizzy step down just alittle. Read up on your manual about temp control. You cant just set your mod to temp and start hitting the fire button. Important you have the right wire and that your mod supports it. Take baby steps it dose get overwhelming. Iam still learning something new everyday thats what I like about vaping never gets boring.

Well I'd like to say CONGRATS

on your Vaping Journey! As for the Temp Control, I'd wait till your 100% Sure on Understanding everything. Small Steps are the BEST, rather than taking huge jumps

.... As for your nic level, I'd say take it down some! My ? for you is, as I ask all that come to the shop. How many packs a day did you smoke? Also what brand? *Yes this makes a difference* Because 95% of the time, the nicotine level I suggest based on those questions work with the customer

I would smoke anywhere from 5 - 10 smokes a day. I used to smoke 'specials' I guess that would fall in between regular and light. I tried to tell the guy that I don't smoke strong cigarettes and he still advised 12? then when I told him it was harsh he mixed the rest of my bottle with 0.

you are on the right track - keep in mind that ultimately, it is ALL about finding what works best for you

cut yourself some slack, remember to breathe - on the front end it is kind of overwhelming, but you'll find your feet... to me, based on what your smoking habits were, 12mg nic seems high, especially on a sub ohm coil (cuboid mini has either a .5 ohm or .6 ohm coil?)

Due to what you've mentioned, I'd highly suggest 6mg

I've ONLY recommended 12mg for ppl that smoke at least a pack a day!

The one that's in there says Clapton 1.5. he did add zero to the rest of my bottle to 'water' it down.

12 mg nicotine may be ok for you.

PG in your juice gives throat hit and carries flavor better than VG. The higher the PG the more throat hit. I'd be willing to bet, you are at 50/50. So there will be some "harshness" to it.

Anyone who stops smoking to vape, will experience coughing and a bit of harshness when you first start. Not an uncomfortable amount, but it's there. It goes away after you quit smoke and instead vape, in about a week.

Welcome! Harshness will die down some over time. You will get acclimated to it

I wouldn't worry about the temperature control mode on the your Cuboid mini, I used Variable Wattage mode so you can set a certain wattage and be done with it. You can lower the wattage for inhales that aren't as hot or raise it for in the morning when you need more nicotine. Mornings were the worst for me because the first thing I did was coffee/cigs and out on the porch I went.

But yeah, stick within the wattage margins that your coil suggests and you should find a happy medium that you like. I have the cuboid box and its a pretty decent little box, i wouldn't be surprised if the mini was just as nice

Welcome.. and we were all noobies at one point. LOL I actually won a mod for my noobie story in another forum. How the vendor let me try his tank set up and I nearly choked to death and he laughed his ass off.. lol.. But then vaping isn't smoking and I had to get used to the vapor. If you find 12mg harsh you can either up your VG to an 70vg/30pg or 80/20 blend OR drop your nic down to 9 or 6 mg and maybe vape a little more for a few days. Don't worry about TC, at least until your taste buds reset from smoking. Worst part is your sense of smell though.. after a couple weeks you will be able to smell a smoker 20 feet away and think.. OMG.. did i smell like that???
