Ehhh part of the job issue is the economy, that can't be argued.
The economy is tanked because; as a nation we rode bubble after bubble. When the bubbles finally bursts our policies gave away the country in exchange for 'safety nets', political correctness and a giant asd line of credit.

Our economy is in trouble because we lost our tax base. We lost our tax base because we don't manufacture anything anymore. That happened because our politicians sold us out through NAFTA and K street. This country needs to start working again. We need to level the global playing field. We can not survive just being middle men an not actually making anything here.
These spoiled little buttercups are acting this way because they grew up thinking everyone wins. They had participation medals and 6th place trophies handed to the them their whole lives. They have no concept of winning vs. losing.

The harshness of reality and the actual world has been kept from many of the buttercups, now reality has dumped a load on them and they are starting to realize that sometimes they will lose and that Mommy and Daddy, or the Teachers can't make it all better.
I'm a single Dad and I have two boys ages 8 and 12. I can't tell you how hard it is for me to teach them how to win in today's day and age. The Bullshit they are taught in school and in sports is fucking mind boggling.

It would be nice to be able to point to one thing that explains why the US is in the place it finds itself today. Sadly, the genius behind the American system was always compromise. One could argue that compromise is dead now. If it's not dead, it sure is coughing up a lot of blood.
The disparity in the distribution of wealth in the US would probably come the closest to the single simplistic explanation of our problems. I do have to wonder how invested a billionaire is going to be to ending this plutocracy we live in, but hey, hope springs eternal.

A few thoughts on the protesters: Watching and reading about the protests, many violent, has me laughing. Yes, Laughing. The Main Stream Media is doing exactly what is needed to give the new President a mandate for law and order. The protesters will protest, perhaps fucking up Thanksgiving by blocking airport access and delaying/stranding travelers. The public will tire of the crap and seethe at the seeming lack of police enforcement. The MSM will fan the flames and continue to dig their own graves as the public gets more pissed off at imbalanced and corrupt news reporting.
The riots and protests will slowly die off, perhaps a big one at the inauguration, the protesters better have lawyers and a lot of money because federal law will be used against them, federal felonies.
What makes me laugh is that the media is giving president-elect Trump all the negative attention that got him elected, they are like **** addicts, they just can't stop. They haven't learned their lesson yet. All the protests and riots will do is coalesce support behind the President to address it and take action.
