Not pretty, but first attempt at a braided coil. Used 3 pieces of 2x28g twisted Kanthal A1, 4 wraps, 0.35 ohms on my COV Wraith sqounker. Bacon bits wicking. Excellent flavor and vapor at 50w, huge clouds and still great flavor @65-70 watts.1480103094190-1668048473.jpg

What atty is that? I really like the clamps for capturing the leads, but noone around south Georgia seems to carry any.

Stupid clothes pin. Doesn't want to run with the stagger. For the weight method do I just tie a fishing weight and do the loop the whole way???

Look at mine. See how I leave one side naked? That's so the teeth lock on the bottom. Before I did that it would spin off eventually.

I clip it on so the part you squeeze is towards the ground and I hold the spool over it. Before I was doing it so I could hold the spool like I normally would bit the weight of the clip would bounce the wire.

You can loop the whole way but you need the swivel lower than the drill or the wire will sag and the clapton won't carry the weight back up. If your spool wire isn't at the exact same angle the entire time your gaps can be off.

I've used usps for everthing vaping related. Never an issue for my packages. My macro was sent via ups. Then this happens:

I live in KY btw.
From Florida to my back door then to New York. Ugh.

Lol.
I'm still trying to stagger fuse over 0.3mm but the frames and the ribbon always end up in a twist. Like the frames keep pushing the ribbon out.
They fuse perfectly as far as the spacing goes but I can't keep the ribbon in there.

I'm thinking about ordering some magnets and spool tamers off ebay. Are neodymium magnets too strong?
I found some 25mm x 5mm round ones that are perfect but I'm afraid they might be too strong.

Try your local hardware store first. Like mom and pop places. Just ask for magnets

Your closest home depot will have some too

I live in a small town but my hardware store or tractor farm supply may have them. Thanks, I don't even bother looking there anymore but magnets are pretty common so it's a maybe.

If the wire being used to fuse everything together is to heavy this can happen.

It's 38g or 36g. I think I know what the issue is now.
I got a new (used) drill today!
Fast enough for clapton, slow enough for staggering, good chuck, ball bearings, no cord and three batteries!

I have Makita, Hitachi, and Dewalt cordless drills in my truck, have used em all to make some coils but they all sucked, claptons n fused claptons were no problem but I couldn't do anything else because of the chuck, bought a $17 POS 18 volt from Walmart with a chuck that is more suited to what I needed and never looked back, multi cored builds got much easier

Well my $30 AC drill from Walmart works great for any clapton but the chuck is crap and there is no slow. My Rigid is perfect but the chuck only closes to 1/4" so it takes a ton of binding to make it bite. It's the only drill I had that was sensitive enough to stagger fuse so that got old fast.
This one has a better chuck than either and it goes pretty slow. Got it for $35, listed at $60 or $70.
My buddy said walmart has them in the arts and crafts section. However I'm not totally convinced it's the paperclips that are failing.

The last time I used 50g for staples I got through about 3/4 of a 10" stick before it snapped. I just came back in from the other direction and the coils ended up perfectly fine.

Very nice to you too sir! I splurged a little and ordered a spin lt this morning :) I'm on my last pack of swivels I got when I first started spinning and all the rest have seized on me.

I was thinking of doing a single coil of the same thing on my Theorem for the NC. Curious how it will vape.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
