This is to all
What batteries are yall running?
Usually run 25r, had a pair hg2 to try.
Was working on a releaux 2/3 with the check battery problem, needless to say after soldering new leads, there was a failure in the board causing an instant drain of only one battery. It killed one 25r and one hg2. So now I only have one married pair.

I've got 10 25r's :)

I use hg2s. There is evidence that vtc6s are slightly better though.
Best place to buy authentic batteries:
imrbatteries.com
Great prices.
That's who I'm going to buy from. Going to buy 10.
Just didn't get a lot of time with the hg2

They are great batteries for regulated mods and parallel mech mods.
If you're ever in the market for another triple battery mod the Lost Vape DNA250 is awesome. Very small for what it is and it has a 2 amp charger. My friend has one and I've wanted one every since.

The mod was free, received it broken after reading about the issues. I'll wait for my lipo dna 250 build :)

Plan on building a triple parallel too

I have 6x VTC5's and barely got 6x LG H2's.. might be a dumb question but are the VTC4/3's better than the 5s?

It's a trade off, miliamp hours vs discharge current.
I'll leave this here

seriously... WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUC* is happening to my staple coils... ive made like 4ft tonight of 8x .4 wrapped in 36g and every single FING time theyre twisting and waving all the way down the length as i try to coil it.... the first time i tried i made a perfect pair and now its like im stupid now.... And the last 12 inches i just made i had less than zero tension on my wrapping spool and i cant find any other tips than that... Im getting sick of throwing my time, work and money in the garbage.

Some wire is stiffer then others, for stiff Ribbon I advise to clapton it with ALOT of tension, coil it the same way....once I notice the ribbon is this still I usually resort to other stuff like Kbee Ribbon...

I love Ribbon wire that I can coil without any clapton, like KBee for good reason...Ive had too many staggertons and variants destroyed at the coiling stage due to that crap and I wont have it anymore...

Alright thanks for that raymo... The only ribbon ive used so far has all been kidney puncher, mostly .4 but a little bit of .3, all kanthal... Ill try it that way once im un-frustrated enough to bind up another core

.4 N80 from KP seems alot like .5x.2 Ribbon when coiling....can be crazy difficult even when its claptoned tight

I'm glad you brought this up. My 16 ply staliens failed in the coiling process. Would have been better with a vice.
They would probably work but they aren't perfect so fuck em.

Helix staple stagger I'm working on. Just a trial to see what I'm in for:

The last one was 0.4, 30g and 36g.

This one is 0.3, 32g and 38g.

I really can't wait till tomorrow so I can make a real attempt at some coils.
Very nice man. I've been practicing helixes so I can eventually do this build.

In the meantime, did another enigma. Finally found one that I enjoy dual coil. 2x30gka1/10x.3ka1/2x40gss316L stitched with 40gss316L at .11 ohms

Did u do the same build in the augvape so you can get a good tell on the flavor/airflow difference since different builds will change it?

So the kb wire is good stuff? I was wondering. Since kingorchid doesn't have .4
Was going to try theirs. Have some tempco and I don't like how it's spooled. Can't straighten it on the spool without it slipping under itself on the spool

That's odd. My temco spools don't even need to be stretched.

When I got my 600' spool from raymo that was the first thing I did. Huge mistake. Don't ever pull against a 600' spool of ribbon without getting the tension away from the rest of it.

So I'm having a problem doing long runs of helix. It is impossible to keep counting all the ridges! It's very hard to tell if you're keeping the angle true.
Edit:
@aspr
Coil Society has the best ribbon per dollar if you get long spools. Raymo beats their price but if you want 250' CS is the way to go.

Master of Clouds Ribbon on Ebay is fantastic Ribbon Also...Can Be stretched but most of the time its not necessary, its shiny and KP "like" but its not stiff when coiling. Comes in .4 also and is cheaper then most other Ribbon brands, 100' for $6ish.

@aspr I will be using the same exact builds and multiple builds to compare them, I use a standardized method when doing these comparisons and usually I like to keep it simple and use what most people would use in them, this is just one of the "more advanced" builds I will test...round wire, staples, framed staples and aliens will all be tested and graded.
Its been a while since Ive done a comparison or review though...

Highest voted builder on IG so far....would be awesome if I was actually voted high enough to be mentioned
Don't take it to heart. I've found that the most popular vendors, reviewers and builders are very often not the best...especially on the reviewers. The problem is imo that the average person is just following someone else's opinion.
Mikes Vapes is one of my least favorite personalities but people love him.

For reviews, I'm a Grimm Green guy. But, you are one of my favorite builders of all time ray! My vote goes to you

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

DJLsb is the only one I'll watch just because he can fully test them and he's willing to turn down swag to tell the truth. The 213 thing sold me. Lol.

I follow him religiously as well. I watch him, Grimm and Twisted420. I like to have more than one opinion before I make a decision on my gear, and each will find different things that are good and bad. But, those are the big dogs I keep an eye on.

Can someone tell me what this is? Or if it even has a name? I swear i just built this randomly and it's actually a really nice coil
It's a clapton'd clapton from the looks of it. Try 22/32 or 34 and fused 24 with 26g or higher. Awesome coils and easy to make.

I was trying to make fused claptons, so i took 2 strands of 28ga and wrapped 32ga around it, but it was staggered, so i tried to put another strand of 32g but it still left a gap, so i took 24ga and put it in the gap and that was the result.

28g isn't robust enough to fuse with 32. You can clapton it with 32 but getting a good fuse is unlikely.
But since you used a piece of 24 on the wrap it is probably part of the circuit so you may have made the first clapton where the wrap actually had an effect on the load.

It's vaping like an absolute champ, reading in at 0.48 ohms and giving some of the best flavor I've ever had, the vapor production off this one coil is more than I've ever had off a single coil build, i wish i would've made 2

Got the Goon LP Clone today....its funny that the clone came out before the authentic and the only differences I can see comparing to pictures from my friend on the Team_Goon are Oring Color (Black version should have Red Rings), Clamps are polished (Should look casted/grainy), and the serial/lettering on its underside are deeply engrave (Should be painted/lasered on)

I would say the quality of this certain clone is pretty high, Ive had authentic goons that were lower quality....
The airflow is loose and smooth and easy to adjust.
The Juice well isnt crazy deep but its about the same as twisted messes rda. From what I see its squonk friendly!
The post system is massive and takes a large amount of the chamber up, after you install your coils there is just room for air to slip around the coils and come up to your mouth....this and the shortened stature makes it a awesome flavor rda...even with the airflow almost wide open the flavor is as good as the normal goon with 2 holes open but the air resistance is similar to 3 holes open.

Installation takes a bit of finesse but after the first time its pretty easy to build on, just make sure your leads are the needed length. You install the coils like a postless deck then pull them downwards and make them level with the posts. I think the bending around the clamps, as well as being secured to the posts gives a better connection as there are more contacting points on the leads.

It comes with a Ultem Comfort Cap and a preinstalled Tip, this clone can take normal Goon/Kennedy Tips too. The pin is made of copper and protrudes, so its safe to use on hybrids. I do warn that if you build low in this one you will burn your lips off if not using the Ultem cap, the cap is only sitting a few mm's away from the cap.

When I get the Authentic on hand I may do a fully orchestrated comparison, this is just what Ive gathered so far.
