So, I was absent from the forums for a while due to some rl stuff but whatevs we back. I see I missed out on some solid recipes but I've also been working on a few of my own! A little backstory: I've always loved vanilla custards for vapes since i started vaping over 2 years ago. I came up with this one and I'm really enjoying it, like really really enjoying it. This does contain diactyl/diketones so this is your warning!

Its fine as a shake and vape but if you can hold out for 4 or 5 days it really rounds out well, so here we go:

Caps: Vanilla Custard v1 6% (no i haven't tried v2 and don't intend to)
Caps: Simply Vanilla 3%
Caps: French Vanilla v1 2% (again, no i don't intend on trying v2)
Caps: Golden Butter 1%
Caps: Sweet Cream 1%
Caps: NY Cheesecake 1%
FA: Vienna Cream 0.5%
FA: Vanilla Classic 0.5%

This is a heavy buttery vanilla custard and I absolutely love it. Its so good with coffee in the morning lol... But anyways enjoy! I know I am :) :)

Hey @Deeks, I finally got all my flavors in today, and made a batch of this, and it is to die for! I can't wait to see how much better it gets after a week or two of steeping (if I can stay away from it that long)!:) thanks so much for sharing this wonderful recipe! I've found another ADV here!

Another yummy Custard, still gotta try this one.

I'll have to sub the CAP Golden Butter with the Old CAP Butter instead, for now.
As I see, the old CAP Butter has been discontinued due to the bad stuff, which doesn't bother me much anyhow used in small amounts.
But I see ecx has FA Butter now, which also warns about the baddies, probably from the Kitchen Magic line.
Might be a good replacement for those that miss the old CAP Butter flavoring tho.
Got the Golden Butter in my wish list for next time anyhow.

As a side note the CAP Simply Vanilla has been one of my least favorite, and least used, of the vanillas I have.
But I've got way too many to choose from, lol.
Have to try it in this first tho as maybe I can finally use it before it goes bad:headbang:.

But I see ecx has FA Butter now, which also warns about the baddies,

As does FA
"This flavor contains Diacetyl and/or related diketones. Not suitable for vaping. For further details see diacetyl page in Vape Heaven section

Suggested percentage 2-3%"
http://flavourart.com/en/store/flavors/sweet/butter-flavor/

At least it's PG based. ;)

Made a batch up today, now the long wait begins...
You might want to try a little right now. I can't believe how good it is shake and vape (vaped maybe 5ml out of 60), but I do plan on letting the rest of mine steep.

I actually liked it shake and vape as well. Then I let it sit for a week and didnt really change a whole lot so I shelved it for a couple more weeks and bam! Excellent stuff

The new version of CAP Butter (Golden) also has warnings. Does anyone know how INW Shisha Vanilla would sub for CAP Simply Vanilla? Don't have the CAP.

Edit: I'm going to try it with 0.75% INW Shisha Vanilla

Probably most Vanilla's would sub OK, just have to find the right amount.
I wouldn't be afraid to go 1% with the Shisha either though.

Well, had to do it, and yes it's quite good even at 24hrs.
Definitely an "in your face" Custard, lol.
I imagine it will only get better with more time...
I'm going to make up another batch in a few days and try to forget that I have it for about a month. It should be like liquid gold by then.:ejuice:

I made this recipe yesterday, exactly as you posted, along with 2 other recipes from here on VU as well as an original one.
I know you said wait several days, but I got into it this morning & I think it's going to be very, very good. I'm vaping a tank now & yeah, it's a little in your face, but I'm thinking after the custard, cheesecake & creams calm down that this will mellow out nicely. Glad I made 30 ml.

Thanks!

Glad you're enjoying it! Definitely a heavy in your face vanilla custard, I kind of got carried away on all the creams and such with this one and it does take a while to calm down a bit.

I kind built off this recipe and worked in some inawera shisha vanilla, biscuit, and cream cheese icing, so far its damn good even after minimal steep time. I dont know if it warrants its own thread but this is what I recently did up. Its 2 weeks "fresh" so Im still taking notes on it so I dont know if I would call it complete just yet.

Caps Vanilla Custard v1: 9%
INW Shisha Vanilla: 2%
INW Biscuit: 1%
Caps Golden Butter: 1%
Caps NY Cheesecake: 1%
Caps Sweet Cream: 1%
Loranns Cream Cheese Icing: 1%

Not bad, I like a sweet vanilla custard so its doin me quite well thus far!

Ok, so I'm 11 days into steeping my first batch & I tried it again- it's even better. Everything has calmed down & the notes are not as sharp. It's creaminess is starting to really come through & the taste is very good. I'm going to stash the last 20 ml or so that's left for another 6-7 days & hit it again.

Very nice!

At 22 days now & it's up again in my rotation this morning- VERY good! Like most juices with the custards & the creams, it requires a good steep.
I will be keeping this recipe on hand. Thanks.

I just wanted to pop in here and give a big thank you to Deeks for posting this recipe!!!

I have been slowly transitioning from store made recipes, to DIY. I needed something to replace my Charlie's Noble Custard, and have had a very
difficult time finding something that would work. THIS IS IT!!!

I love this recipe. Thank you so much for posting. ...and that was after only a 24 hour steep. I can't wait until my 120ml bottle is a month out.

The last recipe I need to replace is a really good cinnamon churro, if anyone knows of one.

Then I will have replaced al of my store bought recipes.

I love this place.

I'm into my last 120ml bottle of this, and it's about 2 months old, so it's very smooth. I'm about to panic as I need to get some more Simply Vanilla to make any more.

Does this taste like "Charlie Nobles"? I hated Charlie. Only bottle I actually poured down the sink. Maybe it was a bad batch, I usually love me some custard. Will be trying these recipes soon

Just reading some reviews on the Charlie Noble I would say it probably isn't very similar. I haven't personally tried it but people mention a touch of graham cracker as the crust taste. The Golden Custard I didn't add anything specifically to make a "crust note" of any kind so that could have been what was off-putting to you possibly.

Maybe someone with some more insight on the Charlie Noble will chime in. I wasn't trying to clone anything though just to throw that out there.

I need to make this. I have everything except for the French vanilla. But I think I can sub CAP vanillin or FA Vanilla Bourbon.

Okay, so I broke down and got some CAP French Vanilla. I'll wait 'til it gets here to make this.

Somehow Charlie's reminded me of taking a big ole chug of bourbon. Not the first chug but the second. The one where all that water comes up in throat........reading post wrote after........maybe its the vanilla bourbon. Im definitely trying ur recipe anyways.

Maybe it's the FEEL rather than the FLAVOR that gets my throat.

Yeah. I read an explanation once for why they call it that, but can't remember. Maybe @HeadInClouds can chime in if he has time.
