Smok "Baby Beast" vs. "Big Baby Beast"

Hello guys,

So I bought the Smok G-Priv kit and I really like it. The big baby tank got an amazing flavor compared to the Melo 3 mini, Subtank mini and the Cleito.

My other mod is the iStick Pico and I love the size of it, so am thinking of getting the baby beast tank which fits the 22mm connector. I want it because it has a smaller bore drip tip.

I know the technical differences between the two tanks, if anyone has both tanks, I would really appreciate if I can know if they are the same in:
1. Flavor.
2. Cloud production.

Thank you.

The baby beast and the big baby beast use the same coils.

The original full size Cloud Beast uses the larger coils.
Good to Know. I have 2 Baby Beasts and a big Baby Beast coming. A five pack of coils costs more than the tank..

Where did you buy the baby beast from? Am thinking of getting one for my iStick Pico.
Thanks.

Which coils are best for the Baby tanks? I got 2 weeks out of pre installed Q2. Thought flavor was nice but it was hard to get much of a hit. I was vaping it around 62-64 watts, above which it felt on the edge of dry or slightly burnt.

Also, the juice ports come half way up the tank on the smaller Baby. I was refilling it before letting it get lower, after using about 1.5 ml. Required? It went through 1.5 ml almost as fast as a dripper.

I've tried the Q2, X4, and T8. I prefer the Q2 @ 60-65w, airflow wide open. They all seem to need a full tank run through them before the flavor really comes alive. (I prime the shit out of them all, so it's not that) Since taste is completely subjective, all I can say is try them all, lol.

Speaking of the preinstalled Q2, anyone else had to remove theirs with a set of channel locks/pliers? Even my fiance, who screws everything on way too tight and has to unscrew it again couldn't get it off!

LOL no. I have 4 Babies and none of the pre-installeds were that tight.

One thing to be aware of though, make sure the base of the coil is pushed in tight. I put my first X4 yesterday, and the base wasn't firmly seated. It dumped half a tank outta the airflow before I noticed. Icky sticky mess. Luckily it was sitting on the counter and not on the alien.

Yeah I heard that you should make sure it's in there all the way, I was just taking it apart to see how it was put together, first hand. It was pretty darn tight so all I did was loosen it a bit with the pliers. I replaced it nice and tight and primed her up and then put it back together and filled it up. Hasn't leaked so I guess I got it in there good enough, LOL.

It's getting foggy in here, and fiance keeps borrowing it, I think he likes my new shiny!!! :giggle::giggle::giggle:

The only thing negative I can say about either is they sure use a lot of juice. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case though because I like them both.

I'll be interested to hear how that combo works. I have the Pico but looking for better tank options.

I got the baby beast on my Pico, it fits there nicely, and with the preinstalled coil (Q2) and a full 3ml tank, it gave me around 150 puffs on 50 watts and the LG HG2 battery started to show "battery weak".

I tried the Q2 on the baby beast, X4 on the big baby and just one complete fill with the T6. Still cannot decide which is best for flavor but I guess all of them are pretty much the same.

Since I've been using BB RBA core it will be difficult to go back to the pre-made coils, even though I have a bunch of them.
I'd guesstimate the flavor is near double with the RBA.

I have been using just the T8 coils since going thru the Q2's. I usually refill after It gets below 1/3 full. No dry hits yet, but you can see the juice get less and less after every vape. Carry a bottle of juice with you if your going out with one!
For flavor, I prefer the T8's at 60-65 watts.

So guys, out of all the coils available for the baby beast and the big baby beast, which one is the best for flavor? So far I tried the X4, Q2 and T6. I found the Q2 is the best for flavor... Any other opinions please?
And what about the RBA?

I'm with you. I prefer the Q2 for flavor. The T8 and X4 seem to bring out more sweetness from my juices. Too much, really. But on the upside, I'm using two T8's that have lasted thru 3 weeks of daily vaping so far!

I use the Q2/X4 in my Big Baby. T6 in my full-size. I think the Q/X make the best flavor, but the wicking on the full size coils is an issue. Much better wicking on the baby coils. T6 all the way on full size.

I agree, and I find the Q2 is best in flavor.
But let me correct myself, the Cleito provides an amazing flavor with the 0.4 coil. Unfortunately I couldn't compare it with the Q2 coil as I didn't have the Cleito 0.4 coil when I got the Q2 on the baby beast, and now I have the 0.4 Cleito coil but the Q2 got burnt! So I really wanted to compare once again to give a final answer.

Weird. I could never get much out of my 0.4 coils on the Cleito. The 0.2's initially were incredible. After my 3rd or 4th coil, the performance seemed to fall off completely.

Hehe that is really weird now! As my case is the opposite to yours! I still have a newly primed 0.2 Cleito coil and will try it soon to compare it to the 0.4.

Now for the baby and big baby beast, I will try to get one Q2 coil and compare.

I still haven't decided whether to get the Avocado 24 or Limitless Classic, or keep the Cleito. Am trying to find someone here who has at least the Avocado and the Cleito, or the Limitless Classic and the Cleito to compare in terms of flavor. Hope someone could help :)

I've also got a Joyetech Ornate tank that seems like an attempt at a TFV8 competitor. The two coils they make for it are like the T6 and Q4. The Joyetech T6 equivalent wasn't anything to write home about. Curious to see how the Q4's compare.

So, is the general consensus that the Baby and the Big Baby are virtually the same as far as performance is concerned?

IMO yes, since they use the same coils. I prefer the Baby for smaller/ single 18650 devices, and the Big Baby for dual 18650 mods. I have been using the RBA base that comes with the Big Baby. Easy to build on and works great.

That's exactly what I needed to know. Thank you, sir. I've got two BBs and while the flavor is very good, they're just a little wimpy-looking on a any two-battery mod. I think I'll get online right now and grab myself a big baby!

I have a bunch of both. My favorite is the smaller baby beast with the Q2 coil. I like the air-flow and flavor the best with that combo.
