Mixing lemon flavors.

Hello all,

I have really enjoyed mixing lemon aid flavors, but they take forever to steep. I have 200 ml that has been sitting for about a month and is still separating.

It's one of my favorite flavors and it is just taking very long. I mix them and then toss them in the crock pop for four hours and shake them every hour. And I also shake them every morning and night.

I was wondering if I got an immersion blender and blended it up real good if that might mix it up better?

Also I suppose its worth mentioning I do use two different vapes. My main one of a Smok TFV4 and I use 10% flavor 6% nic. The nicioteen I use is 50/50 pg/vg at 100mg/ml

I also use a Kanger Subvod for when I am travelling or snowboarding. The juices I mix for the sub vod are 15% flavor 10% nic.

Also I figured I should also let you know, I have made about four of five liters of E juice and it only seems to be lemon that gives me this problem.

Also the lemon flavor is from Flavor West.

Any thoughts?

Something doesn't sound right as flavorings don't usually separate especially after mixing & heating.
It sounds like you may have some that contain "Oils", which will separate, and are bad bad bad to vape.

Never tried FW Lemon but I'd be suspicious of that one, although it could be some other flavorings being used.

FE Lemon (from ECX) is a strong Lemon that won't fade much when compared to others.
FA Lime CP is another good one, but does fade some over time.
TFA Citrus Punch & FA Citrus Mix are also decent.

But typically "Citrus" type flavors don't need much steeping and taste better fresh, or out to 1 week max IMO.
So mixing up large batches of Citrus may not be the best option.
But you can mix up your base, PG, VG, & NIC in larger batches, then add flavorings after.
However I'd only make up enough to last for 1 week at a time.
And I think excessive heat might also cause flavor fading, but warming should be OK.
Heating is normally used for flavors that require long steeping, like Vanilla Custard for example.

That was my thought, too. I've only used a couple lemon flavors, so far, FA and FE, and neither have done this. I have a couple in my stash I haven't used, yet.

+1
So far, I've used FA only. Although the recipes I'm using with FA Lemon are shake and vape, they are better steeping for 24 hours, otherwise the Lemon is overpowering the other flavors.

Fruity flavors are almost always good to go immediately.
I don't know anything about FW's Lemon (I use FLV, TFA & FA), but I'd look into it before using it again.
Maybe you just got some old or bad flavoring?

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

Some flavors separate (none oil based) and it has nothing to do with steeping.

In general fruity juices don't require much steeping, a few days to none.

There is a line of Michigan made juices called shade tree and they're all lemonade flavors and they tell you to always thoroughly shake the bottle before dripping or filling a tank because they use real lemon extracts that will not ever stop separating out.... Just a fact of life with these flavors unless you go less than all natural

I have FW Lemonade (both regular and natural) and it separates. I don't think it's an oil in my instance... I believe it's the high alcohol content in it... Could be what's happening with yours?
I agree with the others that you should try a different lemon. Flavour Art, Flavor Express and even Capella are decent lemons.
