Yeah, I didn't notice that. I'm just trying to decide between it and one of the RDA clones. Hmmm.

Actually I make juice so I have lots of pipettes I could shove in there.

Im still sold on the new Limitless combo and the Augvape Merlin RDTA over the Azeroth and other decks...

Well Raymo thank you for the tips... spun these tensioned AF and they coiled stupid easy :) I was getting so frustrated with staples. 8 ply .4K/36N80 3mm ID. Now I just have to practice getting the first wrap of the coil to stop bending outward.View attachment 68779
I always put it back on the bit and pull slowly on that wonky wrap while turning the bit to slowly extract the wire....afterwards your left with a very clean coil.

The juice consumption isn't the issue, it would be having to pull the tail, refilling, and repositioning the tail so often. For casual tanks they would be great, for an all day tank it wouldnt. Atleast the Avocado 24 has a fill port but you sacrifice a loop on your coil. Genny tanks like that are great for mild to conservative builds but once you get to a fused clapton or more they just aren't practical due to refilling, regardless of the fill method IMHO

What I mean is I think I could get a needle tip in there without having to pull the wick.
I could drill and tap a hole but that would probably be worse. Lol.

I might just get the RDAs. More compact and I know they are solid. There's a few promising clones on ebay if you refine the search to US shipping only. I'm not waiting a month again.

Is the combo deck good? After my limitless plus I'm leary of their attys.
Augvapes is nice too but I want the downward clamp.

I saw that thread. I found it interesting. I never even thought of that myself. Don't get discouraged bud. Raymo is right though. Trolls are everywhere sadly

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

You'll be happy. I've seen 4 SSFCs in one with the legs in good shape. Still flat even.

You need one for staples. Either that or bite one end in a vice. It needs to be tight the whole time and your wrists don't swivel. If it's not tight the cores can fold over in the wrap or the whole thing can flop over.
If you get a jig, it needs to be a V4. The V3 doesn't have the slot. I'm sure there's another one out there but I've never seen it.
That is exactly the problem i was having with all my staples, until last night i wrapped one with as much tension on the wrap as i felt I could without breaking something, and it ended up wrapping clean by just pushing my thumb against the bit just like i wrap a FC and they came out almost perfect

I kinda wish the Doode RDA had the Collets with flanges that locked them into position...lead pull when tightening is what killed it on my "want list"...Squidoodes own video on installation shows how difficult the design actually makes it....

The Limitless combo....I really want it but Ill end up spending money on every deck for it if I get it, I love options...look at all these decks for it! Not to mention there will be more Airflow Cap and Tips being released soon..
$7 for each deck but think of it, a new RDA/RTA for $7, for up to 12 RDA/RTAs...

Also you can get a RDA base for it or use Premade coils for it on the go...Even use the coil head in the RDA base for people who can build but want to try a RDA experience!

WHOA this is sexy.... How do you do the indentation? do you have to make like a 4 core and then remove 2 of them?

https://www.instagram.com/p/BMXyXG_DZkj/
You make a normal length of wire and remove the center cores then lay the length down and then lay what ever your indenting just over the gap and hammer it. The gives it the "indented look".

Excell is one of the people on my team, thanks for checking him out

Here is another Indented Build by Mind_Forge:

So I've had this ribbon from KP for a little while and finally decided to give it a try. Simple 3.0mm, 7/8 wrap, 0.22Ω build. I tried it in the AV Able clone, and I gotta tell ya, this little thing rocks! Still haven't tried it on a parallel or reg. mod yet, but for a single 18650 build it vapes surprisingly well. Almost zero ramp up time.

The wire itself is quite springy. The coil on the left was the first try, and the one on the right is (obviously) the second.
Once I change my swivels to something brand new, I'll give it a Clapton wrap and see how it compares. I can see this stuff wanting to twist quite easily without brand new swivels. Maybe some graphite for the Spin LT while I'm at it.

Was thinking of getting all the square wires for Staggerton variants....would make it much easier to use that as a core and stagger it :D But that shit is expensive!

Yeah, it ain't cheap. I threw caution to the wind and Claptoned some with 38N. No twisting. :D Pics in a minute after I mount 'em in an RDA.

Wow I think I made a mistake in my assumptions about this forum by all the positive vibes in this thread... I try posting something I thought was important in another part of the forums and just get mocked

This thread has been awesome. I came across this thread looking at builds on a google image search and due to the feedback amongst members, I started an account. My builds aren't the best, but I've had nothing but good and constructive feedback which is great coming from some of the talent in this thread.

The beauty of flat wire is that it is thin but wide, this means that you can use a huge internal diameter (hence a massive wick) for the coils and it will still fit your atomiser. Bigger i.d. but fewer wraps makes a great flat wire coil, and of course any claptoning unless it is with very high awg wire detracts from that...but as with all coils vape-wise it's a balance between attributes. Personally I prefer it naked, then they don't make great pictures...I don't vape pictures though so that is cool for me :D

Yup. I didn't notice any real difference between the Claptoned and non-Claptoned versions. It may just be in my head, but I think I prefer the naked version, also.

Ok, so I have been using nothing but SS316L for awhile now and really like it due to the fact I can run in power or temp control. I don't make intricate coils, usually just simple coils are great for me. But I am intrigued by the flat wire. Does it come in SS316L? If not, could someone suggest some flat wire for me. I usually build around .2 to .4 ohm coil and vape 60 to 75w. Thanks in advance for any help.

Its really good, You can only fit about 4-6 wraps depending on how big the wire is you use (Alien and fused claptons) but it gives a nice hot vape...the machining is beyond perfect..

Edit; If theyre new, then I call the Power Loader Coils.

Man, here I thought I created something new...back to the drawing board.

Just think, with all the time Ive explored new builds and tried crazy things...Ive only invented a single build....and Ive only seen one other person replicate it (@Coil_Lab)..

This wire is similar to a Enigma but with a alien design centered, raised and flat, it ends before each frame wire also, I call it Alien Plateau Wire

14705032_1349682878377216_6769527426738290688_n.jpg

Also, Im the first and only person to make a successful Alien coil with 50g wire.. ( Single PLY .3R/50g)

That really is a Helluvan accomplishment. I was able to do 46g once. It was a major PITA though.
I had a bet with @Tom__Forde to see if he can make a build with 50g...its been fun watching him get frustrated :D:D

In comparison Ive done nothing... Ive seen a Staggerton Staggered and fused with 50g....dropped my jaw and it still floors me.

Nope, thats his second attempt and he took a pic before he tried this time....both broke almost every fuse when coiled...He has done all 46g and coiled it but 50g seems to be the unicorn build

Just an idea @raymo2u that I had but what if you made something similar using 50 but add just a little of a larger gauge. Then coil and remove the larger gauge. Not sure how to make the wire look photo worthy but that's your cup of tea not mine lol

Im sure the 50g would still bust the slightest bit of stress tension and it comes apart quickly...Its so soft that the spots you hold when coiling it can break just from holding it tightly....Now just imagine how difficult it was to coil a 54g Framed Staple ;)

It needs to be hot when he coils it so the wire can stretch. Red hot.
But a torch would probably break it too. It would need to be slow.
Crazy though.

This is what happens when you mess up an alien, back it up and save that turd.

Never done that before.
