If you are someone that hates long rambling, blog like posts, exit now!

Lord knows with being on medical leave, I am bored out of my mind, and looking for something to get my mind off the pain I am in. So recently, after a news station in Columbus, Ohio ran a preview of a story they were doing about the cloud nine drug they showed a picture of an ego with a simple clearo. My phone rings, it's my mother.."Sis I want you to watch the news at 6 tonight.." I know mom I just saw the preview. "Well that looks like the first thing you were using before you bought the crack pipe".
Now let me just say that while my mother graduated in 69, and and grew up in the time of Woodstock and drugs being cool, she is completely drug illiterate, and the crack pipe comment is a joke between us regarding my MVP 2 and I clear 30s. This woman is extremely grateful that vaping helped me quit smoking, and will tell any smoker that will listen about how wonderful this stuff is. She has never smoked, always hated smoking and lost her parents both to smoking related cancer. Now back to the conversation...

After the news story appeared, she was fired up, you should email that station and tell them it's not right how they are portraying vaping, yes they should warn parents about dangers, but don't make all vaping look bad.

Fast forward to I have her listen to Russ on Click Bang. You know the episode the one when he calls the Michigan TV station and gives them hell about using Alpine Vapers eliquid in there story. He then goes on to discuss the situation with the 20 year old young man that owns the company.

Of course she thinks the story is crap and they shouldn't have shown the name of the eliquid but they should have pointed out that eliquid was one way in which this drug could be used. She then commented, that kid isn't helping himself, when I hear the word Alpine, I think of something high, and it gives me the first impression of a way of implying you can get high... I never thought of it this way.

But I guess after talking to a non vaper, yet someone that is grateful to it and does what she can to promote it, that people can take away the wrong idea about something from something so minor as a name. So no matter what we do we are always going to have those that don't understand that we are going to have to vapucate!

Again, this is someone that supports us, I have received several calls from people that I didn't know, but would start off the conversation with hello, I'm. Xxx and you don't know me, but I know your mom.

Oh no, I have more to add. It's actually interesting to me anyway, to hear her take on this stuff when she supports it yet to see how the media is perceived by her when it comes to this issue.

Even people I know that don't vape but aren't against it are confused by the media blitz against ecigs. I have to go into this long diatribe explaining "truths" about vaping and yet they still seem skeptical, even after given correct information. The media has gotten so powerful that even given the facts reasonable people are still apt to believe them and their rhetoric. A shame really, wait until their rights are taken away, then you'll have to hear their diatribe.

I give her credit, when something negative comes out she does ask, but hearing her take on it is interesting, it gives me an insight to what non-vapers think.

And like I said, she's a non smoker, and promotes vaping! Even her hairdresser has called and asked me how to start.

It's sometimes interesting to see the looks you get when trying to explain that much of what they hear is deliberately misleading. They start eying you for traces of tinfoil.:)

But, but, but...I saw it on TV or read it in the newspaper or saw it online! It has to be true, right?
