Hi,
I am looking for a realistic cigarette recipe to make an e liquid for my mate who is having health problems from cigarettes. I recently made head in clouds light american cigarette and found it to be too floral and woody for my liking.

I want to be able to put it in a mouth to lung device with high nic to replicate the feel of a cigarette.

Any help would be appreciated, I want to get it perfect and I understand everyones tastebuds are different so I will try as much as I can.

HIC's Light American Cig Replacement

2-2.5% FlavourArt Cuban Supreme tobacco
0.5% FlavourArt Black Fire
0.25-0.5% FlavourArt Burley tobacco
0.25-0.5% FlavourArt Oakwood

Try bringing the burley up to 1% it is dryer and less sweet than the Cuban - keep the oakwood at .25 or even less if that flavor is not 'hitting' right for you. I'd also maybe try adding .5 ish (to start) FA Virginia, and adjust upwards to 1%. The Virginia has more tobacco 'bite' to me, anyway and is closer to 'FULL flavor' cig harshness.

There are sooo many tobacco flavors out there, it really can be a bit of a journey to find the one that mimics what we want, def requires some patience. I only have some limited exp with tob vapes .. this recipe happens to be one I started with. Lots of others here tho that can and will help i'm sure. Good Luck.. it's a good thing your doin!

I suggest looking into making some tobacco extract. Google naturally extracted tobacco......

Nets can almost require RBA type tanks and drippers. Due to the juice being more gunky. But you can't get better tobacco flavor than extraction.

Ps.. you will never duplicate the tobacco experience as per smoke.... the trick is finding a juice that works. Many smokers find that to NOT be tobacco.

I have to agree with @HondaDavidson on this.

NET tobacco flavors are awesome. They taste, like an open pack smells. There is one flavor that replicates smoke, but I have not ever had any success with it not overpowering the other flavors.

NET tobacco flavors is the way to go if you are a die hard tobacco fan.

My sis has been vaping a caramel-ish tobacco lately. She tried one I mixed up - 2% Virginia with 0.5% Black Fire and seemed to like it enough to ask me to make her some. She said it tastes like a cigarette to her.

Thanks for the suggestions. Can anyone give me some pointers on building a recipe from scratch?

2nd the recommendation on DNB. Some of the inawera absolutes are good. 1-2% max. One example: http://www.bullcityflavors.com/tobacco-absolute-virginia-wg-inw/

Hangsen has some really good tobacco flavors as well. Another example: http://www.bullcityflavors.com/tab-blended-hs/

Hangsen is the best, period. If you're not going the NET route, nothing else comes close. After buying so many tobacco flavored eliquids over the years, and mixing my own in the last couple, nothing matches Hangsen. Most realistic out there sans NETs, and you can just use one single flavor and nothing else other than you nic, pg, vg.. Try Arabic for something nice and strong with great throat hit, or their Virginia for something more smooth and everyday. Their red USA mix is also really good. These are very full and flavorful and aromatic. You can get Hangsen from a few places, I get mine from RTS Vapes as they usually have a ton of Hangsen in stock in several varieties. Hope this helps. Theses are what got me to quit smoking Marlboros.

A friend's Dad has been vaping Hangsen RY1 @ 3%, 8mg 50/50 for a couple of years.
I get it from RTS Vapes for under $20 shipped for a 30ml of flavor.
To me it tastes almost exactly like a Marlboro/Winston/Camel light.
Nothing fancy just simple AF, cheap and accurate.

Exactly. I forgot about RY1, another good one. I think something about the aromatics of their extracts helps smokers, not sure what it is. Between that and a realistic, full flavor. Easy to make with just one flavor. I'm sitting here vaping my own Virginia right now. 7 years and vaped an awful lot of flavors but when it comes to tobacco, get Hangsen.

Yeah RY1 and USA Mix were pretty much the only flavors I cared for when I was new to vaping. If they were trying to make something that tastes how a fresh opened package of tobacco smells then they nailed it.

That is my impression on those too. Nice vape flavors, but to me, not replicating the taste of smoking a cig after lighting puffing on it a bit.

I have no idea what the OP means by..." feel of a cigarette" No or first puff flavor? The middle part of puffing on the cig flavor? The flavor got from the last 3-4 puffs? All different to me and IMHO not even a good blended NET would nail them all.

JimiD pointed me in the direction of Flavorah Cured Tobacco and that's what I suggest for the middle part of smoking a cig flavor for those who wish to mimic actually smoking.
