I really want an Atmizoo mod, but am confused with what I can use with an 18650 with or without a Kick. I really like the Lab and the Guppy, but shop.vaperev.com is so difficult to navigate for the extensions. Has anyone tried these mods, and do you guys like them?

I have not tried these but the Lab mod you mentioned does look nice. Upon reading up on it I found this link on their page.. .http://www.atmizoo.com/shop/lab-65/?lang=en#cap-guide. This is where they discuss their 3-mode bottom cap design. Part of the 3-modes are how it accepts different fuses with or without springs and a kick..

"If you are planning to use an Evolv Kick with the Lab 65 and a T16 extension, you should be aware that the Evolv Kick 1 / 2 modules are produced with a loose length tolerance: Units with a max length of 17.80mm (2.80mm oversized) may also be found. This means that with certain 18650 battery / Kick combinations, the Kick might not allow the bottom cap of the Lab 65 to close completely. In most cases, the Kick length issue can be remedied by configuring the device in Spring-Loaded Mode."

So it should work with an Evolv Kick (in most cases). These guys make a bottom cap that allows for adjustment. Usually a mech maker will include what is called a Kick Ring, which screws into the mod tube to accommodate the size of the kick. These guys took a different approach.

I personally would not make purchasing a mech mod dependant on whether it accepts a kick. I would use flat top batteries and a high amp fuse simply for safety. The Evolv Kick will go from 5-10 watts. You can get well over 10 watts without the kick in your mod.

Remember Watts=Power

Power = Amps x Volts

we know volts, it's 4.2v on a fully charged battery
so how do we find Amps?

Amps = Volts/Resistance

so let's say you roll a coil for you mod at 1 ohm. Or purchase one for the new protank III's?

Amps = 4.2/1
Amps = 4.2
Power = 4.2 x 4.2
Power = 17.64 watts which is well more than you'll get from a kick. Kicks are good if you simply using protank heads or any other pre-built coild head over 1.5 ohm.

Soon as you drop the resistance on the atomizer the watt's go up as well as the amps.

Make sure you figure out how many amps you're going to end up using and get batteries that cover that range and I would still even recommend using a resettable fuse.

Either way the mod looks pretty and I like it.
:)

Hope that helps.

Man that was awesome help... thanks so much. Is there an low ohm limit on the fuses? I have some of those but haven't been using them in my mech mods, just using safe vtc 4 or 5 batteries with safe builds

The fuses trip when the amps go over a certain limit, it doesn't detect resistnace. So the fuse will trip when too much current is passed through usually they trip around 7amps but it all depends on the fuse they are using, it might tell you on the fuse itself or look it up from the manufacturer.

Let's say you have a 7amp fuse

Resistance = Volts / Amps

4.2Volts = 0.6 ohms. So .6 ohms would be the lowest you can go without tripping a 7 amp fuse.
7 Amps

the lab and guppy are Atmizoo's first solid body mods and the model number of the lab is the battery size, 65 is 650 etc

the lab T-16 is the 16 mm extension and will fit a kick1/2

The guppy as it 's name implies, is a tiny pocket mod that accepts 16340 batteries only it is designed for ultimate portability, there is no extensions or kicks of this size available. it is not made for high power, but portability

I have 2 rollers, one with a kickring (that i dont even kick anymore) and I find the atmizoo mods to be superb quality and love mine with a KF@ ,8 ohms on top. usually vapes fine right until the battery is about ready to come out.

all of the Atmizoo products can also be ordered directly from atmizoo.com
parts, extensions, different finishes, manuals and video tutorials are there as well.
