Good, bad , insignificant? The only thing I really care about is can I use these with some modicum of safety in a mech at .5 to .8 ohms. .8 Ohms is really my lower limit, but knowing that they are safe at .5 gives me enough wiggle room to BELIEVE i'll be safe using due diligence in my vaping habits.Do you own them? Do they perform well for you? Are you concerned, or not, that Efest May or May not be re-wrapping other manufacturers batteries as long as They are reputable manufacturers? If the continuous amp rating is flawed, to what REAL affect does it impact your use. OK Discuss freely...:)

You will be fine with a 0.8 or even down to a 0.5 build is well within the safety margin. 0.5 should be about 8 to 9 amps.

They don't seem to have to punch my vtc5's have but I am hearing that you can't get those any longer :(

You could even run the resistance you want with an AW 18490 and still be within a safe margin.

More than ok I use the LG 25A's in my mech all the time to .3 ohms they are the same as the Efest 35A which do 20amp continuous and 35Amp pulse even with those at those modest levels you are way ok

The Purple 30A Efest is a re-wrapped Sony VTC4, no? 30A continuous, 60A+ pulse. More safe and powerful that the 35A Efest which is a 20A contiunous and 35A pulse (LG rewrap). Just a bit less capacity. This is the word on the street.:D

That's why I brought it up. I was able to pick up VTC 5's up until a week ago at a local b&m, although even then at exorbitant price.

yes but he is only vaping at .8 ohm he does not need 30amps match the battery to the need... I have all of them so I match them to what I am using them for

I'm all about using the safest battery out there regardless of my amp needs. Never know when a short can happen or when your china 50W mod mis reads your ohms and dumps 8.5V+ to a low ohm build. Both have happened to me and I feel like I'm very lucky I was using the safest battery. One time a stock kanger coil shorted on me to .05ohms. Thank God I had Sony's!!!

they are indeed the same cell, but eFest gets the cells that Sony doesnt see fit to wear the Sony wrapper. you see, batteries are only made by a handful of manufacturers, then they get allocated to many different suppliers. the cells get tested, then binned according to how they test. even if two batteries are "the same", one may have tested better than another and the better ones get the better bin location and theyre wrapped with the better company's wrapper.

I learn something new everyday thanks for the information

Well, I grabbed a couple of the 2100Mah Purple Efest's, and quite frankly I'm impressed. They stand up very well on a .8 dual coil build and seem to last as well as my VTC'5. Now that could be build vs Vdrop, as well as vape time. I normally don't let my batteries discharge past say 3.6 volts, so I can say that it is most likely a vape/time relationship. However, given the scarcity and price locally of Sony batteries, I would say that these are a reasonable substitute.

You think they are a great Sony sub, because they are Sony batteries!!! These are authentic Sony VTC4's in a purple wrapper! Glad you like. :)

Well, the previous batches have been confirmed, but dampfakkus confirmed the 30&35 Amp efest...stipulations on the 20 Amp 3100 mAh battery being a 6.8 cell... didn't match up with anything tested by them and other data they had, but it closely followed a protected li-ion cell's performance in the tests.

Plainly saying... do you trust a company that sells rewrapped cells, with distorted ratings, to always cell-edit-sale-lol you that same cell?

Thanks lefty..;)

How long until Sony can keep up with the demand for their acceptance tested and cleared batteries, and efest's demand for the tossed cells?-...that didn't meet Sony&the other company's requirements...edit-reword that to if Godzilla attacks their new plant in the Philippines.

Well I'm glad that " dampfakk" has his opinion, because he's obviously an internet expert. I only rely on the internet for technical data. Not that, I didn't ask for opinions and I'm sure his opinion is valid. But, really do you think that " dampfakkus" has inside information we should all be looking to for battery buying decisions? If you think that he has more information based on his direct interaction with the battery manufacturing industry, then I will most certainly listen to anything he has to say, Personally, I have found the purple Efest batts. to perform as well as The "Sony" batteries that I own

Opinion?

He tests the batteries... compares them to other cells.. it's a rather easy practice, and it works.

Several have been confirmed by other independent testers also..

So efest gets Sony batteries direct from them, no flaws, and rewraps them, and sell them for a premium? Edit- this being the case for all their batteries. Or are you saying they manufacture their own cells. Rip your fucking wrapper off.. there might be a god damn laser etching "18650vtc4" under it. Go get some heat shrink. You've proven 100's of people wrong that agree with dampfukus, along with "him," and your battery can be put back in a mod.

It's been known for years..AW, efest, eh, true/trust/I REALLY DON'T GIVE A FUCK fire batteries are rewrapped cells..thrown out by the manufacturer from not meeting their standards...

You need me to get Andrew Wong on the phone with you? I don't know what else you want me to do than provide that.

Put the 20 Amp efest on a voltmeter with a load... tell me what you think.

Jeez, get excited much? It's a discussion not an attack. First off I have a degree in electronics technology, which Is why I ask random questions on forums. I really think you're just defending yourself for no real reason. I didn't attack you, I just simply asked a question. Apparently, you have more than a normal amount of respect for this " dampfakkus" person, he must be a very close acquaintance. I'm sorry If I offended you. That being said, I don't think that I doubted that certain companies re-wrap other companies batteries. However I do think that much maligning is done by people that have little or no actual dealings with the battery manufacturing industry. That being said, don't you think that it would be better if someone from an actual battery company made a statement regarding their product than some random guy on the internet? Just sayin', you can have your opinion, but I wasn't attacking you personally. Whoa.......

I didn't take it as an attack... just in response to you responding to my post, in regards trusting efest..I got pretty worked up.

I haven't gone to sleep yet..and no I don't know "him." Don't know if it's a group or what..and I'm missing a certain thing that's usually around to calm me down.

Damn..sorry. Really showed my colors there. :)

No problems dude, just a discussion. I get that way myself sometimes ( passionate ) about something I want to relate. It's all good. It's the discourse and information that's important. All this being said, I think it's also important to go forward with some amount of personal observance.
