Anyone have any misfire problems with their Coppervape BF mods? Mine is drive me absolutely insane. Unscrew the battery contact, it fires for a couple of toots then I have to screw or back in. Sometimes I can press the tip cap of the mod to one side and it will fire. Heeeeeelp.

(Already tried searching the interwebs for answers. No dice.)
It has been suggested that the channel between the bore for the battery & the bore for the bottle in the lower section can be filed a little wider to solve that problem.

Yay!
Finally, a source for little blue screwdrivers! Now I can stop buying all those RDA's just to get 'em.
25 for $3.68

I have a billion allen keys now. Don't remember the last RDA I got a LBS with

@1rudedog has the fix for that. From memory, the positive leaf is too wide for it's surroundings, or the hole isn't low enough... Just need to file out the bits surrounding the positive leaf anyway

OK, Time for the rubber to hit the road.

So to speak.

As I stated in another thread, squonkers have finally started to get my attention.

The Kanger Drip Box 160 kit had my attention until I realize how freaking big it was.

Like most of us here, I have tried RBAs. Great flavor and vapor production.

I could care less about clouds, I am here for the flavor!

But, IMHO, RBA's for me are a complete PITA. I want something I can fill and go out into the world with and not have to take the topper apart and fiddle with it.

But I am not so lazy that I can't give a little plastic bottle a "Squeeze" from time to time.

Let's start with the Kanger Dripbox. Mod, bottom fed RDA for $36 Plus $&H.

Price point is A-OK with me.

After thinking this over, I would be happy with a single battery (18650) device that fits in my shirt pocket.

Non Negotiable.

The mod that I am using at the moment goes up to 60 watt's but with my single coil build on my Merlin, I rarely go over 30 watts.

Not at all interested in TC mods. I am a wattage guy and proud of it!

Also, don't give a fig about internal charging. But it the device comes with it in that price range, not an issue.

Also got a 50 year supply of Kanthal as my coils tend to last about 90 days.

That being said, my fellow brothers and sisters of the Vaping Underground Peanut Gallery, what would you suggest?

for a mech starter, coppervape

semi mech/MOSFET either dripbox60 or eleaf pico [debating the two can verge on old REO/provari wars]

regulated: inbox vt by H cigar, some quite like the dripbox 2 as well, but i haven't seen as much info on that

fatdaddyvapes sell RDA pins, but dennis has been quite ill, almost didn't pull through, so don't rely on them showing up in 3 days

I would highly recommend the original Dripbox. The atty that comes with it is pretty shitty tho

Thanks, yet too damn BIG!

I have plenty of desk top mod's and don't need another.

Gotta fit in my shirt pocket.

I am funny like that!

To add to the mix, I want Variable Wattage.

Also don't want something I need to modifiy to work.

Tool's and I don't get along.

Hell, I am pretty damn proud of myself just being able to wrap my own coils!

Prolly the connection between the screw on the bottom of the fire button and the copper strap going over to the 510 pin.

I have the Wraith. Really love it. The RDA is shit. I put a Tsunami on it and it's the bees knees...

I keep looking at the Wraith, but I remember some people here weren't too happy with the battery door and personally I'm not very happy with the CoV quality overall. If the one you have is working well and lasts, I really am happy for you.

Once the door issue was fixed (COV sent me a label to return, but I fixed it myself) its a pretty decent regulated squonk.

Once mine was slightly altered (I understand the new ones do not have the door issue, which was nearly that lining holding in the battery)

It's a little heavy, but looks terrific. I never vaped it much, but took it with me on vaycay and used it as my main driver for 10 days.

I say it's worth the price, considering there are so few regulated mods on the market under a $100 you can get from a U.S. vendor.

how did you fix the battery door?
Mine hasn't broken - but I also only use it occasionally...so I haven't opened and closed it very many times...it's still just super-super-tight and seems stressed...

RJ, the Therion DNA 75 works nice, and it's a tiny single 18650 mod. I bought one a few weeks ago, it works fine for vaping at low wattage. Here is a link to the mod, but I bought mine for about $100 during the holiday sales from a different vendor. http://www.vaporbeast.com/lost-vape-therion-dna75-dual-18650-mod-limited-edition.html

Supersoft types of bottles seem to suffer from the half full or half empty syndrome.

I picked up a fake FrankenSkull that includes a fake Supersoft bottle. The bottle is stiff compared to the real deal but seals well once I replaced the silicone tubing with larger stuff. The cap seals perfectly on this one. It squonks well enough, it seems. This little mod works astounding well for a POS work beater that cost pocket change. No leaks from anywhere. -The atty drains fine once you shorten the 3mm positive pin, and the fake Velocity posts make building a cinch. I needed to fiddle with the mechanical switch a bit to make it fire correctly. All good! :)

FT claims they put one in the mail in my direction about two weeks ago - we'll see

Couldn't resist - got one w/o atty for only $16 less the 15% off coupon

View attachment 71934 @UncleRJ, this should give you an idea of size for Pico squeeze, Dripbox 2 and Dripbox 160. Far left is the Pico, garden variety. Hope this helps :vino:

Yes it does and THANK'S!

While I like the size of the Pico, it does not offer VW and to me the RDA section, well looks kinda cheapo_O

ATM, I am eyeing the Kanger 80 Watt Dripbox 2.

Any thoughts?

And can other bottom fed RDA's be used with it?

RM2

gold standard RDA for squonkers for a long time. I drilled one out to 1/16 AFC, which is a breeze with brass cap, and ran triple twisted 32awg at 0.8ohm

This is a Marquis with a tank? The original still gets used from time to time...Veritas sees more use.

Yes there are many RDA which come ready to squonk. There's also a few different methods to easily convert many RDA to be used to squonk. I read you're desiring a VW which means a regulated mod. If that is your fancy the Dripbox 2 will probably suit well enough. I use mechs now exclusively it seems, avoiding the concern that a circuit board goes afoul leaving me stuck without a mod. That's only me though, everyone chooses what they want. :)

I could suggest the Narda for a good single coil RDA as an option. The Goon is a good RDA which can be made into one to squonk with, and only using minimal effort. You pull out its stock positive pin from the bottom of the deck and replace it with a capillary screw. Those sell for packs of three to five at merely a few dollars. I've tried the Hasthur RDA, while others might like it I am a bit put off by it & not able to say why exactly Velocity V2 are good RDA as well. There are others as well. A nice assortment for nearly every taste. :)

I picked up on these little things as well. I had to use an o-ring for the cap to get a seal going. I was lucky to have an extra Italian bottle to replace it.

Hey guys, here's what I've been squonking on lately.

qz108LI.jpg

I also have a Hadaly, GP Dripper, and Hobo v3.1 around. Does anyone know of a maker of series squonkers? I'm fine with single batt mechs for single coil RDAs but I'd love to have something that can handle larger 24g builds in the dual coil atties.

The Vaping Underground Peanut Gallery is second to none when it comes to help spending my hard earned money:bliss:

I just pulled the trigger on a Kanger 80 Watt Dripbox 2:vino:

Hell, I even broke my longstanding tradition of ordering mod's in either Black or Stainless and got the White one:idea:

Thanks for all of your help!
