Anyone know the shelf life of joytech ego c twist 650mAh batteries?

I was thinking of picking up a few extra ones but if its sitting on the shelf for 6 months is that going to be an issue?

Thanks, :)

Good Question I usually figure in 6 months most things will be cheaper in Vape Gear or a better model for the same price.

Foghorn... it truely depends on how much you use it. If you use it often... I'd say 6 months to a year... if you rarely use it... 2 years +
I have batteries that are well over 2 years old but they are not used every day... I have quite a few in my rotation.

Sitting on the shelf will not harm them... but I would throw it on the charger about once every 3-6 months to keep it active.

What about not storing batteries with a full charge? Does that mainly apply to removable Rechargeable Batteries? {as opposed to EGO Batteries]

I'd just keep them in rotation, switch out every two weeks. Once a battery gets completely discharged, there is a 50/50 chance you can necessitate it.

Yes... you wanna keep your Egos charged or they will lose strength over time.

Expect 500-800 charge cycles out of Li Ion batteries, more if you don't drain em to max safe cutoff level

http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries

An idle Li Ion battery self discharges approx 3% a month depending on temp, much higher in hot locations, so storing em in a car is very hard on them, cool/dry, but NOT too hot or cold. In a closet /drawer in a airconditioned home is good, but remember every month expect approx 3% less charge remaining in batt, a few cycles should restore it's charge capability, Li Ion doesn't have memory problems like NiCD or NiMH
