I've got the Rx200. But I need a new mod. I'm looking for something that's going to get better battery life than my Rx without changing my build. So here's the stupid question: Without changing my build, I'm never going to get better battery life with a two battery mod, right?

You can buy the most efficient mod out there and if you are doing super sub ohm builds and using high power I doubt the battery life would be that much more significant considering a 2 battery mod vs a 2 battery mod...You can find 3 battery and 4 battery mods as well as dual 26650 battery mods but it will always end up Low Ohms plus Big power = less battery life per charge.

Sorry to say but for better battery life you are going go have to to to Universal Studios, get an official Harry Potter Wand and pray it works.

Physics is a BITCH!

just get backup batteries, boom Problem solved:D

I mentioned this in another post but it pretty much goes like this: I have a rx200 that is just completely beat. Need a new mod. Vape budget is limited. I'm trying not to spend money on batteries as the three (married) that I'm running now in the rx are only a few months old. I had this reply typed up and then ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung. Take a guess what they tried to blame it on...

At first the nurse told me, with no evidence, that I "should stop vaping immediately". I asked her calmly if she had any way of knowing that vaping had caused this. She replied that she did not. Then I told her everything else I've tried , which has been everything down to hypnotism and that vaping has been the only thing that had worked. She changed her tune.

Get well soon bro !

Back home folks! Thanks for the well wishes. That was a strange experience. Actual Doctor that discharged me said to just keep vaping to a minimum for the next week but there is no need to stop vaping all together. Now it'll make it a little easier to wait on a mod and tank for the next week. That is, if I ever decide on a combo.

The Ijoy Maxo takes 4 18650,s....They also have a LUX mod that takes 2 26650's for power., Wisemec just came out with the 300x which takes 4 18650s if im not mistaken..Aside from some custom 6 to 12 battery mech box, that's about the best it gets as far as battery capacity.

Alright, I take it back. Now I'm open to a two battery mod. I'm willing to buy a couple extra sets of batteries. So what is something that's going to fit the Boreas (just ordered), does temp control well and doesn't break the bank?

I haven't jumped into the whole temp control thing but from what i understand the DNA chips do that the best...Sorry, but most of them will break your bank..The 75watt DNA mods usually run about $80 or more and that's for a single battery mod.o_O

Hohm wrecker g2. Does tc, can.be had for under $100 on vaporcube using their code. I also like the battlestar. Can be had for under $50.

I'm yet to really get into the TC thing too deeply myself. I've been pretty aware that the DNA chips are the cream of the crop, I just wondered if anything came somewhat close.

I just checked those out about an hour ago because of a post I came across in the For Sale forum. They look decent. I plan on doing a little bit of homework here when I get a minute. I take it you own the G2?

I have the g2 and the battlestar that I use daily. I have a slice on the way. The g2 is big and bulky but it works like a champ once you get used to it. The battlestar is also a great little mod.

No, that's my tester for new batches of juices. I just sit it up there to keep it out of the way.

It's not very pretty but I like that for the price it seems to be pretty packed with features and from what I've heard they're built pretty well. How well do 25 mm tanks fit? I was looking at the rx 2/3 but...
I haven't had any issues with anything I've put on it. I've got a tfv8 on it right now with no over hang.

For temperature control, definately the Hohm Wrecker....!!!

Might not be the sexiest mod, but it sure beats the hell out of the dna mods at half the price. Without having to use a PC.

For what you get it is a cheap ass mod.
This paycheck comes in, I'm picking up the G2 or the Slice. I'm kind of pumped about the way that these mods handle the TC stuff.

The battery doors on some of the Slices can rattle a bit. And the paint on some can flake pretty bad. My batt door is a lil wonky, and the paint sucks. Paint on the mod itself is good. But for 30 bucks, I can overlook it.

Vaping it right now with homemade alien coils. 3x26g Kanthol cores w/36g SS316L wraps @ 0.108ohms in the Aromamizer Supreme RDTA. 100W, 350°F, XXX mode, FSK tc @ 3.0.

It also has a 151W preheat setting to speed up ramp time on big coils, if needed. It really is a beast for a single battery mod. Be sure to get a couple of good 26650 batts. At full power it will drain an 18650 pretty quick. I have a couple of the Ijoy 26650's, but I hear the Basen is also good.

If you're like me, and want even more, of course go for the G2. Just don't get the last blue one before I get mine. LOL

Unless you can reduce your wattage with the build you are using, then no you aren't going to get better battery life I am afraid.
I must ask though, what kind of wattage are you running? I find the RX200 to last pretty well, up to fairly high wattage levels.

It isn't the most efficient mod around, but it still has 3 x 18650's so you have the benefit of the extra watt hours over a dual 18650 mod.

Are you definitely set on the build you have, or would you be willing to experiment to see if you can reduce the power a bit, to get better battery life?

Hey guys thanks for the replies. I've got to head to a doc appointment right now (for the lung) and then right to work. I'm running some gravy jobs tonight though so I'll be back here later.

For that price, the finish doesn't really bother me considering what the mod itself is capable of. I may actually strip it and have that brushes look. I was looking at those 4200mah 26650's they have over at kidneypuncher. I like the compact design of the Slice. However, I also do appreciate the "brick shithouse" quality of the G2. Decisions, decisions.

I'm always willing to change things up. I actually plan to. I've got the boreas coming in in the next few days as well as some new standard and clapton SS wire to try out. As of right now I'm running: Dual, 7/6 wrap. 3mm Id. 32/26 kanthal claptons. Comes out to .52ohms on the Rx. Vaping it at anywhere from 47 to 55 watts. Using the preheat function around 73 watts for .5 seconds. I typically take my first rip at 9 am. Vape somewhat heavily until 3pm. Once I get to work I take it down quite a bit until about 9pm when I'm sure the big wigs have all left. Vape moderately after that. I get home at 3 am where I usually have about 30% (rough estimate) battery left. I may just be trying to cheat physics here. Typing that out made me realize how much I actually vape. As you may have noticed, since I first posted this I've come to grips with the fact that I'm probably going to have to carry some batteries with me and I'm okay with that.

The slice is a nice mod but unless I'm factoring things wrong, a single 26650 isn't going to offer the same battery life as a dual 18650, definitely not a triple 18650. If dual 18650's don't provide enough battery life isn't a single 26650 going backwards a bit? There may be other reasons to get it, better chip etc but doesn't seem battery life would be one of them. Something to consider, the g2 may be a better options since at least it's dual 18650.

I now kind of plan on carrying an extra set of batteries for a new mod. Wether it be a single 26650 or two 18650's , I'm not sure. But yeah, if I was still wondering what I had been initially, that would be a leap backwards.

I love my slice but you're not going to get mulit cell performance out of it with a high demand build. It hits a ton harder than a single 18650 and you get a little more life out of it... like another 25% guestimate. I feel single 18650 is kind of done after 50w, higher than that and it's not the same vape as a multi cell mod at the same wattage.

The slice will run up to I'd say 80 or so watts before it starts lagging behind a multi cell. The bigger cell can handle higher amp draw before it starts to really sag. The Internal Resistance is much lower than any 18650 I've had too which is I'm sure partially why you can hit higher wattage before it sags too much. Hohm Grown cell, only have one 26650 so can't compare to others.

I don't vape much over 100w and usually around 50w builds (most of the time it's set at 101w and let TC do it's thing) so the slice is usually what I take with me for the day. If I'm running the boreas, I'll use a dual cell 350j chip mod around 120w but the boreas is about the only topper that I run where the slice can't keep up with the build but that's an at home topper for me anyway.

Once you update the hohm and figure out how to dial it in, you will love it. G2 or slice, just know the limitations of the single cell.

I too tend to stay under 100w most of the time. I love the compact nature of the single cell mods but I know exactly what you mean about having limitations. My Evic Vtc Mini. I love that thing but there's some builds that while considered safe, just don't perform well.

And by the way, I still owe you a jug of some DIY goodness. I didn't forget. Is your address still the same?

Lol, I totally forgot about that... strawberry custard or cream is what you were working on if I remember correctly :ejuice:

If you're usually under 100, the slice will serve you well and if you have access to a charger at work like me at my desk, it charges super fast so I don't bring a spare cell with me.

That boreas needs a hell of a build to perform as intended so that's a dual cell mod atty. I have a dual cell and wanted a single 26650 so I picked up the slice to try out the fsk chip. I'll pick up a dual cell from them if they tempt me with a new enclosure but I'm more than happy with the slice for 90% of my vaping needs.

Yep, same address :D
