Unfortunately there was to much competition in my area. I closed down but not still hope to open once again
"We sell all 1:1 clones at this store except for one brand name that we are authorized to sell. But they are ok to sell as genuine because they are usually made by the same factory, they are just not authorized. You are the first person to ever check the authenticity of a product since we've opened. Bring your tank in and we will look at it to see if we can help with the threads, other than that have a good day. ....Click..."
If they represented the Kanger tank as authentic then that is outright fraud. Pukes like this HAVE to be outed if there is going to be any confidence in local vape shops.

I pointed out to the local I was having an issue with that they were not the only authorized itaste vendors in the area.
I'm glad to hear things worked out well! It shouldn't have happened in the beginning, but at least it is being taken care of an is not the fault of the the shop being negligent.

I'm glad to hear you ran a decent straight forward shop. I'm sure some things can't be helped and shops do get bad items in. I'm glad you took care of it instead of passing the item onto customers.
Indeed, I've made a few phone calls today and have contacted a couple shops that are "close" by, in attempt to see if any other shops are affiliated with them in the area. Still more to do tho..
On a good note, I came across a newer "mom and pop" b&m today that was a refreshing surprise. The people were extremely receptive and highly against selling any item that was a clone as a genuine. In fact I believe it was stated they refused to sell clones period, due to extreme bad past personal experiences with cheap dangerous clones. I purchased a few items and a couple of their juices that they make. So far I'm very pleased. I got my fingers crossed that this will be a honest and decent shop. Hopefully after a few more times up there and talking with them,I can do a decent review and give anyone in this area a better b&m option.
Excellent @Stone. I do the same things. If a new shop opens up, I check it out-buy a few things and I ask tons of questions to see if their sharp or not! My opinions, if they aren't sharp enough or items are HIGH priced. Then they are for the $$$$ Only... At that point I take what I bought and walk straight out/never return
They were defiantly a breath if fresh air. Courteous, willing to listen, and willing to explain. They weren't pushy at all and seemed like the care about the vaping community and not just making a quick buck. It was my first time there so I'll have to make a few more trips up there before I can completely make my mind up, but so far I'm pleased. It's a further drive and in a different town, but it was worth the ride.Excellent @Stone. I do the same things. Sadly, this is becoming more and more frequent practice with so many B&M stores popping up. I've heard this from other people on numerous occasions. With "clones" coming out at or above the quality standards of the original, it can be hard to ascertain the authenticity of a device, especially if you are new to vaping, and/or have no experience with that particular device.
There are several local stores here in Las Vegas, and luckily, I've found a few of the good ones. They clearly label everything and actually separate the clones from the authentic devices in different display cases.
I am a supporter of cheaper alternatives when it comes to the clone discussion, however, selling counterfeits is a crime and completely immoral. It's a shame that it happens, but, sadly, it does.

It is a sad practice , but as you said more and more b&m shops are doing this very thing. I make sure now anytime I plan on purchasing a item I research every thing I can find on it. Keeping my fingers crossed and taking their word for it just can't cut it anymore. But I am very happy some b&m shops do label accordingly and are honest. Big thumbs up to those shops!
