I bet it is, and I'm pretty sure I still have some. Kinda bummed about the butter, though. I have some TFA Butter, but put it away when I found out about the diacetyl thing. It's still tempting, though :D
Go for it. I'm thinking all the flavorings might be pretty light in that recipie.

Yeah, I don't taste butter in it, so I'd definitely go light on that one especially. I have all the ingredients in my calculator, so may have to fit some mixing in tomorrow. Anyone else who's had the AiV, feel free to chime in!

White rabbit is a very subtle vape. I would just have to buy some and vape it while mixing. I don't know... I'll think on it.

I wonder if that " cake" is vanilla cupcake ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It is a subtle vape, certainly not an in-your-face type. It's quite possible cake is a reference to vanilla cupcake. I could see that working. I only vaped one 30ml bottle of it. But getting a bottle and trying it alongside mixing is probably the only way to go with that one. To me it tasted like a nice rich buttery cake. I never picked up much coconut or pineapple in it.

As for not posting much, I'm one of those rogue people. I almost never mix in bulk - nor follow a pat recipe. I like lots of variety even if it's just a small tweak. Even if I buy a juice, I end up messing with it. :D I like to mix on the fly and vape. I use REOs with 6ml bottles and run various flavor families in them - dessert type, fruity, minty, and something citrus usually lime. So I vape them down, then add some base and combination of flavoring by drops, shake and vape. I've been doing this since I read HIC's 6ml FA testing notes. (He's such an asset for DIYers and his notes and work are just invaluable - can't thank him enough!) It works very well for me, I never get bored of my flavors, and I prefer my stuff over pre-made.

One of my favs right now is a mix of roughly 2% coconut, 1% marzipan and 0.5% of irish cream. It's also good with an added drop or two of vanilla tahiti. Another fav that I mix frequently is black tea with fresh cream and forest fruit.

To me it taste like a fresh unlite ciggy smells. Do you make any that resemble something like that? Oh how I LOVE that smell!

2-4% Real Cig VZ vaping zone
1-2% Parlament VZ
.5% Vanilla Tahiti
.5% Apple cider vinegar

can be shake and vape.. better after 3 days..

My kinda vaper!

I'm not sure that I never get bored of my flavors, though. Sometimes nothing sounds good, and I'm not in the mood to experiment. Like tonight! I filled a tank with unflavored, added a drop of lemon and one of strawberry. Done. Not creative, not precise, but still a nice strawberry lemonade. It'll do.

I'm not always creative either and I've made a dud or two that I just couldn't stand. But those are few and far between. I almost always have dregs of something in my bottles when I mix new. I just mix right on top of it. Not precise either, but similar flavor profiles. Maybe a bit more lemon, or custard, so things are constantly evolving. For example, I'd been vaping chocolate mint mutations in one bottle for about a week and now it's evolved into minty vanilla. All the variations getting to the minty vanilla have been yummy. Being exact isn't an issue for me and I like it that way. (Too many other things in life that have to be exact.) I do thank you heartily for all your notes and sharing. It really helped me consistently find great vapes. :)

You're very welcome; I'm always glad to hear about DIY success.
"chocolate mint mutations" - mmmmmm! I need a recipe with "mutation" in the name...

Which brand and name?? And you did say from BCV - right?o_O
FA Lime Cold Pressed looks like it contains actual lime juice - with white (I suppose actually light green) bits of lime that mostly sink when you let it sit around. I have a year-old, nearly-empty bottle and a fresh one (one from rts, one from purevapes). Both look like I describe.

If I saw brown, red, or rust stuff that floats, I'd hesitate to use it. You could send a picture to FA and see what they say.
It's original bottle from FA, I did purchase through BCV, but this definitely isn't a reflection of BCV by any means. Drew said he was going to contact FA and look into it (he was out of CP when I spoke to him)
It definitely looks like lime juice but those spots seem to be constantly floating, I've shaken this bottle to death... Thanks for the input everyone!

To me, FA Desert Ship tastes like fresh tobacco leaves, fresh mixed standalone

There are alot of lurkers here in this thread and the recipie thread. A big draw to VU. I think we need a cut of the action on the adds you see below to help pay for all our flavor orders.....You know, to keep us going...........Gotta pay the entertainment you know :D
I don't think it would be too crazy of an idea for them to do some FA giveaways.

Any of you guys/gals up for trying out my cherry cavendish experiment? Its not finished I just wanted some input. 3% black cherry, 2% maxx blend, 2% vanilla bourbon, 1% perique black, 1% caramel. This is attempt #3 today my tongue is tired. You can do it in parts if you want to cut back on the strength. I have just been working in 3ml tests so everything is in whole percents.

You laugh, but I've seriously wondered about applying nic base as a lotion when I'm craving nic. No, I haven't done it....don't know how to calculate the amount/rate of nic delivery by that method. But I did find there was a company making such a thing - at uselessly-low nic strength.
Haha! They make the patch, yes? Perhaps you can patten something for vaprers! Lol

ok I have told a few people the full story and I'll let er rip here just so everyone can here my side of the story. someone on ECF asked what to do with TFA maryjane. it was dead silent. me being the funny guy I am said oh you dont want to get caught with that you better send it to me. that unleashed the fury of the mods. next thing you know I got a warning from a mod. cant remember who was first but anyways I checked the thread to see what the heck I said that was so wrong. when I looked everytime the word maryjane was mentioned in that thread it was edited and replaced with -- [the other flavor] --- or something stupid like that. was in one of those moods so proceeded to argue and protest my warning and the fact that that is the name of the flavor. its not like I just made a random post about growing and smoking weed and cheech and chong and bong rips. just a simple little joke. that escalated into 3 or 4 mods messaging me. I went on the purevapes thread to post one last message to you guys because I knew I was out the door after all that . they deleted my farewell message to you guys. no reference to anything just saying bye. that set me off and I posted my world famous recipe that sealed the deal for my fate in ecf. here is the recipe lol

ECF mods can kiss my hairy white bottom

10% dark vapor
10% bread crust
10% roasted chicken
50% maryjane

hahaha oh man they didnt like that at all.I dont regret what I said. I know at the end I was a bit childish and rebellious but on the flip side I am a grown ass man and wont be censored or told what I can and cant say. vaping is an adult activity and ECF is a site for adults. I understand what they mean when they say they dont want drugs and vaping to be in the same category. but guess what people have been drinking and smoking and doing drugs long before vaping and will continue to do so with or without my little comment. the only thing I feel bad about is that I feel I gave the FA purevapes crew a bad name. that was never my intention. thats why I keep saying for everyone to be cool. I love that you guys are standing up for me but thats what got me in trouble. standing up for a newbie that had no idea the extreme ECF goes to , to keep their iron fist of control.
WOW! I must say I feel sorry for those people in a way! Life should be lived with a sense of humor always in your pocket! It should be enjoyed to the fullest! How sad! I can't imagine walking around with a stick up my ass!

Yep, it was pretty ridiculous. MARY JANE MARY JANE MARY JANE . . . lol :D
Hopefully the mods here will never get crazy like that but officially the rules state "No Drug related pics, videos or posts please,".

At least one of the mods here is on a crusade against the DNA40 board by Evolv because he thinks it is for dry herb vaporizers.

Have to save on using these bad hands wherever possible:):oops:also NN is the state under me and VT is across the states lol:cool:

Yeah, after I get the recipes down I might go ahead and try to mix base again but for now no lol I am the 1 who had to chuck lots of nic base because the heat in here killed it

Oh, no! I store mine in the freezer. I need to go order some. I have 12 mg, but want to go down to 9, so I'm going to order 6 mg and mix it.

The already mixed base? I plan on getting the 100mg after I get my flavorings down and that I will put into colored glass bottles and put into the freezer - but the already mixed base will go into the fridge:)

Perdy please, it should be a dark fermented tobacco, sugar dipped with cherry upfront, smooth vanilla undertone and hint of anise. Its pretty close just looking to see which way to go on some half percentages. Maybe thinking of adding a little cherry or black currant or something to kick it up a little.

i'd try adding some orange/tangerine.. some lime..
cavendish is supposed to be a mix of different fruits.. dried.. smoked..
might want to add some dark vapor to it too.. ;)

Rygon.. I don't have those tobaccos so I am no help either, sorry.
I have not read those 2 threads you mentioned.
I found it odd that it is not suppose to be discussed but that thread was started by an admin.
I have seen a few talking about it in various places but just can't be bothered by that nonsense.

Cavendish pipe tobacco? I'm not a pipe tobacco expert but the ones I am familiar with are cherry cavendish, whisky cavendish, or vanilla cavendish. I don't know of fruit mixes.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with them and the DNA40. The last episode of Mod envy they totally went crazy on it.

I understand probably not many have the Perique Black. Its very strong but its crucial for a cavendish IMO. Perique tobacco is a pressure fermented tobacco as is cavendish.

I like reading up on tobaccos.. or better yet, head over to one here in town..
you can ask them anything, or sample it in store.. ;)

or something a bit better..

http://pipedia.org/wiki/Pipe_Tobaccos

here is something I want to try:

https://www.myvapejuice.com/product_info.php/products_id/471
I have heard of black cavendish but I've never tried it.

Here is a cherry cavendish from the brand that flavoring is extracted from.

Either I got a bad bottle or my taste buds are shot but I tried catalan cream at 3% and it was way to light so I mixed every level until I got to 10% and it's really good...it's so weird

I happen to have candy pumpkins handy so I tried your trick and wow that was crazy! It did bump it up but I don't understand why? is it the honey? How do I get it to taste like that all the time. I made a creme brulee using advice from hic and while I think it's good its just too light whilst not accompanied by candy pumpkins, which I would love in a vape version

Congrats. The K100/101 are great starter mechs. Pretty good voltage drop for all SS mod.
my wifes favorite mech is her pink K100. that thing hits so hard man and solid construction. the thing is a beast. she is not hard on things like I am but hers is a year old and is still like new. I was impressed with it. I still like the panzers tho. just my style.

Thanks HIC. not looking good this year. going to spoil her for sure but we cant find a babysitter. :/ took off friday -monday just incase we can break away. if not we can snuggle by the fire and pretend we are somewhere awesome lol. we have fun all the time anyways. I proposed to her with a bread tie. twisted it into a circle. she went all the way to when we exchanged rings thinking she was only getting that bread tie. maybe she knew I wouldnt do that either I dont know really. we kinda just have each other and the kids but thats plenty for me :)

Don't you hate when you crave a cig? All my creativity goes out the window when that happens. I'm vaping about 2% Tuscan with about .5% Black Fire, so I don't have to mix anything complicated. This is pretty good. Anyone else like Tuscan fairly unadorned? It's a little stronger than the Cuban Supreme I usually reach for, but still one I enjoy.

It's been hit or miss mixing this week. I've made some that were almost there but I can't figure out how to push them over the edge. I've been playing with tart and sour which is strong! Is tfa sweetner any good? I've never used a sweetner before so I have no idea on percentages or anything lol

SEEEEEE!!!??? I'M NOT CRAZY!!! BUT... WHYYYYY?

plagiarized snippets from online:

"Vanilla is a powerful “flavor potentiator,” meaning it enhances our ability to taste other foods including chocolate, coffee, fruit, and nuts, and boosts our perception of sweetness.... both pure and imitation vanilla.."

"The active ingredient, ethyl vanillin, is chemically synthesized and marketed as "vanillin." Ethyl vanillin has 3.5 times the flavor intensity of vanilla bean extract."

So I gather the faker, the better.
