I cant decide what to build on my mech mod. And what batteries to buy.
My goal is more clouds i dont really care about flavor as long as its just fine
Ohms: 0.17-25
BUILD:
A. Dual 22 gauge kanthal 8 wraps on 3mm
B. Dual 24 gauge kanthal 5 wraps on 3mm
C. Dual 24 parallel kanthal 8 wraps on 3mm
D. Dual 26 parallel kanthal 6 wraps on 3mm
BATTERY:
A. VTC4
B. VTC5
C. SAMSUNG 25R

You guys can also suggest batteries and builds as long as the build is made out of kanthal, tell me the ohms too. Thanks yall.

@Whiskey can you merge?

Why create three threads for the same question?

There are plenty of threads already that'll help you in learning what you need to know for these choices.
Spends some time here and KNOW ohms law:

I suggest Sony VTC5a batteries they have a CDR of 25A and capacity of 2500mAh

Assuming you are using kanthal A1 26 gauge wire which is what I'd choose from your list

A dual coil with 3mm diameter with 6 wraps (leg length of 3mm)
Will give you
a) Approx 0.4 ohm - simple round wrap
b) Approx 0.25 ohm for a 2 wire twisted (twist pitch of 10)

Fully charged (Assuming single battery device here)

Using set up a)

Resistence 0.4ohm
Voltage 4.2V
Current 10.5A
Wattage 44.10W

Using set up b)

Resistence 0.25ohm
Voltage 4.2V
Current 16.8A
Wattage 70.56W

Note:
1) please use http://www.steam-engine.org/ohm.html (to verify everything)
2) use a resistence meter when setting up your coils, whatever they come out (resistence wise) might differ from the above hence look at note 1

Yeah agree with paratech @Markw4mms can these threads be merged into one please? posting three of the same topic is not cool

Anyway I responded in the other thread .... but I've given you the answer there in hindsight I'd prefer it you come with what you think the answer is and we can verify it for you at least that shows you've researched a little :(

Clouds, I'm 99.99% on Mech's and I'm certainly not a "Clouds Bro". If you're looking for clouds you seriously would be best of with a regulated Mod. With the pre-heat options of the newer chipsets and being able to build stupid low.

With that said series mod is the way to go with LG HB6's or Sony VTC5A's. The LG's are 30a but only 1500 mAh and the Sony VTC5a's are 25a with 2500 mAh. With a pair of 30x2/38 fused claptons @ 0.5 Ohms, that'll allow you to kick some obscene clouds. For a single tube mod 28x2/36 SS fused claptons around 0.17 ohms will really allow you to chuck some respectable clouds. Both of these builds will give a very dense cloud production and be very responsive. You will also need a lot of air flow so the Atty you're using matters a lot

I did reply and gave you a couple of options....Did you not read that response? Getting uptight isn't going to help you'll just alienate yourself, ask further questions if you are not happy with responses pick out specifics and work through until you reach a conclusion :)

It may have been how you approached the original question

A different way to ask this could have been what batteries do you recommend if I want to the run the following set up....

Also I have the following gauge kanthal wire out of these which would you chose for clouds and what coil type will perform best for that

Asking people to tell you the ohms of whatever they come up with is going to get you the responses you have, as without further information it's easy to assume you don't know ohms law or what steam engine is. The amount of people wanting to try or use a mech without knowing the first thing about all the safety aspects is astonishing, and you didn't offer any information about whether you knew about mechs up front

I read your response , it was one of the responses i was looking for but obviously i need more than one opinion, also im not uptight im just complaining because ive made threads for like weeks and still dont get the response i really need, instead i get people saying things and asking stuff instead of gibing me a direct answer about what they think. Also i definitely know ohms law because i wouldnt ask questions about resistance and battery stuff if i didnt. Also i dont need to work through to find a conclusion since its just really simple to answer my question just reply A/B/C/D or just recommend a build yourself. Altough ive thought about using a different approach to my question like wat you just said but i really dont think i need to, i just need a quick response, shouldve started a poll tho

the sony vtc5 don't exist anymore they stopped production 2 years ago all the ones you see now are chinese clones/fakes. i use samsung 25r or lg hg4's. mech and unregulated mods used to have the edge because of sub ohm now regulated mods can do sub ohm also so there's no point to risk yourself with a mech or unregulated mod.

P.S i really need more opinions and responses lol
Ok, here’s my opinion and suggestions.

There is no magical “direct answer” to give you “more clouds” because that’s subjective.

You say you know ohms law, so take the advise and information already given, buy the wire and batteries, then try different safe builds until you find the one YOU like. Folks have given you a lot of good stuff to work with. As much as you would like, "more clouds" is NOT just a simple math equation.
