I tried a few quick hits on my Buddha Zephyr with dual 7 wrap 24g Kanthal 3.5mm i.d. at .22 and I think it was too low as it was insane as far as how quick and hard it was hitting so I'm gonna stick with .4 and higher.
BTW, What guage and type wire do you like using in your unregulated dual series mods?

11 wraps around a 3mm ID came to a .61 and gives a real smooth vape

What guage core and wraps are you Claptons?
I have a roll of 24g Kanthal, a roll of 26g SS316 and a roll of 32g Kanthal. I use the 32g just for Clapton builds. I need to stock up on more wire.

it's a good wire to use on mechs because it's a higher resistance then most of the fancy coils. that's why i got a spool. and it vapes really well

That's the same wire I'm using in my Petri RTA on the noisy Cricket I think I did 8 wraps on 3 or 3.5 and it's was like .43. This wire would melt before good batteries would vent.
Edit for handcheck:
I really like the appearance of the black cricket. Very minimal. Looks premium combined with the Petri. Funny that this thing is actually dirt cheap. And it's even more funny that I still don't own one. I guess I need to do something about it RIGHT NOW.

I second that, with the Petri. It's maybe my favorite of all time for looks; compact, simple AF, dependable. I bought multiple back when they were $45 each.

My favorite up to date.... I have a Triade that in (6) months, lost the paint, the 510 needs to be tightened every (2) or (3) days but it's been good after lost Vapes replaced the evolve chip and after waiting (2) months.
The HCigar is solid, lighter, better magnets and can hold a 30mm or larger Atty easily..... Top 510.... And the fit in the hand is bad ass.....
It's worth the money....
