Joyetech Egrip - Very Interesting Mod

So, I am a total sucker for small mods...let's start there :)

I stopped in my local B&M shoot to kill some time and ended up bringing home the Joyetech Egrip. I am a Kayfun fan and use them almost exclusively on my mods; Provari, VaporShark, iStick, ZNA clone (when working) and the occasional mech.

What struck me about the Egrip was the size (of course) and the weight. It has a nice heft to it without being too much. It is really comfy in the hand and should be a nice, "ready, set, go" device when I am feeling lazy and not in the mood to build a coil. At first pass, I like the quality.

The vape is very nice; packs a nice punch and with 6mg 50/50, I have not gotten any dry hits. I am a low watt user, 8-10, so for me, it more than delivers. Truthfully, I am pleasantly surprised with the flavor, too.

This mod will not replace anything else I have and cannot see the Egrip replacing my Kayfuns. But, I have been on the look out for a good tank system, with really good flavor in a small package. It's way too early to tell how this mod will stand the test of time, but so far, the darn thing is a whole lot of fun and it more than fits my needs for grab n' go!

I saw that and wrote it off for the 1500 mAh capacity , surprised the Estick and vaporshark don't cut it for size and easy vape , just stick a clearo on them set the watts low and go.

I got one from my local b/m to test out. Quite frankly I'm impressed. Don't like the battery being fused with the atty, but it does kick vapor, especially at 20 watts. really thick e juice won't cut it, but a 40/60 blend is great at 20 watts. I will continue my vape testing. BTW, the Chrome version is a a fingerprint magnet. The down side is the price of the heads.

Yes, the IStick and Vaporshark do cut it for me. But, besides being a sucker for small mods, I like to try new things. So, I am enjoying it for what it is and not asking it to be something it's not. :)

If I didn't already have 3 18650 tube 15-20w VW devices, I would probably get one of these...

Well should of just said so then lol, being a sucker for new compact mods is always a legit excuse.

The price of the heads is what threw me - innokin always overcharges for things like that.. just don't see the purpose to it right now

Yea, the heads are not cheap, they are Joyetech, not Innokin. However, the shop manager has one and he is getting several (4-6) weeks out of his. He cleans it regularly and does a dry burn, too. He does use a high VG, 24 mg liquid, too. I know a lot of this is variable, but it gave me a little optimism. We shall see if it pans out.

Again, this will not be my everyday mod...it will likely live a lot in the car and as something to grab quickly and go. It is working out well thus far.

woops - yea i meant Joyetech - when I had the evic and the control head broke they were charging like 80$ just for the head but the entire evic kit itself was 100$.. it made no sense to me

Yikes! That does seem crazy. I have never owned a Joyetech product before, so a lot is uncertain for me. I hope I do not run into issues, as I put the eGrip through its paces. Under most circumstances I subscribe to the principal that "form should follow function" but in this case....yes, I went for form first! Hoping the function end holds up ;-)

my evic was a great device -the only thing that went was the threads.. but other than that it worked great for about a year .. they usually make quality products so hopefully it stands the test!
